Hi, I see 2 issues here:

- TDU gold, I could not test TDUCP on it so it might be a compatibility issue

- which operating system are you on? Because patch hd installer requires mono to be installed, and that's the case on Linux.

- yes, i do have tdu gold. I thought that was the latest updated version of the game?

- windows 10, i have no idea what mono is and dont know anything of Linux

TDU Gold is a special edition including east-european languages and has modified contents over the original. TDUCP has only be developed and tested under genuine EURO/US games with 1.66A patch or megapack

Weird, mono is what enables to run .net apps under Linux, Windows shouldn't require it since .net framework has been embedded. Anyway. You may otherwise get original Patch HD installer which still works from here:

I've had my TDU Gold for more than a decade now. It's only lately when i saw the Megapack that I realized that I don't see 4 Ferraris (Dino 246, 308, Challenge Stradale, 512 TR) and a Lamborghini (Murcielago Roadster) in any showroom. I checked the files and they all have .bnk files, and yet the Ferraris don't show up in any of the European Classics showrooms. No problem with other Megapack cars such as the Countach, 250 GTO, F1 GT, Viper, F40, CLK GTR, etc. I also noticed that I have the Euro folder and  1.66A reflected on the game.

I love the charisma that the old TDU has, so I just want to have those 5 missing cars in the game. Can TDUF work on the Gold Edition so that I can make those 5 vehicles show up?

Or are those 5 cars really not meant to be seen on Gold?

Weird, I also have Gold version and those Ferrari cars in there. But, they don't see the tachometer when driving, i couldn't fix it.

Sad that out of all the cars, I can't live out my virtual Magnum P.I. (or even Miami Vice) fantasy there. Thanks for the assist, will try out if TDUF can bring them out.

So I downloaded TDUF and the corresponding Java, but I encounter 3 errors:

1. on the CMD prompt, i get "...Starting Database Editor...
'.\SetEnv.cmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."

2. I ignore and proceed to the database editor as admin and I get: "Database was not loaded due to errors: ELEV"

3. I ignore and follow instructions to load databse from the BNK folder and I get "Database was not loaded due to errors: (path of the database folder on my Program files(x86) )

I tried searching for the terms used in the errors here and on the github but i could not understand because I don't know coding. Hope anyone could help.

Im absolutely loving this patch so far, even though im a little late to the party. This isnt compatible with platinum is it?

Yeah, absolutely right. See TDUCP as an experiment that modders might lean on for the making of mod packs. There's not much I could add on it right now

Sorry but I can't modify bnk files by encrypting contents for example. The game would not be able to read the files.

Zmodeler does not lock the bnk files, it locks the 3d model resources with a kind of hex flag.

A solution would be to enhance model lock in ZModeler, by encrypting with a user defined password. Has anyone ever asked Oleg to ?

Make sure you didn't mix class G and other categories in same dealer. Class G vehicles are classics and as such do not allow paint nor rim selection. It would affect all vehicles in dealer.

My bad if reposting is not allowed, but maybe this issue could be solved with an upgrade for this patch instead of Platinum mod.

Hello guys, I'm new here.

Some years ago I tried Gold Edition, and I liked the whole ecosystem of the game. I wish to get back into it, but I don't have a wheel nor I don't like to hangout with keyboard.

So, I wondered why PC version doesn't have XInput (I own a wired 360 controller)? I mean, there's a 360 version of TDU. Is that pretty hard to even create a tweak to port that whole support to the PC version, so I couldn't see anyone for years?

I think I'll have to choose TDU2 instead. Out of it, you made a pretty nice work with Platinum.

What?

Xbox pads are well supported in TDU1 on PC. Check your Windows install and updates, because something is not properly configured I guess...

Uhm, what I mean is an entire XInput support:

- Proper Z-axis behavior (simultaneous response between - and + unlike DirectInput)

- Deadzone improvements or advanced settings (at least in binaries). There's practically zero, wich makes car steer by itself when joystics drift.

- Force feedback and Rumbling

- XBOX 360 GUI prompts (optional but convenient)

That's what I'm talking about. I know there is a certain support for controllers, but it's sort of clunky, at least for the 360 one. Just can't enjoy the game like that, and I see it unfair from Eden Games, since they could import that whole XInput optimization from the 360 version.

EDIT: Can't even map triggers to gas and brake 😦

Look. I don't mean to annoy but, owning a 360 controller and having to settle with keyboard (because I can't afford a wheel)...😕 I just dunno how Eden Games, porting this game from XBOX 360, didn't bother to bring the full-blown XInput feature from the same version, if we all know there is XInput support for Windows.

If you can manage to fix that issue on further upgrades, I'm sold! 😄

Support is not clunky imo, it might be basic but it works actually. Anyway it's tied to game engine so I seriously doubt anyone would work on it.

Moreover there are much more interesting things to mod on in TDU, so trying to get better gamepad support would not be a priority.

If you wanna enjoy the game a little bit more, you should buy a used wheel as G25/G27.

What about an external plugin? Something like the ASI Loader script, "GInput" for the GTA classic trilogy?

The advantages for this, is it wouldn't touch the keyboard mappings (allowing a simultaneous input between gamepad and keyboard+mouse), and the triggers (Z-axis + and -) would respond simultaneously letting me brake while throttling (a problem from DirectInput), apart from covering the rest of features from the console support, like vibration (and not just for 360's, but maybe even for DS3).

Please, man. If not in this patch, at least on another mod you or maybe someone else create, inspired by the mentioned script.

Anyway, thanks for your help 😒

I don't recommend to install this patch because as soon as I installed it, my game began to crash. Before I was playing in vanilla 1.66A with the megapack and not once my game crashed. Now, it loves to crash when it's loading (starting a race, buying a house, etc) and sometimes it makes the traffic disappears and then it crashes the game at the next loading.

not everyone has the money for a wheel and the use cases are rare as hell, not everyone is a racing junkie, i have a fair bit of racing games but a controller is enough for 90% of them, and TDU should be in the 90%

So, I don't know ... play the other games or just stick to TDU with the clunky support. So clunky that people have been enjoying TDU with gamepad for 15 years.

Not judging financial resources for people, and not being condescending unlike you, I'm just giving advices. So take them or ignore them.
