  1. You asked why you couldn't see the vehicles in the Platinum thread, which i told you that was an issue with bigbnk not being activated. You then proceeded and told me, via PM, that you have it activated. I told you to check if Project Paradise is working at all. You apparently didn't get that, and couldn't wait to get a reply, and sent me another one, demanding a reply, like that's my duty. I told you to re-download Project Paradise and re-install it, read the READ ME files that comes with it and said that yes, i can't read it for you. Which is a fact. Then here, you comfirmed that you deleted d3d9.dll, and that's why, exactly why you couldn't see the vehicles. Because your Project Paradise is not working, therefore, bigbnk is not working aswell. So no, without d3d9.dll your bigbnk is NOT enabled, because it is NOT working at all. What you want, is someone to tell you what to do. Because i really doubt you've read all the 96 pages of this thread. But here we go again. Reinstall a TDU Copy. Copy the files of TDU Platinum over the game folder. Download Project Paradise, copy the files inside the Test Drive Unlimited folder. Run Project Paradise Laucher.exe as admin, make sure to select your TestDriveUnlimited.exe in the launcher, mark check on bigbnk. P.S. Make sure you are NOT running these .exes files with ANY compability mode. Edit: And note that you could have made a post here all along and get help from different people, from the whole forum at any timezone, instead of send me a PM, and get only a reply from me, when i actually can. But yeah, i am rude. I can live with that.

  2. Are you still there ? If not, I just reply for every people reading the forums. COMB@T_$HOTGUN made an awesome detailed tutorial a few years ago. Link is still working ! One simple guy who was just really motivated for converting car models into TDU (Pator5) learned a lot from these tutorials and managed to release some great mods like the Ferraris 250 GT Lusso and California. Anyone who have time to spend, lots of motivation and patience can make a car. And if someone is starting something but need support, there is my thread for that where we support each other:

  3. Okay, time to bring back this topic. I've seen many people in the Platinium thread dying to know how to add a car. A few tutorial already exist. The one from civicmanvtec where I learned how to do add cars my self. Credits to him. One from JPTH. And mine who's got a video and is okay clear but have 2 major problems to cause the game to have conflicts with the original Atari car. And with the lastest versions of TDUF Database Editor, you can add a car so much more quickly, safely and efficiently. Plus it's got a dedicated guide: But for today's standard, it's in my opinion the best to understand the basics of adding cars into the game. Anyway, enough rambling. This tutorial will be completely useless and pointless on this side of the forum soon cause I've started to work on the wiki guide. You should definitely check it out ! I spent a couple of hours to make it so I'll be please to hear from you It's not finished. But at least you'll get all the basics knowledge. And if you dying to try add a car soon and do some experiments, you can watch the video on the first page of this thread but please ignore the copy-paste section of TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex cause this is where all the mistakes happen. Refer directly to the wiki. Also remember that this is the old manual painfully long method. TDUF is much faster, if you want fast, go to Djey's thread. I'll keep you updated on the progress of the wiki here. Again feel free to ask me any questions. I'll try to answer. Or my colleagues if they happy to help.

  5. Hey, i tried it, but i does not work, the window won't get bigger wenn i change the resolution ingame, the windo stays at 1280*720, the resolution in the window is getting smaller. Hard to explain. I have no issues with other games Fullscreen results in a black screen Edit: It was vsync! I forced it in the Nvidia driver, the launcher probably didn't liked that... Everything is working now!

    The School of Modding

the 2dm was never explored to the point where you could modify it standalone. speeders world editor could make it readable and modify it to an extend, but nothing grounbreaking could be made with it. i once tried to edit the file to add new paint colors (from colors.2db in bnk/vehicules), it created a new material but there is no way to make it work in a precise way so the game can read it back, it's basically gibberish. i always hoped someone could decrypt the files so we can modify it properly, but I belive it will end like the xmb sound files, where the result just wouldnt be worth the research and effort put into decrypting it.
