Congrats on your trip Scoob! Hope you had enjoyed your stay there. I'd really like to go to London (though I've been several times in Europe, I never went to the UK), and I'd like to go back to Paris, I was a little child when I went there.

Hope to see some more pics!

Looks like you really enjoyed London! :)

Got some good photos as well!

Was thinking why you said you saw a few LR Defenders as there common here...but remembered that stateside there illegal due to the 25 year rule. (Imported ones get crushed and such)

also don't call them taxis it's weird :P

I would've highly recommended you to go to a place called soho(the real one not the fake nyc one). especially around 4am :D

Yeah, It's a Cab over here...or the better term is "Over priced W...."

And yeah..Soho at 4am...

Nice, looks like you had a good time :p Interested to see those DSLR shots.

Seeing that R33 must have been a momentous moment for you considering you come from the US :p

London and Paris are both on my hit lists for when I go to Europe, whether I get to the both of them though, well that's a different story. Definitely want to get to London at least and do some Zonda spotting. I won't move until I see a Zonda, then I will promptly move in the way of falling over backwards after fainting.

glad you had fun.

Also paris is always fun, was there not too long ago.

Oh right! Will fix. :) And yes, I did go but I can't remember which day it was and why I don't have any pics. :hmmm:

You should go when you have the chance! I'd love to go back, although Paris did frighten me at first. Some guy at a Metro station claimed he worked there and wanted to help us but we got tricked into doing so.

Great pics there Scoob, sounds like you had a really good time and look forward to part 2 with Paris. :)

Thank you and yes, I did! :)

Thanks and sadly I've never seen a Defender before. I saw some more in Paris and it was like they were teasing me! :(

I may touch up the DSLR ones before posting, idk yet. The R33 made me need new pants! I wish I got to London when all the crazy supercars were around because I was hoping to see things I've never seen in NYC but I guess I came too late. Maybe June/July is the best time to go?

Thanks everyone! I didn't see any nice cars on the street in Paris, so if that's what you're looking for in part 2: there aren't any! :( There's only showroom cars.

After getting off the Eurostar, we only had a few hours left of daylight so we stayed near our hotel for dinner. (It took about 45 min to get to the city) The next day, we went to the Champs-Élysées first. Luckily, Mr. Leadfoot told me about a cool Toyota showroom, so I was on the lookout for that. (All untouched photos in this post!)

We then took the Metro to the Louvre, but it was closed. :toetap: Musée d'Orsay was next on the list, and after finding out that was closed too, we went to Notre-Dame. Unfortunately, Notre-Dame had a big ugly seating area built to commemorate its 850th year of existence, so we couldn't get any cool shots of the church.

After dinner at a very nice cafe nearby, we headed to the Eiffel Tower. We had to wait for about 2 hours to get to the top (by elevator). By the time we walked back down, it was almost 1 AM. The Metro wasn't running anymore, and the buses took forever to arrive. I think we got back to the hotel at 3 AM that day. Or night.

The next morning, we went to the Louvre. It was finally open.

After spending about 5 or 6 hours in the Louvre, including lunch, we headed back to the Champs-Élysées for more shopping. This time, I saw the Citroen and Renault showrooms I missed the first time.

I managed to forget an entire day, and my camera doesn't seem to have it either. My brain is borked!

Yes, it was great! No offense to the people that live in both places and the cities themselves, but I felt that London seemed more alive, especially at night. Paris didn't really have much activity at night, but there are "cooler" buildings to visit and things to do. That's just my opinion, I hope I don't get flamed. :hide: I equally love both though!

^ Here ya go. :p The Citroen/Renault ones are also nearby.

Toyota's got some GT86's, the 2000GT, and some LeMans cars. Citroen just had a C4 Picasso on all of its floors, but a DS3 WRC in the basement. And Renault had the F1 car, Megane V6 Trophy and some other stuff in the back I wasn't interested in. :nods:

No no no, It's dedicated to our best Formula 1 driver, Juan Manuel Fangio 5 times F1 world champion, a milestone only Schumacher broke with 7 titles. As far as I know there are some of his cars of the times when he raced here in Argentina and a Silver Arrow.

I've never been there, but I'd really like to. As I said, it's no further than 400 km from the capital city (at Balcarce), link to the museum's website

Regards!
