Fallout 4 officially announced with trailer! - yes there is a dog

The Bethesda E3 conference is over and boy, was that a good serving of all things Fallout. Check it out below at 1:05:15.

 

The countdown has ended and the trailer has been revealed. See it in all its glory below as the site is getting slaughtered due to the amount of visitors trying to use it.

Is Fallout 4 finally going to be announced? It looks likely seeing as the tweet below was just posted on the official Bethesda Game Studios account and the link leads to a website with a countdown in the imitable style of the series.

Twitter popped this up on my mobile when I was out. It nearly made me walk into a lamp post. :panic:

 

I'm guessing it will just be a teaser trailer like the DOOM trailer was with the full reveal coming at E3. Only 12 days away. :panic:

Graphics aren't much, but still it seems amazing, and the character talks. We had to wait for next-gen consoles so we can have a talking character, also that deathclaw looked mean.

It would be great if you were able to play with your mates, double-teaming a Deathclaw would be a welcome addition for sure.

I really don't care what it looks like just along long as it feels like a Fallout game. I wouldn't actually mind a Fallout/Fallout 2 style game with the same graphics as the older games.

So Boston and Massachusetts it is then. This reveal trailer really surprised me with showing so much footage already before the E3, I only expected to see the helmet of the Brotherhood Of Steel and the Fallout 4 logo.

 

Really looking forward to this game.

Maybe I should play Fallout 3... then I might join in the hype. It does look very interesting though.

It certainly would be no bad thing to grab Fallout 3 or New Vegas and give it a shot to see what it's all about and why the hype is strong for this new one.

I personally recommand Fallout 3 with all its addons. I liked it more than New Vegas.

This is so much more than I expected that I don't know where to start first!

 

You can now build bases using scrap items found throughout the world like in Fallout 3. You must build up the defences to repel raider attacks by placing cannons, guards, barriers and LCD cubes.

 

There are over 50 base weapons in the game that can all be customised by choosing from more than 600 weapon mods available to make in the game.

 

The dog is indeed yours but it is not Dogmeat.

 

I'm sure I've missed parts out but I'll let you watch and find them out.

Also just seen this, however it's from early September but still some good news. Season pass was announced and priced at $30/£25 and the mod creation kit will indeed be coming to the Playstation 4 at some point as well as the PC and Xbone.

 

Fallout 4 – Launch and Beyond

After many long years, Fallout 4 is entering its final months of development. We've put so much into it for so long; we can’t believe it’s almost done. The game will soon be out of our hands and into yours. There’s so much there that we haven’t talked about or spoiled, because we want you to discover it, to make it your own.

 

It's during this stage of development that we start thinking about how we'll support Fallout 4 after launch. We wanted to give you a taste of what we plan on doing:

 

Regular Updates

We'll be doing regular free updates to the game, and like Skyrim, these will come with not just fixes, but new features. For Skyrim we added things like mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams, visual enhancements and more. We’ll work with all of you to figure out what new things you’d love to see added to Fallout 4, whether they are small tweaks or new features.

 

 

Mods & Creation Kit

The most important thing in our games is the freedom you have to create your own experience, and modding is a big part of that. Like all our previous games, we’ve made sure to keep Fallout 4 open and moddable at every step in development. Early next year we’ll release for free the new Creation Kit for the PC. This is the same tool we use in the studio. You'll be able to create your own mods and share them with others. We’re especially excited these same mods will then be coming to Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4.

 

 

Downloadable Content

We've always done a lot of DLC for our games. We love making them and you always ask us for more. To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30. Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass.

 

Thanks again to all of you! The support and excitement you’ve given Fallout 4 has blown us away. It’s energized us even more to do everything we can in these final months to make this our best game yet. We absolutely can't wait for you to play it, and share your adventures with us and each other.
