GPU (Video Cards) : ATI Radeon 9800 256MB VRAM or Nvidia 6600 GT with 256 MB of VRAM.

 

Video Cards with vertex/pixel shaders 2.x and above are recommended.

 

SPU (Sound Cards) : DirectX 9.0 compatible Sound Card.

 

System Memory : 512 MB, 1 GB recommended

 

Hard Disk free space: 8 GB

yup i'm getting about $200 in new parts :)

 

1x -Nvidia GeForce 6600 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4x/8x

1x -PC Chips P23G (V3.0) LGA 775 VIA P4M800 Pro Micro ATX Motherboard

2x -Patriot 512MB 240 Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)

Total $197.96

 

As it stands now :

 

Microsoft Windows XP

Intel Celeron D 2.93ghz

796 MB Mushkin DDR SDRAM 1x 512 1x 256

Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 128MB PCI

Xtreme Sound PCI 24-bit 7.1 surround

 

I'll be keeping the sound card, but i'm switching the vid card to AGP instead of PCI I thought about PCI express but it's a bit more expensive which is why i'm not upgrading untill now anyway.Maybe I will Maybe I wont.

If you only have two memory slots, I would sell the 256 stick, so the 512 is cheaper. I'm not sure why you're getting a new motherboard. I've heard a 6600GT is very, very good. It can run FEAR on all max quality (except Soft Shadows), 1024x768 res at 60+ FPS.

hey can someone tell me how to find all of this info so i can put it on here to tell u guys if TDU will work for me. im starting to think that i might be going too crazy over the fact that the game wont work for me. I think ill be fine even though i dont have all of this crazy graphics cards on my sony vaio desktop with 512mb of ram xp service pack 2. i play counter strike and live for speed and the graphics are amazing soo i think im ok i think can someone please respond back thank you :-)

The easiest way is to run a 'Direct X Diagnostic Tool' by going to Start > Run > type "dxdiag" and press Enter or OK. Yourt Processor and Memory will be shown on the first page then just click the 'Display' tab to get your graphics card info and 'Sound' for your soundcard info.
