what exactly are you trying to do with your player save files anyway? what are you trying to access? if we know we might be able to help you out better, the more info about the problem the better right. You might be going about something the wrong way. Meaning whatever it is you are trying to achieve, that you know you need a hex editor for on the xbox files, you may not need to do it that way on pc, there is often several ways to achieve the same result.

Hey guys.. This is my first TDU2 mod so i thought id start with an easy one, audio files. I decided to have a crack at making a new gps voice pack. I was bored of the slightly americanised gps voice. so i made an english accent voice pack. Lol i keep expecting her to refer to me as 007, she sounds very "Miss Money Penny" Hope you like it. i do :D click HERE for the link..

Try reading the forum better, it is explained here already. you just need to look a little bit.

This whole modding section is for PC mods not Xbox mods. I wouldn't expect much help in here.

Your welcome, i know it might have sounded like i was having a bit of a bash at you guys, that wasn't intended by any means, i just kinda explain things in quite a frank and honest way. Yeah i was using the latest physics file, i redownloaded it just in case i grabbed the older one the first time. But i hadn't, it felt the same in game. The biggest difference you notice is in something like the nissan gtr or the Merc SL63 or anything thats quite grippy really. With the normal physics file you could approach a T junction at 60-80mph, swing in, pop the handbrake for a split second and as long as you can counter steer you can slide/drift around it fine. With the modded physics file you cant even do that at 50mph, it WILL just spin out on you.. Anyway, keep up the good work. One day we will have tdu2 as unlocked and moddable as tdu1 is. Then the game will get REALLY interesting.

I had a try with the new physics file last night ( i dont have the game unpacked so i can't try the rest yet ) and i have to say i wasn't really that impressed :sulk: I tested using the zonda roadster, gumpert apollo sport and the mercedes clk 63. I drive with hardcore mode so i know it wasnt any aids that interfered. The majority of the driving felt exactly the same... i was half expecting the brakes to be a lot weaker but still if i used more than about 1/3rd brake pedal i still got wheel lock up. But by far the worst problem is the handbrake, guys that shouldn't have been messed with like that, its horrible. With the original physics file you could give the handbrake a quick tap and it would make the back end step out, or you could hold it for about half a second and would cause full wheel lock. Now, if you just look at the handbrake funny it spins out on you, its like the handbrake button now launches an anchor out the back of the car. Its not even a wide slide or anything like that, it spin almost on the spot. My suggestions would be, Firstly... Whatever you did to the handbrake, undo it, the handbrake was fine before. What ever you did to the normal brakes do more of it or look how to tweak them a little better if possible, because i honestly didn't notice much difference. The world physics themselves seemed fine, not that much difference from the original file. Its really just the brakes that Must be looked at, the rest meh! maybe give it a little more of a tweak. In all honesty. i tried the physics for about an hour, got fed up with them, reverted back to the original physics and managed to do a perfect drift out of a T junction. Race up to the junction at about 80mph, swing it left, tap the handbrake, punch the throttle and opposite lock, then feather the throttle till its straight.. It went round perfectly. So please... Have another look at the physics file, its really not right yet, id go as far as to say its problematic. As i said i haven't been able to try the fixes you did in the patch, but from what ive read of them they look great. Keep up the hard work guys n girls.

you will if you play at night time.

ahhh ok. yeah i think i did miss understood what you meant.

Your very welcome guys. Yeah there are a few cars where there unpaintable parts cannot have anything done to them via texmod. Some templates have more than 1 4x4 paint square, the Ferrari 430 scuderia spider has i think 6 4x4 paint squares, to control several different unpaintable parts ( including the hood stripe ) and the Ariel Atom 500 has no template at all, nothing on it is editable in the paintshop, even though the body work is the same as the atom 300. Lots of odd things to look into. If i find anything odd in a template i usually post about it in the template thread, such as the ferrari 430, i supplied pics to show which paint squares controlled what. And yeah it took me working 3-4 hours a night for about a week to snag all the templates. I think its worth it though, it makes creating full body skins a hell of a lot easier. BTW if you happen to find a template ive done that has unpaintable parts and i havn't included a 4x4 paint square let me know in the thread and ill alter the template accordingly. im sure there are a couple i have missed, but its like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

From that..I take it you do not see why most of your games stopped working.. Regardless what drive you install games or programs onto, weather it be the OS drive, a second internal ,or even a network drive. When you install ANY program on your pc it has to store SOME information about it in your OS. So even if you installed a game to E drive, it will still need to install some things, like the registry entries and it creates start menu items, install game fonts, updates direct X, adds uninstallers for the game and such within windows. Also usually things like serial numbers for apps or CD keys for games are stored within windows as well. When you wiped your os drive you removed all that information, yes the main games data such as music and levels and game models and stuff were still secure coz, they were on a different drive, but the main info about how the game should load was wiped.. Thats why your games suddenly dont know how to work.. Installing games on the same drive as the OS or not makes no difference when your OS drive gets wiped, when that happens MOST things will refuse to work. The reason you install games and apps to OTHER drives is so the majority of that programs files are not intruding on the system drive ( not just because of UAC either) the more you install onto your OS drive the slower your OS will become, as it has more data to try and climb through to get to the part it actually needs. The basic pc rule of thumb has always been Keep your OS drive as empty as possible. I currently have a 60gb OS drive.. i only use 15.6gb ( for windows and a few extra files like added fonts and my documents) and ive had the same pc setup for 2 years now. Admittedly i do have 3 other internal hard drives which total over 2 TB. so i keep everything on those and keep my C drive nice and clean. :)

ok NOW i get what you mean. and the answer is still YES, well Sometimes.. Its controlled by the car skin file. See my sig, it has links for blank templates for every car in the game, some cars that have unpaintable parts will have a little 4x4 pixel coloured square somewhere on the template. That little square is what controls what colour paint those unpaintable parts will be.. Also sometimes you just cannot paint certain parts of cars from within the paintshop, you just cant get the right angle to do it, for example trying to paint the underside of a spoiler. but with a template you can see both sides of th spoiler at once. Then again some cars you cannot paint those unpaintable parts, because they use a different texture and are not part of the cars skin file Sounds more confusing than it is. As soon as you see a template with one of those paint squares on you will understand.. But the basic idea is.. Some templates have a little paint square. That paint square controls the paint colour of unpaintable parts on that car. If it doesn't have that little paint square on the template you cannot change the colour on those parts..

Realistic Automatic Transmission in Tdu 2

you have to scan for it. for example with top speed. you pick a car that can do 150mph so you scan for 150 you then pick a car that does 185 so you scan for 185 that will give you some "codes" as you call them ( they are actually memory addresses), but many so you carry on scanning. you pick another car that can do ...130 so you scan for that. each time you scan it reduces the amount of " codes" you see. when you think you have found the one you want, you change the numbers to get the effect you want. Thats how it works and the reason he cannot give you codes is because thats HIS memory addresses YOURS will be different, everyones memory addresses are different, in fact sometimes the memory addresses will be different each time you load the game on the same computer The simple fact of the matter is. Some people are good at doing this sort of thing and some arent. There is one guy who has made a little program that tunes all cars to Level 50 YES! 50.. although you can only officially tune your car to level 4. Most of the great hacks for this game seem to come from Russian guys ( i guess they have a lot of time to play ) and they like to keep this sort of thing to themselves, but show that these things are possible if you work hard enough at it. So rather than complaining . why not get cheat engine, read their web page on how to use the cheat engine and have a try. You CANNOT break the game, its impossible. remember a trainer only runs in memory it doesn't alter any files. so if you do something wrong and it starts acting screwy, just quit the game, reload the game and then everything will be back to normal. Now go experiment. -
Restarting the game makes no difference to the weather at all... to find out when it will and wont rain you need to look at the weather channel on the TV at home. If it says it will rain from 12pm untill 4pm, no matter how many times you restart IT WILL rain during that time... The only reason it stopped raining after the 5th time is because you had wasted enough time that it stopped raining on its own. what you think is happening would be like saying " i hate nigh time, i had to restart 5 times until it was daytime" which is not correct, you just managed to waste enough time until it got to morning again and it became daytime on its own. Everyone gets the same weather and the same time of day. if its raining at 8am for you its also raining at 8 am for me and nothing you do will change that. unless you mod the game.

YES there is. in fact there are at least 3 different ways you could do it... one way does involve extracting all the game archives, so you dont wanna do that. the second is by using a premade Paintshop unlocker ( already exists ) or 3 you can use a normal paintable car and memory hack it so you change it into the car you want. for example you buy a golf ( paintable) and you memory swap it for a nissan gtr, you then have a nissan that still has the name Golf and all the golfs instructions like paintable, stickerable and upgradable . you then go to the paint shop and paint/sticker it. then quit and reload the game, which turns your fake nissan into a real nissan (no longer able to paint it ) If you want to have this explained in much better detail go to tdumods.com we have tutorials on all aspects of painting and stickering ALL cars even the DLC cars. Here is a video i did for that website showing me painting the Shelby GT500 DLC car.... Although in this video i am applying a full body skin to a car the principle is exactly the same

Aint downloading anything untill i know EXACTLY what it is. what car is it? a camaro or what? what is in the rar file? a 3d model, a bunch of images ? what ?? If you expect people to look at zip/rar files at least tell us exactly what is in it. For all we know it could be a rar full of virus and malware...

Realistic Automatic Transmission in Tdu 2
Nobby76 replied to FerrariDriver12's topic in TDU2 - Support
cheat engine is like a trainer maker for Many games, if you know how trainers work then you should be able to figure out how to make this work. and when he said google for it. he probably meant google for the cheat engine site, as that explains how to use the cheat engine program -
i think i might know what happened. Ghost Racer where is your game installed.. If the game is installed in C/program files/... Or anywhere else on your C drive..... Then THAT is why UAC is acting up. Almost anything that happens on your C drive ( the same drive as your OS ) will run up against UAC. its a simple fact that the OS tries to protect itself. THIS is standard knowledge since VISTA, If you can help it you should not install things to the same drive as your OS. i install everything to either my D drive or my E drive and i NEVER have problems with UAC or any other aspect if windows protecting itself. If you only have a C drive then expect your OS to try and protect itself when you put other things on it.. thats what UAC is for ;)

If you are still looking for testers i would be glad to help, i currently use a Logitech G25 wheel and i am sick and tired of the wheel lock under braking problem. it would be nice if we could even out the pedals totally. what i mean is you only need to tap the clutch a tiny bit to be able to change gear (which clearly isnt real) you only need to lean on the brake slightly and the wheels lock up. I actually thought that was issues with the game not using controllers properly, but it seems you have found its all to do with the physics of the cars. So i would Very much like to help get that removed. If you still want testers then let me know, ill be up for that!

Tutorial: How to add HQ texture skin/sticker on your car?
Nobby76 replied to tomsolo's topic in TDU2 - Support
hehehe You linked to my set of templates ( the ones on tdumods.com ) It took me ages to get all those together, good to see they are being used for something cool, i feel very special now.. :D -
I think what would be better is if we could do like GTA had. A mod that lets you sync the game clock to your pc clock. So if its 8pm in the real world its 8pm in the game as well. Or find a way to slow down the game clock. It currently runs at 4-5 seconds real time = 1 minute game time. That means the game clock is running at nearly 200 times faster than real world time.

Possible to listen to own music in the game?
Nobby76 replied to Grey_Wolf_Bozkurt's topic in Tools / Others Mod
OK just to clarify. What Grey Wolf Bozkurt said in his First post is VERY wrong, those instructions ARE for TDU1 not TDU2 What Panikos said is only partly correct.. Yes you do need to unpack the game and replace the songs in the Sounds/Radio/Music folder ( with EXACTLY the same filenames ) But what he failed to tell you ( and the reason your new songs do not work ) is they must be in EXACTLY the same format . I don't just mean they need to be WAV files, they need to be the same kind of WAV files. There are loads of different kinds of wav files which can all have many different bit rates and frequency settings ( such as PCM 4400hz Stereo 32bit, or ADPCM 3200hz mono 16bit) it needs to be the same settings as the original files used. If you choose mono instead of stereo or you have a different frequency 4400hz or 3200hz when it is supposed to be something else or you save it as PMC and it supposed to be ADPCM ( or vice versa ) then No the songs will not work. they MUST be exactly the same type of WAV file. I know there is a tutorial SOMEWHERE on this site explaining exactly what you need to do, look for it... If you do ANYTHING other than what it tells you, IT WILL NOT WORK. Here is the the link to the tutorial, if this does not work then it means you have done something wrong... LINK ..- 6 replies

Awsome stuff. Thanks for posting that, will make deciding which radio station to use for each song a lot easier now. Dont want to go putting rock songs on the dance station and vice versa. + rep for you good sir.
-
Very nice indeed. Just one question.. Is there a way to know which radio station has which songs? Other than sitting in the game and going through each song in turn. The reason i ask is. if you have 2 radio stations, id like to make one a rock based radio station and one a more dancy kind of station. So knowing what songs go where would be a big help.
-
WTF ??? only YOU would know if you unpacked the game or not. The game doesn't unpack itself, silly. Actually i can tell you, NO your game is NOT unpacked.
