These days I just don't look at the price of new games, I'm patient enough to wait for the price to drop 😂
I'm looking the look of the themed playlists, more of a focused linear progression root compared to Forza's 'here's 100 races, do them in whatever order you fancy with whatever car you like' style. It's such a boring grind.

Anyone playing the "closed beta" this weekend?

I love the 'weapon wheel' for controlling windows, roof, lights, etc.. that's great to see. Would like to see more about buying and customising your car. The fact that in TDU you could go to a dealership and choose your spec was brilliant, that feeling of ownership and uniqueness is critical to the TDU feel.
The physics look a bit sketchy, super grippy NFS style.. but if it feels nice that will be fine.

Physics are arcade, not quite as refined as FH5, but certainly good enough for me to enjoy on a gamepad. Much better than TC2.  I heard others say that offroading and landing large jumps needed a little work. I guess we'll find out more during the next closed beta later this month.

I'm surprised there's not more interest here, this looks much closer to a spiritual successor to TDU than TC 1 and 2 were. The game looks great, a smaller more detailed map and better physics, this should be a serious competitor for Forza Horizon.

(Don't do it! BS is talking BS :p) Well logically TDU shouldn't run on Win10 due to the whole securom thing, how anyone has got it to work I don't know. I (and others) tried everything we could without luck. Cracks, manual driver install, everything!

Pretty much guaranteed to work on Windows 7, whereas for most of us it doesn't run at all on Windows 10! So yeah I'd say 7 :lol:

Get rid of the lines in the target exe, you shouldn't need them now that there's a launcher. Try then and see if it works. You don't need bigbnks for fuel to work, just check the enable fuel in the launcher and you should see the fuel gauge appear in game :)

Yeah you just drop the dll and exe file into the TDU directory and open the exe. You choose fuel, all manual etc on/off in the launcher.

Great job, can't wait to try out the new version :) Is there any chance of getting icons on the map for the gas stations? If not I'll just have to go hunting and bookmark some :lol:

Find your TDU shortcut, right click then go to properties. You'll see "target" which points to the testdriveunlimited.exe. Just add "-fuel" to the end of that. :)

Once opened you'll be able to see "Target", which points to your TDU.exe. It'll say something like "C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\TestDriveUnlimited.exe".
 

 
At the end of that, after the quote mark, you just need to add your command line parameters like displayed above. I have added -fuel for working fuel gauge and -allmanual so that all vehicles use the H-Shifter on my G27. You can add any of the following:
 
-allmanual : all vehicles use h-shifter
-fuel : enables working fuel gauge
-hd : graphics tweaks for high-end computer
-hidewheel : hides the steering wheel and avatar
-sd : less intensive graphics tweaks
-vsync : enables vsync (set to 60fps)
 
And don't forget to click --> Apply <--

Going from X360 and it's vacuum sounds to PC and sound mods was a massive step up..
 
However to be fair to the Eden devs, some cars sounded great, imo. Like the Lambo's, Murcielago specifically :nods:

I think they've already said it's a server-side setting, and currently is set to a specific time and set to advance in time slowly. Not sure if it's changeable *shrug*

Just played TDU multiplayer for the first time in 2 years, it was freaking awesome. Great job guys, and Milli for her fuel gauges :nods:
 
Now we just need to organise a proper cruise of Tduckers, the only person I knew online today was Comb@t :lol:

Hopefully should be getting the keys to my first house (one on the left) in the next week or two.

Nothing special, but I'm forever single and with my income it's the best I can do for now. Two parking spaces for the car to leak differential oil on to though, so that's nice.
