No problem. I think I was a bit harsh with the way I said that earlier and wasn't thinking.

Infact I think I only said that because theres already a thing in the profile area which you can note down all your components and someone just needs to click on the icon on a post and can see them. However, I think this is a good idea so I will post my specs in here too. ;)

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

Cooler : Asus Triton 78

Motherboard: Asus P5N72-T Premium

Memory: 4GB Corsair 800mhz

Graphics Card: BFG GeForce GTX285 OC2

Might aswell post my relatively rubbish specs here. I would upgrade but I'm going to uni next year and will need a laptop anyway.

I manage to run every game I've tried on it on high settings and 1440x900 with no lag (Exceptions, GTA IV and Far Cry 2), not sure how but I'm not complaining.

No problem matey :) You willing to sell that PSU?

Depends. I'm trying to find out the problem with my computer. I have these random freezes and bsod's which I think might be caused because the Power Supply is faulty, so I am trying a new Power Supply to see if I still get the random crashes and freezes. If it so happens that I do still get the random crashes after I have changed the Power Supply, I will know that something else is causing my computer to crash.

But, yes, if the Power Supply isn't the cause and you really want to have it then we can discuss it at a later date. ;)

I am an old school type of guy, and try to get things on the cheap because I have only one income and need to budget myself.

Here are my humble specs, some will probably be surprised I can even run the games I have:

Dell 670 Precision desktop (given to me!)

Proccesor: Intel XEON 3.6 GHz 2MB 800 CPU 3600DP SL7ZC (single core)

4 gigs of standard 670 compatible DRAM (not anything fancy like Corsair stuff)

EVGA GTX 280 SSC video card

120 gig standard 670 HDD

1 TB Hitachi HDD

using standard 670 built in sound hardware (no surround cards)

670 comes standard with 650 watt power supply.

installed high air flow 120 volt fan to extract hot air (has it's own 120v power cord)

24" LG LCD Monitor

Pioneer micro 80 watt CD-Amp with two mini speakers in wooden cabinets.

Yamaha self-powered sub-woofer

Logitech G11 keyboard

Logitech G25

Logitech Wingman flight stick

Bargain type no-name wireless mouse (works great!)

Walmart narrow type black and silver computer stand

Goodwill aquired computer leather chair

:eek2:

Until I can get a new one purchased or built.

Believe it or not can run the following:

GRID in Ultra mode everything high!

Sega Rally Revo all at the highest settings!

TDU no surprise at the highest settings

Richard Burns Rally-highest

Xpand Rally-highest

NFS-Most Wanted-highest

Carbon-highest

Joint Task Force-highest

COD 4-highest

COD WaW-highest

Crysis-mixed settings med/high

others too...etc...

ones I have trouble with:

Dirt

The games do hesitate (frame rate drop/tank) for about a 1/2 second during gameplay from timt to time:confused:. I attribute this to the out of date processor.

So one day I will get a new comp with either a duo or quad core and further hardware enhancements.
