What car should I get for a Rally beginners car?

I've already had this sort of convo with Pressurized on Skype, but I thought about what your opinions would be :P

List of cars I'm considering:

Peugeot 205

Peugeot 306

Mazda RX-7 Series 1-2

Toyota Corolla

Ford Laser KF

Nissan Micra

Mazda 121

Nissan Skyline R30

Mitsubishi Mirage\Lancer

Porsche 944

Citroen Xsara

BMW E30

Datsun 240Z\260Z\280ZX

Nissan 180SX

Datsun 180B

Nissan 300ZX (Z31)

What do you guys think? I had other cars but I somehow forgot the rest....:(

If you got any suggestions for me then do tell :)

Mind you this is sort of a dream or a little project I'll work on after I get my license.

Go here if you want: http://www.carsales.com.au/?rs_ref=ppc?gclid=CIyslJiv5aACFRKybwodNGkmHg

Recommend you go advanced search :)

Well, so far the best rally cars i've seen have been the Pug 306 and the Citroen Xsara. I'd stay away from the Porsche 944, its a classic car! I personally wouldn't even think of rallying half the cars on that list, best sticking to FWD too :D

Either of the Peugeots would be fine. The Xsara, also. The Peugeot 306 will have lift-off oversteer too, but it shouldn't be that much of a problem, if it's semi-serious rallying the suspension will be changed slightly anyway otherwise your car wont last two minutes. If you can't handle lift-off oversteer I'd say you're in the wrong profession if you're doing rallying. Harsh, but you should be prepared for anything.

The choices after those would be a Corolla or Micra. I've seen a few E30 BMW's rallying but I'd prefer it if one was saved from a rough end to it's life.

I wouldn't take a second look at the rest of them.
