  1. Just wondering why you'd need to remove some cars. Although that is technically possible, it's a complicated task which demands to remove any reference to the said cars in every part of the database... or prepare to apocalypse Just replacing car files and editing vehicle specs is a safer way to get different vehicles. And about other parts of the database, only the mod pack creator has the full knowledge of all references. Tools haven't been made for this kind of tasks. I mean, the tools source code is available, but someone knowing how to code has to lean 'a bit' towards it before handling such edge cases.

  2. Some small update. Did the majority of the work behind the scenes on the scripts. Visual updates are mainly: Wheel UI is in the works. Rims can now be changed outside of debug tools And, arguably one of the most important things, functions to change paint color are now working. Finally I can preview the car in anything else than pure white: Not much, but the paint thing is a major update. Will post more updates as soon as there are any.

  5. It is not "Necessary", it is recommended though. What i suggest is that you take the Alfa GT out, and save the game. Then you install the mod. That way when you load up the profile, it won't risk to crash as soon as it loads up. Now, the risk of that some cars that you had previously don't work correctly, is there. So, do it at your own risk. Edit: Also, if you really don't want to lose your vehicles, make a backup of the profiles, so you can pop them back in case you want to play original TDU again. Like, 2 different TDU installations in different folders...

  6. Well I blinked and missed this bit... I've played and streamed TDU via project paradise a couple of times using my old profile in the last few months. Not really had much time for games recently until I saw the YT video... Sat there with my chin on my desk for a while and tonight finally did the download. So impressed, utterly gobsmacked, Milli and the whole team involved with keeping this alive. Thought i'd log in and say this before I start to play with the game files. That may have to wait as it's nearly 1am here in the UK. Once again you have my thanks, who would have thought this was possible after Atari killed the servers all those years ago. To Ryzza, Pogo, Duke and all the sunday night cruisers, I'm hopeful to see you all once again on Oahu. Time to go and recreate some of those hardcore stunts we all used to love. EDIT... I just looked at my user profile... 9 years since I signed up for TDUC OMG TDU first played in 2007, Ace project done and reading through the install notes it appears I have to sell all 165 cars Is this still required or is there a work around which will allow me to keep all my current assets?

  7. v1.03 is up. Replaces the SL65 Black Series sound, with a fresh mod from Zebukas.

  8. I use the Hawaiian Bliss v4.0 mod which adds HD textures from TDU2, as well as adds a day and night cycle. You might need to adjust your gama though when it is night so you can be sure to see everything as it does make it quite dark. It works perfectly on top of this mod.

  9. When installing Project Paradise, be sure to deactivate any realtime antivirus function. In my case it detected the d3d9 files as a virus and immediatly deleted them. You can go to the quarantine area in your antivirus software, make an exclusion for them, and restore them. Maybe this helps.

  10. 1. Check the file proper rites for both the Project Paradise Launcher and TestDriveUnlimited executables, make sure no compatibility modes are set. 2. Make sure to exclude or use CustomD3D support in RTSS/MSI Afterburner if you're using them, same goes for other overlay programs. I had the same issue and this is what fixed it.

  11. Hey everyone - just a quick note of thanks to you all for just being nice on the forums and not causing too much grief with discussing the various mods and technical difficulties. It must be all those chilled Hawaiian vibes floating around here. (old shots) You can share your TDU1 pics in the Gallery: ]
