    Hello and Welcome to my first Traffic Pack
     
     
    This is my first and probably the last traffic pack I created for TDU.
    In the future some new cars may be added.
    I hated it all these years that no one else made traffic cars. Anyway...now I have done it 😄
    For more info pls read the FAQ below. 😉

    Known Issues
    Bigger Cars pop up after they come closer (you will see this sometimes on the Bus, Firetruck or the delivery Van) Police Car has a black square in the distance when activated the siren light The stock police car has this problem too
    I can only solve it when i remove the lightflares of the siren light
    Some Cars has a minimal clipping Bug

    FAQ:
    Q: Are there come more Traffic?
    A: Maybe...
    Q: Can i request you for new Traffic cars?
    A: No!
    Q: Wich Cars did you replaced?
    A: I replaced all the cars wich you can see in Stock TDU or TDU Platinum
       I replaced the cars with a nearly similar size (optical size) like the stock traffic.
    Q: Is it compatible with TDU Platinum?
    Yes my Traffic Pack will always be compatible with the latest version of TDU Platinum
    Q: There are some hidden Traffic Cars you have not replaced. Do you plan it?
    A: No! Because you need a different AIConfig.xml to unlock new traffic but this causes sync problems
       in multiplayer if some other guys use the stock AIConfig.xml
    Q: Have your traffic cars new paint?
    A: Nohh 😕 .... but i'm working on it. Some weeks ago i was testing it and it works but not proberly.
       If anyone knows more about it... tell me 😉 ......or.. do it by yourself, because i hate coding 😛
    Q: I found a car with a weird Bug can you solve it?
    A: I need a picture or a description of the Bug than i can decide it to fix.
    Q: Sometime bigger Cars pop up after they come closer
    A: Thats a Problem of the game and the collision file i can't solve it because
       i can't edit the collision file.
    Q: Some Cars has clipping bugs. I can drive through sometimes at beginning and end of a car
    A: Same Answer like the popping Up Vehicles, its a problem of the collision file.
    Q: Can you activate light textures for Visibility in nights?
    A: No because game has no properly working nights and all the necessary Textures are busy.
    Q: Can you remove the Lightflares?
    A: Yes but i'm won't. I let it in because it's better for the Traffic visibilty at the distance.
       If you want to remove them you can use my light_fx.2db texture to remove it.
       But Attention this remove the complete lightflares on every Car in the Game!!
    Q: I have a problem my cars are looking like a Monstertruck when i crash into it.
    A: Dont switch the traffic vehicles among themselves it causes optical problems wich i cant solve
       Maybe if there come more cars later, replace it only with traffic wich is scheduled!!
    Q: Can i share your Traffic Pack on other sides?
    A: Yes but use my Credits please. 😉

    Ok that's weird now. 😄 Maybe I never noticed it before because the textures were blurry and washed out?
    I play at 2560x1080 4x AA + 8x SMAA and 16x AF.
    Have had such artifacts before when editing cars, there I could fix it on the model itself.
    I just added now FXAA + MFAA in the Nvidia driver and instead of SMAA I use Multisample.
    The image looks a bit washed out and the artifacts are only slightly reduced.
    Hmm....ok I would have to test on occasion times on my other PC whether that is there also so.
    Nevertheless, this texture mod is really stunning, it somehow makes playing TDU much more fun.
    And photos look 1000x better, because there are no ugly textures in the background anymore.👌

    Wow kids explore "now" the 10 years old TDU1....:eek::oook::clap::jealous:
     
    But sry bro there is no option to ban someone in your session :(
    The only thing what you can do is to isolate your session or press pause when you see the guy is crashing you.
     
    Or you create a new profile with a other name.
     
     
    Developer of such games was never thinking about ban options. The last good example is The Crew same problem there.:fp::cry:

    Check your Options in-game.
     
    Go to options --> online --> and look if "online interactions allow" is activated.
    Atm i have no other idea why you can't see anybody.

    Test Drive Unlimited Online is only alive through Speeder & Lean and the whole TDU1 Community wich support that nice project. Some people did a donate for this Project.
    Speeder & Lean spend alot of Free-Time in this project so please respect this!
    Did you a donate for this? I dont think so!

    You can now see the shadow bug and the window bugs.
    I know that are the buggy cars from Tool but maybe you can a little bit optimized your HD/SD config?
     
    Those bugs are not a problem for me i take other mods but it was only a idea. :D ;)

    Thx, i know the ENB Injector and i think it's working. ;)
    Problem is that the development of ENB are opposed for TDU and the handfull of settings looks not good for this game.
     
    SweetFX won't work with the correct *.dll or the right name of this file. :(
     
    I will try in this week to make some photos from TDU with this new Overlay-prog. I love it, because it brings fresh new shaders in the game. :rockon:

    The only people who can bring the feature back are @Speeder or @lean but both guys are disappeared since a long time.
    That's really sad because this multiplayer project had much more potential.
    E.g.
    - more people in the session
    - Working online races again
    - Friendlist working again
    - i bet @BEight could put new gas stations in the world and Speeder/lean can make it work.
    - and much more...
     
    But i'm wondering all the time about one thing.... Who owns the server and who is the maintainer of it?
    Someone must have interest to running and maintain the server.
    That can only be someone who is interested to TDU.

    To create the mod, I used CommonWorldDiv2.bnk from TDU Platinum. I don't know if this mod was used there. 🙂 Maybe it was used... 🙂
    By the way, I do not recommend enabling HDR in the game. It can negatively affect the picture. And it can possibly lead to the artifacts we talked about above.
    Also, I recommend keeping fx tweek in PPL turned off.

    The fact is that I did not touch these textures. 🙂
    If possible, check these places in a clean TDU or in another mod.
    In general, yes, the retexture is demanding on the minimum video settings! If the resolution is less than 1920x1080, then most likely there will be a bad picture. Since textures are very sharp, low resolutions by definition are not able to reproduce their quality, so there can be any artifacts, especially in the HiRes version of the retexture!
    It is advisable to play at a resolution of 1920x1080 with x4 anti-aliasing and x16 anisotropic filtering! I've been retexturing more or less modern hardware that might allow the game to run on the above graphics settings.

    Yes, TDUF still requires Java jre 8 to 10 installed. Even in 2.0.
    It's possible to download a jre package I've built specially for TDUF, which will need to be extracted into a particular directory in the tools. This way you would not have to let Java install itself into your system if you don't have/want to.
    Considering changes made to Java and time required to adapt the project to Java 11+, it will be necessary to stick to previous versions so that TDUF continues to run.
    TDUF.next will be without Java but thus require another runtime that could be integrated. .net is the only standalone option except coding with it is not in my skill plans...

    Today, we got the announcement that TDU3, or better said, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is actually a thing. It's not a rumor anymore! TDU is back on the field!
    It was announced today, at Nacon Connection livestream, their first live event they did, it featured a couple of games they are working on, but really, what we all have been waiting for was some news for TDU3. And we got it in a form of a teaser and information presented by Alain Jarniou, Creative Director at KT Racing Studio and a former TDU1 and TDU2 dev.  Anyways, enough talk, here are the videos:

    I do hope TDU3 comes. I've just installed TDU1 after months maybe even a year and love it just as much as the first time I played it. 
    It's got me wanting to make a mod.
