where and how to edit ground textures

First unpack the ''commonworld.bnk'' to access the textures

Ground textures are in this folder, use Texture Viewver for export DDS texture




With texture viewer exports texture in DDS format. Edit what you want and then save it in the appropriate format (DDS) DTX1 or DTX5


It is important to make a copy of the folder that you are going to modify to be able to cover the texture well, if not only it will look yellowish, then convert it to 2DB with the Texture Converter, with the following steps




And so that the textures look good you can create the normalmap with this page (with tis configuration the normalmap looks good, then edit the PNG texture to DDS to be able to convert it to 2DB)
