Game is not working : Need help

hi all i have TDU and i love the game and used to play it alot and wish i still could

something is wrong with my game either pc because i have completely removed the game from my pc( i deleted the directory as well) and it still doesn't work!!!

i have also spent a fair amount of money on the mega pack and the whole thing is going to waste

if you can help me with my problem plz pm or leave a reply

Reinstall it???

 

That will give you a fresh install.

 

But forgive me if I've misread your post but "I have completely removed the game from my pc( i deleted the directory as well) and it still doesn't work!!!" Of course it wont work if you've deleted it?? :oook:

hey thx for replying

wat the problem is that i deleted the directory and reinstalled the game and started it and it keeps crashing as in it freezes(in task manager it says "Not responding"). i also deleted my savegames but that didn't help either

Where does the game crash? Before or after the videos?

it crashes after the videos

the 2 places it crashes are

1:) when it is loading after i have chosen my rental car

2:)when it is loading after i have chosen my house

also when it has the video of my guy on the plane and he is seeing a street race in his head the sound isn't there 100% of the time

What's the specs of your PC (or Mac)?

 

Are you playing on an offline or a online profile. I've just been recently playing on an online profile and it has been crashing quite a bit...

my pc is an alienware with 2GB ram

3.8ghz processor and nvidia gforce go fx1400 graphics

pentium 4 CPU

also it is an offline profile

Which OS and what version of the game? There's just too many questions to ask you to debug what the problem is (I think I used that term wrong...).

 

I noticed that your original post said Nvidia GF 6600 (according to my email :D).

soz i made mistake

it's windows xp service pack 3 with zune desktop theme

game version is 1.66a

You may not like this, but it will actually do a bunch of good things.

 

Backup your important files, and format/install XP from scratch. I usually do that every 6-12 months. It's a good thing to do :).

hey all still need help

 

i turned of the anti virus but that does not seem to help

p.s is there any other way to fix my problem other than doing a system restore or complete wipe of the pc

I fixed the problem

by dad just load anther os on top and works fine!!

 

really happy with result
