Test Drive Unlimited has been confirmed as one of the launch titles for Microsoft's new games on demand service, which is due to hit later this month with the compulsory Dashboard upgrade (or now for all you lucky kids in on the beta).

Here's the proper article listing all the launch titles for the new service.

Can't be bothered to drag yourself to the nearest brick-and-mortar to pick up your Xbox 360 games? Don't worry' date=' you won't be penalized for your [i']sloth[/i] -- this coming Tuesday, the first batch of 21 titles will be added to the Games on Demand service, a new feature in the anticipated dashboard update. There are no costs attached to these titles yet, but Microsoft says they'll be similar in price to their tangible counterparts.

We've got the full list of games posted after the break -- highlights include Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and ... Viva Piñata. What? We love ambulatory piñatas! Deal with it.

  • Assassin's Creed
  • Need for Speed: Most Wanted
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Call of Duty 2
  • Prey
  • Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis
  • Fight Night Round 3
  • SEGA Rally
  • Kameo: Elements of Power
  • Test Drive: Unlimited
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
  • Mass Effect
  • Tomb Raider: Legend
  • Meet The Robinsons
  • Viva Piñata
  • MX vs. ATV Untamed
  • Viva Piñata 2: Trouble in Paradise
  • Need for Speed Carbon

Doubtless it'll still be cheaper to pop down GAME for a used copy but still it should be good if you need an immediate TDU fix and your disc has just broken... and it's Christmas day.

WOW, out of all the hundreds of XBOX 360 games available. Microsoft chose Test Drive Unlimited as one of them.

I Notice that the first few games selected for the On Demand Download, are active multiplayer games still played today in high quantities.

Rainbow Six Vegas, Call of Duty 2, Burnout Paradise, MX VS ATV and The Need for Speed Carbon and Most Wanted games. :)
