"Forza Motorsport's" appreciation of the automobile is due in large part to the team's attention to detail. This is why automotive engineers from manufacturers like Audi and champion race teams like Peugeot as well as experienced computer graphics specialists from across Microsoft have all teamed up with Turn 10 to make "Forza Motorsport 3" the most beautiful and realistic racing game ever made. All 400-plus cars in the game have been built with more than 10 times the amount of polygons as "Forza Motorsport 2." This includes painstakingly researched cockpits and interiors for every vehicle. But realism isn't just about pretty graphics. Turn 10 takes realism to new heights, leading the industry with the most advanced physics model, artificial intelligence and damage calculations. t's easy to go for a spin: "Forza Motorsport 3" redefines the racing genre by blurring the definition of simulation and arcade. Simulation games can be too hard for some players. "Forza Motorsport 3" rises above the distinction between simulation and arcade games by using a myriad of cutting-edge driving and gameplay assists such as auto-braking, gameplay rewind and auto-tuning. "Forza Motorsport 3" delivers an experience where everyone can have fun behind the wheel, regardless of your skill and dexterity. Whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned racing game pro, "Forza Motorsport 3" caters to how you drive and the game evolves with you over time as your skills develop.Painters and tuners will once again be able to showcase creativity through the celebrated Livery Editor, Auction House and deep tuning garage in "Forza Motorsport 3." The car is literally the artistic canvas as some of the world's most creative car painters and designers find new layers of depth and freedom to create shocking visual masterpieces before sharing them with others over Xbox LIVE*. Each car in "Forza Motorsport 3" is fully upgradable, allowing gear heads to take on the challenge of turning a Honda Civic into a supercar killer. New Xbox LIVE scoreboards celebrate not only the greatest racers but also the most prolific car tuners and painters in the community.

Key features of Forza 3 include:

* Highly detailed real-world car and track models (over 400 cars and 100 tracks).

* Near limitless customization options for car tuning and custom artwork.

* A variety of online community features.

* Highly accurate racing simulation including real world damage.

* New race modes (drag, drift, oval, point to point racing, etc.)

* Powerful assist system to help new players get into the game quickly.

As said many times how can a xbox360 game have 3 disc's?? As soon as you open the disk tray it goes to the dashboard, unlike the PS2 where FF VII you could swap disks.

The only way round it would be to install it on to your HDD. So as the average game is 6.0 GB and Forza 3 is on 3 disks you would need 18GB of HDD space, all good for new premium and elite users but for older premium users you couldn't do it as you don't even have that much to start with after all the system files and formatting.

If it does have more than one disk they will do it the same way as Final Fantasy XIII will do it.

Brilliant!

I've no doubt it will be even better than 2.

Hopefully they'll keep it pure and not taint it with gimmicky features.

Looks like I might have to get a wheel after all. I didn't feel necessary in FM2 but i really noticed my lack of a wheel when I played through Grid recently.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well so far from what i have gathered there will be 2 disks one disk will have the game and what not and the second disk will have cars so from the things i have been hearing to get those cars on the second disk u will need to install it on the hard drive..

But this is what Ive heard so i don't know if its true or not

So you have to install the Car disk, which will be what... 4/5GB? Then if you want to be able to hear yourself think you'll need to install the game disk which will be.. I guess around about 4GB since the cars will be stored on the second disk. So all in all Forza 3 will be after about 10GB of space... ouch.

From what's understood the other disc contains extra cars. The main career, tracks and such are on the main disc, the other is essentially the same as the platinum disc for FM2 whereby it's installed onto your HDD.

A DVD9 can only give you so much.

Oh also they want more money again, this time for DLC or something and exclusive Auction house stuff. How does this work? Simple become a Forza Motorsport VIP! Yes that's right pay a price and get all future DLC for free (this is supposedly the plan anyway) and access to an exclusive VIP section at the top of the Auction House. It's also not completely known how the WMV HD video upload feature will be utilised (if anything) for VIP's.
