Toyota Team Europe Castrol Celica GT4 WRC

Hi all,

Just wanted to drop a little request for a truly awesome, historical famous racecar, which I think should certainly be in this game. I'm surprised no one has made it yet. I actually have the Tamiya RC version lol.

 

There are several Celica models around, so really it might just be a question of putting the decals / livery on it. If I had the software and knew how, I would do it, but I don't. Anyway, there are MANY pics of this famous car on the 'net, which was driven by Didier Auriol in the World Rally Cup series of races all over the world. The livery and lights, brush guards, etc. may vary on where they are racing, but I would leave that up to the modder which version they want to make. A 1993 Rallye Monte Carlo, or Safari Rally Trim setup or whatever.

Add a white brush guard for those lights to mount on, and it would look like my RC version :)

I don't know, but maybe those could just be copied and pasted somehow? That would make it faster maybe. I tried to find a good scan of the decal sheet from the model, Tamiya #92200, but the only one I could find had a website name plastered across it, and I know they don't like that here. And it wasn't the best quality scan either. There were a couple of other Tamiya kits as well that featured this car, #58129 and 24125 as well.

 

Also, there is some good info on Wikipedia about Toyota Motorsport GmbH, or TTE, (Toyota Team Europe). Anyways, I just think it would be a really fun car to have in the game, even if it's not a rally racing game, some of those roads are rough enough to qualify lol.

The stock version of that car has already been done two or three times by different modders, including left and right hand drive versions, but never with the rally paintjob.

But it would still be freakin' awesome to have the rally version. Didn't Atari / Eden make a rally game several years back? Maybe it had the car in a format that could be converted?
