Far Cry 3

I'm ordering this game in about 10 minutes or so (or tomorrow if I cba doing it now :lol:), looks way too awesome :D + I'm one of the few people who actually liked Far Cry 2 and even the haters are liking this so it can only be good :)

Ordering it online saves me a third of the price. Nearly 60€ if I go buy it from a store (+ 100 kilometers worth of fuel) and about 40€ if I order it online.

 

Now, should I press a few buttons and have the game in my mailbox on monday or spend more money and drive 200 kilometers for it :hmmm:

Is it really worth the money? What is the gameplay like? As in running, walking, etc.

Well from what critics have said its an amazing game similar to just cause 2 which is brilliant giant open world etc its worth it IMO

 

In other news

I just finished h a l o 4 campaign is my god :eek: this will have a hard time being theme of the year for me probably second best game :mhmm: h a l o 4 is just amazing

Received my copy from ShopTo today, longest day at work ever... until the day GTA V is released anyway. Not really arsed about saving £2.63 or whatever other deals people have found so I'm happy :p

 

Got it installed. Already have a Uplay account somehow, when I first entered the name GTAMADDOG it said "This username is taken" and I was confused as frig why someone would use my name. Turns out I've somehow already registered.

 

There is an update which is taking ages for me to download, but I imagine that's a combination of my slow internet and the hit the servers are taking rather than a huge update.

Played this on the xbox today and all i can say is WOW! Its blooomin amazing not got that far but just got totaly drawn into it...

 

Hated Far Cry 2 with passion though lol

Just a quick test of my first proper recording with my Intesity Pro Capture card one @ 720p & one at 1080p recording. Can you guys pick out a difference of quality over the two?

The 1080p is definitely higher quality. Surprised at how good the 360 version's graphics are too.

Thanks will keep it set to record the 1080p from now on :) And yeah the 360 version of Far Cry 3 has amazing graphics which is quite surprising!

I'm surprised that tons of people hated FC2.

 

It wasn't the best game but on consoles, for all that grass to display in the quality that it did without lag.. I found that quite amazing.

I think the AI would be more or less "insane" than the past AI :p
