There's a new model out here which has a couple of extra features:

But the great news is that you can now get the older model that i have for a considerable price drop. Sure, the menu wasn't the easiest thing to operate (but for the most part you only set your options once then leave it alone, just turn on, start recording, stop recording, turn off), but let's not forget that a lot of AAA TV programs used the GoPro as extra 'action' cameras. I've seen them plenty of times on Mythbusters, TopGear, adventure programs ala Bear Grills, etc, etc - so if you were tempted before, now might be the change to get a small HD video camera in your car or elsewhere.

 

My first test video using the older GoPro Hero HD (Motorsports) is attached for reference:
