Firstly, nice, and thank you for going this unusual way.

I think it is communicational, and when it is done,

maybe more are satisfied with it than if only me would've decided about the source.

Video 2, not good quality, camera shaking hearably when car is getting fast.

Video 3, windows open, everytime when exellerating some traffic sound or other is disturbing.

Video 1, is good quality, nothing disturbing, but weak somehow. Sounds like a videogamesound :-).

Doesn't beat my first suggested video.

But the start is better then my second because no car passing by, allthough it sounds a bit too filthy.

I posted a new second video in first post. I'm working with this one at the moment.

I think tomorrow 30.11.2014 is release.

Listen layed back to the go pro's sounds.

In the highest tones there is a little distortion, that is not belonging to the real sound.

It is simulating a higher sounddetail, wich is only to differ from other products.

A marketing strategy, but no realistic sound capturing.

The picture quality is awesome, but not interesting here.

 

It would be clumsy from me, to take the sound of another car just because they got the same engine.

Remember the transition is different, the exhausts, well that 2 are yet enough to not do it.

Example, a longer exhaust with thinner material, vibrates earlier but in a deeper tone,

while a short one with thicker material vibrates later and in a higher tone.

Some distort also, when they can't take all the vibration, and the tone gets interrupted for zenti or miliseconds.

But it is nice , you got some interesting knowledge.

(Lancia Stratos, same engine as the Ferrari Dino 246) :-) .

You are willingly ignoring, what i wrote in first post.

Don't know what your ambition is to do so.

A work in progress thread is waste of serverspace, if it is crystalclear, that the work will be done.

Yes milli i know there is a wip section.

I willingly put it in the released section,

because it is an exception doing it with the community,

whatfor the lag of interest, and the read only character a wip thread would have,

would not be very constructive.

And again said, it is saving serverdiscspace.

When i know it is going to be done no matter what,

a wip + a release thread for one sound is like double posting in my thinking.

And i f the turboduck staffs were'nt cool enough like they are, thinking it is ok,

getting, that in a wip thread it is not possible for others to post things,

they'd allready have moved this to wip section, don't you think. ?

Maybe we need a new section for community assisted wip modifications now.

Not being serious.

No, i don't think so. Moderators have more things to do than check every thread and see if it's in the correct section.

I'm working with it at the moment.

External sound, and onboard sound version are about to come from this video.

 

I also found 2 other videos, with one giving an extreme onboard version,

and another external variant. Video 2 and following.

Not yet sure if start and idle come from 1st or 3rd video.

Release is sunday tomorrow .

Okay.

I took the sound from the first video of the 13th post.

From 3:22 on, the external view camera sound.

To be exact, uppest sound comes from accelleration at 4:42.

I find it sounds like it should, but you are right.

It is too silent.

 

In my sound program, it is allready loud as it can be without being distorted.

I don't the f..k know, why TDU is making those sounds so silent.

The start and idle seem to be not affected.

I guess it is because my sounds have more detail, or more spectrum of frequencies.

That somehow for less spectrum there is more space volumewise.

 

I plan to do a mod, where all other sounds in the game, that are not engine, are set lower,

so you can turn up the volume in general, on your stereo i mean,

as there are sounds, you can't turn lower in the game menu.

And then my now too silent sounds are loud enough.

 

It is strange, why they decided to make the 3rd person sound so much lower than in cockpit.

There are exclusions, for example the ruf r turbo, there it is the opposite.

 

Also when another player has the same car, it could be a bit louder compared to the own one i find.

 

SO, i've done it louder no matter what, just for you.

Here is a louder version ( not updated in first post ) of the exactly same sound, for usage at your own risk.

It is a bit distorted, but the general impression is more powerful now.

Tell me how you find it.

Look here, where the two green volumedisplays are at.

These are the waves of the normal released version.

It is also sounding VERY loud when playing from the program, but ingame it is silent.

Agree with above sounds great but its too quiet especially in 3rd person camera, its just lacking that aggressiveness
