Dunno how many of you have already seen this, but I think it's a very creative, out-of-the-box solution that actually makes sense. More police forces around the world should take a leaf out of Lodz's book

Ha, thats actually a decent idea. It will never happen in the UK though. Can't give you an exact reason, it just won't. Anyone seen to be promoting fun whilst in a car over here must be arrested.

Better idea than sending the joy-riders to learn how to be a F1 drivers or whatever equally stupid and unfair crap they did in this country.

That's a very good idea, they should do that over there. But street racers over here drive crap cars anyway. 18 year old's idea of street racing over here is managing to do 70mph on a 60mph road in their 5" exhaust Corsa 1.2 :P.

it is a very good idea with a good concept but it has flaws

a) the UK roads are so busy, they'll never be able to close em without causing hour or two delays

b) people will think they can street race anytime increasing road accidents/incidents and road deaths or serious injuries

Very bad idea... People race for the thrill of racing, and a lot of the adrenaline that is being pumped through your veins while you are racing isn't from the actual racing, but from the fear of being caught doing it...

Same goes for sex :p

But seriously, this would never work in the UK, we are the home of chlamydia after all and we wouldn't accept anything as safe as that XD.

yeah read the article about Lodz (pronounced Woodge ... I used to work with aPolish guy from there)

well Dan Sarf there used to be something similar a few years ago ... there used to be something called the Dry-street cruise at a well known shopping Centre called Lakeside when the shops were shut in the evening ... a place for people to meet up show off their cars ... all in a safe controlled manner ... then they stopped it

it is te best idea 9i have heard well not ever but recently i mean i stoke-on-trent (ftw!!!)

to stop strett racers (not very good ones) they put speed bumps in the road all they did was park on the carpark and said they were speeding its bull ooo road safety think of other road users thy were on a empty carpark in the middle of the night no one was around (apart from homeleess people)
