  1. That "black stuff" as you guys put it, is a chin spoiler, it's there for DOWNFORCE, after all, it's a FULL RACE CAR. Without that chin spoiler, that front bumper looks BORING, it looks no better than a stock front bumper.
  2. This may not be among your requested sounds, but the mod is done and it desperately needs a proper sound...... Skyline 2000 "Hakosuka" GTR at Fuji Speedway.... Incar starts at 1:54 Since you're good with Ferrari screamers, and the Hakosuka is also a screamer, this should be a good project for you. I would even be happy with a straight conversion of the GT Legends or Forza 3 sounds if someone could find a way to convert them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE2TbiCdqGo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJcqUPTjmQE
  3. Change your Camera and IK to the Audi A6 and you'll get a perfectly centered steering wheel for the driver's view, and a hood view that's not halfway through the windshield.
  4. How about putting the stock version on a non-Russian site that people can download from without being forced to install tons of spyware.....
  5. Is there a way to add spots in the dealerships??? Example.....the Jaguar dealership only has 3 spots where you can actually buy a car, but it's the same kind of building as the Aston Martin dealership, which has more open slots to buy cars from. Edit: I found a 4th spot in the Jag dealership, it's in the far back corner and sits in slot #9. Also, with the Audi dealership, there's 5 spots across the back, and room for 4 more up front, but only 3 of those front spots work, the 4th always remains empty. Is there any way to change which slots are open to buy cars from and which slots just display an existing car in a different color?
  6. That's what I'm talking about, not even the readmes or topics explain where the cars get moved to, and they really should. I wouldn't have a problem with the car installers of all they installed was the cars and rims and left the rest up to the physics installers, but too many of them take things too far, they change too much and what's worse, they don't give any choice as to where the car is going, and I seriously disagree with that, especially since too many of the installers keep going back over the same car slots multiple times. There's 140+ vehicles in this game, there's no logical reason to keep going back over the same 10 slots over and over again.
  7. This is another reason why the installers can be a bad thing, some of them switch the dealership locations without telling you where the car is going to end up. If you haven't found all the dealerships yet, time to get driving, go for that 100% roads discovered credit thing.
  8. Use the CLK 55 Camera and IK and the steering wheel position is fine. You can fix that one yourself using either TDUPE or DJey's Modding Tools.
  9. http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=10977 Bomex and Veilside kits, but the Veilside kit is incomplete, he used the wrong spoiler.
  10. That was it, I had the old Bugatti on the Mercedes Gullwing slot in the dearship, with a rarity of 0.75. I changed it to 1 and I can select rims & paint again for all the cars.
  11. There's a few problems with choosing a centered camera, you won't see the driver's head, and with most cars, it's going to screw up the Hood view, and you might not be able to see over the steering wheel because it's a very low camera, and it's nowhere near as far back as the camera in those screenshots.
  12. A question about moving cars to different dealerships.... When I move cars into some of the "Classics" dealerships, I'm no longer allowed to choose the paint color or rims for the car. I know this can be changed because I've seen it done with at least one of the installers, it took the abilities AWAY instead of giving them. Is there a way to put that ability back on the whole dealership???
  13. Just a hint to eliminate outside sounds, turn the traffic off before you make the video, that way the only engine sounds you'll hear are from your own car.
  14. This is a great sound for a stock or slightly tuned Enzo, but the FXX is much more high pitched, a real "screamer" at high revs, especially from outside the car. It sounds like a Formula 1 engine. The FXX is much like the F50 in the way it sounds almost muffled and sedate inside the car, but screams like a banshee outside the car. It's a great sound for the Enzo, you've got a real talent for the Ferrari sounds, it just needs a bit more "scream" to be a great FXX sound.
  15. I swear this is the only modding community where one or two modders chase all the rest off and make it seem like a bad thing to remake a car someone else already did. This needs to STOP and stop fast. You don't see this kind of crap in San Andreas modding, they even hold contests to see who can do the best version of a specific model and have FUN while they're doing it. There's no animosity between them and they don't hold all their "learned tricks" private either, they release them so the community as a whole can get better...... This is what happens when CONVERTERS are mistaken for modelers and given false praise for doing things they didn't do.......they get big heads and start to think that they're the only ones who should be allowed to do it....... Plus, using TDU-2 as an excuse is getting old, there is no solid release date set yet, and the TBA dates given so far range from Q2 of 2010 to Q4 of 2010, which means there's up to 9 more months of TDU modding left to go.
  16. A big block V8 and an Inline 6 sound nothing alike no matter how loud you make the turbo sound......
  17. Saladine hasn't been around in a very long time and it's doubtful he'll ever come back.
  18. Those kinds of gauges don't work in TDU.
  19. Found a bug with the name changing and logo displays. I changed the manufacturer of a car to Lancia, and on the main map, the Lancia logo shows up on the dealership.....BUT.....once you get inside the dealership, it's showing the Acura logo. I don't have any custom icon pack installed, just the megapack and 1.67d patch.
  20. There's a group of mods missing from the list, the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI plus the whole set of bodykit versions made around it.
  21. There's a problem with making physics for this car in TDU..... Even if you enter all the numbers to match the real car, the weight, the gear ratios, drag coefficient, horsepower, torque, top speed, it goes WAY too fast in TDU. Even when I limited the top speed to 407kmh (as listed on Supercars.net), it still went up to 280mph (450.6kmh) in the game and it had enough horsepower to bang the rev limiter the whole time.
  22. I'm using StyleXP to control the themes, I installed a few different ones and the results are better, it's just that I like the blue XBox theme for the color and texture combinations. I also found that the font size chosen with the theme also controls the font size in the app, and if I choose medium or large sized fonts, the text in the Load/Save/Copy/Paste buttons disappears, but not the text in the tabs because those don't change size.
  23. Is there any way to change the appearance of this app? With the old 1.1 version I could see all the options, I could read everything easily, but the new changes have things looking a little funky to me.... As you can see by the attachment, I don't see any text in the Load Car, Save Car, Copy, and Paste buttons, and the color and size of the text in the main window makes things hard to read. I've tried changing every color in my windows theme, but the blue text and dark grey field can't be changed for some reason. I also notice in the exe config you have this setting..... <setting name="appearance" serializeAs="String"> <value>Office 2010 - Blue</value> Can that be changed to something else with a different color combination on my end?
  24. The sound is good on the upshift, but not on the downshift. The off-throttle engine sound is non-existent, the blow-off valve sound is the only thing you hear, for an engine to sound that loud going UP the rev range, but having no sound coming back down, that's not right. Listen when he downshifts, you can hear the engine loud and clear as well as the blow-off valve at the same time.
  25. I guess you never got into GTA modding (III, VC, SA, 4), because dozens of those mods originally came from paid sites and were released FOR FREE, in many cases the mods were done by the same person who made the model for the pay sites. For them, it's more exposure for their work which gives them the chance to get hired to do 3-D modeling full time. The same goes for mods for any other game that's moddable, they've ALL had paid for models released for free, everything from 1st person shooters to racing games to flight sims and everything inbetween. If the game is moddable, it's had paid models released for free.
