  1. I replaced the TVR T440R with the coupe, and the F430 Spider for the Cabrio, and finally settled on the 512TR IK set, it's got good hand position on the steering wheel, and an almost perfect leaned back seating position.
  2. I don't think the cabrio is 1.1 because it still has a huge shadow bug, huge amounts of daylight can be seen through the bottom of the car in multiple places. Best camera I've found so far is the Koenigsegg CC8, the steering wheel is almost perfectly centered and the hood view is perfect. Best IK is either the Corvette C6, or the Ruf RGT, I'm still testing others trying to find an IK that puts the driver into a proper leaned back seating position instead of leaning forward.
  3. It's WAY too deep and bassy, it sounds like a V8 and not a small L4.
  4. The automatic poly reducers, especially the ones in Max, don't really work all that great most of the time because they use the same reduction percentage on every area of the models. This is not good when it comes to rounded areas..... I always preferred to do it manually by pinching and welding verts in 3ds, the smooth areas stay smooth, the round areas stay round, and all is well. And that polycount of 327,000 could be easily reduced after seeing those other pictures of it, it would be a safe bet that much of that number is in those fully modeled tires as well as the fully modeled headlights and taillights. I tried fully modeling a tire once just to see how hard it was......I broke 75,000 polys with only half a tire using 64 sides as the base for the tread...... If I remember right, TDU's tires are only 20 sided and are flat textured, not fully modeled. That's an easy poly reduction right there.
  5. Just go to the patchs folder, you'll find the files to install the cars manually.
  6. I've seen dozens upon dozens of "paid for" models get released as free mods over the years, and at the same time I've seen people take free models and charge money for them. There is no pattern one way or the other. If dredgy was going to start charging for the things he makes, he'd have done it by now with the Physics Editor. If this was going to be a private mod, this topic wouldn't be here.
  7. The only way it would be a paid mod is if FenixZ made it, he's the only one greedy enough to charge money for mods he didn't have any part in creating. He's done it with NFS models, GTA-SA models, wherever he can import a car from, he'll steal it and charge money for it.
  8. Maybe you should install TDU and check the car, because the texture used on the dash panel is used just about everywhere inside the car, it's on the doors, the floors, the footwells, and even the shifter console. There is no leather texture near the shifter at all, just a continuous monotonous CF pattern.
  9. The sound in that Suzuka battle is awesome, the F-50 sounds almost tame from the inside, but the sound on the outside is a screaming angry Formula 1 V-12.
  10. The exterior is great, but the rear rim is slightly off-center, and the interior needs a complete overhaul. The smoothing needs to be redone from the ground up, and it needs new textures. Every pic I've found of the real F-50 interior does NOT have the same carbon fiber weave in every location, it uses different weaves for different places and it's not all CF either. In a real F-50 the center console (shifter location) is leather covered, it's not CF in any pic I could find. The floors and surrounding areas around the driver and passenger's feet are carpeted, not CF, and some F-50's also include removable carpets with the F-50 logo stitched in red carpet surrounded by black. The door panels use a different CF weave than the dash panel, that's also a different color, it's much darker with a "smoke colored" clearcoat over the CF. Those "foot panel" things (whatever they're called) in the doors need to have smaller circles, they're about double the size they really should be.
  11. This sounds great as a replacement for the Audi R8 V10, but there's a very noticeable loop in the sound between 6500 and 7500 RPM.
  12. We're not living in the dark ages of TDU modding anymore, we can now modify the cameras, IK sets, ride heights, gearing, pretty much everything to do with putting the mods where ever we want to, even going so far as to make the crappiest cars in the game equivalent to the best, there's no reason to deliberately try to block bodyswapping anymore. And I'm not DEMANDING anything, you Tool Fanboys need to learn that, he's Human, not a God, stop worshiping him.
  13. He's never going to do that, he's going to try to control what people do as much as he possibly can, and that includes trying to force you to use the installers as much as possible......
  14. Wow, so now it only counts if it was released on TDUC??? Hypocrisy Much??? Where it was released DOESN'T MATTER, it was publicly released, not a private mod.
  15. Tool, you just got all over Minime's case about doing a car someone else already did, now you're doing it AGAIN by doing the Gumpert that TDUZoqqer already did..... Make up your mind man, you can't operate both ways.....
  16. There's a really bad hitch in the sound loop above 5500rpm, the sound completely stops, then starts over again in the next loop.
  17. Realistically, 99% of the vehicles that would need a high camera aren't going to be super handlers to begin with, they're going to be SUV's and pickup trucks at standard ride heights, not exactly known for their handling. Slammed lowrider trucks could always be made to fit the Chevy SSR or Holden Effigy camera slots.
  18. That happens because you put the Supra on a car that produces a BTRQ bug. The only way to fix this is to extract the original BTRQ file from the car slot you put it on, and put that original file into the Supra mod file. Do that with DJey's TDU Modding Tools.
  19. Isn't there an F50 in one of the NFS Shift DLC packs??? I saw the F50-GT in one of the videos.
  20. Did you even bother to read what I said??? I wasn't bodyswapping, I installed the car MANUALLY......... You must have JUST started into TDU modding, because mods were around for a very long time before these stupid installers came into existence, and none of those things were ever a problem as long as the modder made the car PROPERLY and didn't release an incomplete car.
  21. It still is impossible. All Tool did was use a standard spinning dial gauge needle, and instead of a needle, he enlarged it to a pie shape, then put it BEHIND the dash, which has holes in it. As the "needle" moves it looks like the LED's are lighting up, but it's just the holes filling up. It's a nice illusion but it could be made to look better by moving the pivot point for the needle down and to the right to match the center-point of the arc of the holes in the dash. That way when the holes fill up, they'll fill properly instead of at an angle.
  22. Because I'm probably the one of the few people here who has well over 110 car mods installed into this game, and I DISAGREE with someone else telling me where I should and should not install these mods to, and I especially DISAGREE with someone telling me HOW I should or should not install these cars, especially when the installers are making changes I don't want, changes which rightfully they shouldn't be making. The car installer should ONLY install the car and the rims, and maybe if they're included, the gauges and sounds, that's it. The physics installer should take care of everything else, the car name, the rim+tire sizes, the Cam+IK set, the suspension and steering settings, the ride height, the transmission settings, etc etc etc etc. If those things are kept separated, then no game crashes will occur because one installer won't be looking for something the other installer put in. Simple Linear Logic. It also doesn't help that Tool is using a Beta version of the physics and modding tools that the public doesn't have access to, and that's part of the game crashes, the tools are making changes to the game that cause it to crash, and that's NOT MY PROBLEM, it's Tools problem because he was the one who set up the installers. Typical Reaper, none of the bugs in ANY of these mods are the problems of the mod creators.......after all they were only the ones who MADE the mods in the first place..... Installing a car manually is now the wrong way??? Who are you to decide that Reaper when this isn't even your mod??? Neither you or Tool decides where I should install a car to, and you DON'T decide HOW I install it either, it's MY game, not yours, end of discussion.
  23. There you go assuming that you know what I did and didn't do, and as usual, you're wrong. I actually DID put the car into the SLK 55 slot, I just did it MANUALLY because I didn't want the car name changed, I didn't want the motor changed, I didn't want anything else changed but the CAR itself, which is the only thing that should be installed with these installers. All the rest should be left to the physics installer and JUST the physics installer. You shouldn't be changing physics elements with the CAR installer, that should just install the CAR and the RIMS, and that's it. The name changes, the motor changes, and even the rim and tire size changes, those should all be limited to the physics installer, that way it won't crash the game when the two installers aren't combined. I shouldn't have to fix something that YOU made, you're the modder, you're the one who should be releasing things that DON'T crash people's games under any circumstances, and if there is a game crashing bug found, it's YOU who should be working on fixing it.
  24. I don't praise bugs, especially when they're very deliberate, and very much avoidable by not using beta versions of programs the public doesn't have access to......
  25. Creating physics installers that crash the game when the car auto-installer isn't used needs to stop. The physics should work regardless of how the car itself was installed.
