1. Big ask buuuuut can I use the VL Commodore Group A? It's an 88 model... Straya? Otherwise I spose I'll use the Carlton and paint it like a commodore touring car...
2. Oooooh Edit: pfffffffffffff nope, I'll come back next week lol.
3. I'll be adding more here real soon! Yet another return to the forum by Prophecy! Life just constantly gets in the way of me participating in the forum :(
4. Unfortunately I just wasnt feeling the Speciale in black on the Nordschliefe, but I did get this one photo. My beloved MX5 Cup SS (LS swap) Strayaaaa! (the irony kills me...)
5. Hey guys, I know I haven't discussed this with anyone, but frankly it's so open and so accessible, I think it can just exist and be a thing we do for fun. So Time Attack- what is it? Have you been living under a rock? Time Attack is a real world discipline of motorsport where the winner is not based on physical track position or amount of laps completed, its purely based on lap time. You know the rivals leaderboards? Time Attack. Think qualifying laps, except you can bin the car and still win the race, as long as you qualified first. "So just use the rivals function". Yes. But where is the community interaction? What we're going to do is basically run this the same as the picture of the week comps- winner chooses next weeks theme. In this case, the 'theme' is the class of car (A, B, C etc) and any other restrictions (AWD only, naturally aspirated only, pre 1970 only, etc- any restrictions you like- could make it car specific, for extra emphasis on driver skill) and which circuit we'll be racing at. The winner isn't based on votes (obviously), rather the fastest lap time set within a time period (entries are open for a week)- emphasis on 'within a time period'- if you have already set a faster lap than what you managed to set in the period, it doesnt count. This will basically be an honour system/gentleman's agreement, but I mean really, the only reward here is the money you win IN GAME (everyone will make money out of this, because its a built in game mechanic) and the privelage of setting next weeks theme. The main idea behind this is to utilize a built in mechanic for a bit of community competition; knowing that there are people actively trying to set a faster lap than you, bragging rights, all that good stuff. Its something you can access any time, any day, and not commit to for the long run, or jump into late, it doesnt matter, its all for fun and theres no set number of events. Keen for your feedback, and potential improvements to the formula. 6. So I'm miles off the pace lol. Super fun, made so many frustrating mistakes due to cracking under pressure, and exhaustion (it was 1am for me- Monday, my time). Can we change the time at all? Even if we moved it back just 2 hours? What if we moved it forward 22 hours?
7. Works out to be 1am Monday for me, not Sunday, like I believed. I'm out, would have been great, I built a silly quick mx5 cup with an LS engine. Oh well.
8. 45 minutes folks! Edit: nevermind me, just having my dates wrong/having a little misunderstanding.
9. Saw a black/red stripe abarth 595 next to a base model fiat 500 on the freeway this morning, was cool
10. The IMSA Fairlady makes the pack for me, but the Volvo is super cool, I can't wait to have a crack at the Caparo, not a fan of using concept cars, but the infiniti looks cool. Don't really care for lmp cars but I'll give the rebellion thing a crack anyway. The Honda looks incredible, it's a shame it's career wasn't very successful irl. Limo... Yeah nah. Just like the transit van for me, just why... Great start to fm6 dlc; if this is the quality and diversity we can expect from the rest of the dlcs, I'll be a very happy chappy
11. Do you like model cars, or Fiestas, by any chance?
12. Can't believe this thread isnt already a thing, so... heres a thread. Post your model collection; whether it be 1:18 autoart models, 1:24 model kits, hot wheels cars- military vehicles, cars, bikes, whatever is in your collection! Mine is pretty varied. I build 1:24 cars, I have a couple of 1:18 and 1:24 diecast, and im amassing a hotwheels collection. So starting with probably the least interesting of all, my half completed- actually I wouldnt even call it half completed. I painted the body, then a wheel broke. 18 months ago. Getting there... my half completed 1990 something (lets say 96, for simplicity's sake) Subaru Legacy GT-B wagon. Currently running R34 Skyline GTR wheels, which I may end up running, but will have to modify to fit in the guards properly. Possibly the first I ever got- and not a bad start at all, if you ask me- my 1:43 Peugeot 206 WRC Finished this over the weekend, an unfortunately stancey R34 GTR Z Tune. I'll build another one faithful to the real Z Tunes at some point. It was also meant to be bayside blue, but despite assurances that it was the right colour, the hobby shop guy sold me the wrong paint... Also, sitting on 19" SSR SP3s, with the titanium lip and all, I am very proud of how it all came together, I just wish it wasnt so stancenation :( Pearl white R33 Skyline GTR- its boxed as a Nismo custom; in no way is it a legit Nismo model but its got a nice little lip kit and such, and I put Work CR Kais on it, and a rear diffuser, sourced from my quite broken RE Amemiya FD3S. Hot Wheels limited edition 1:18 599 GTO- had it for a good 3 years, and it still catches my eye every time. Awesome model, the detail is ridiculous. Helps that the GTO is my favourite car of all time... Forget who makes this 1:18 Gallardo Superleggera, Maisto maybe? Cool model anyway, pretty good quality. TE27 Corolla Levin and AE92 Corolla FX-GT hatch :) Nismo 380RS (with Advan RS wheels, blacked out headlights, titanium exhaust) and Nissan 240Z 432R custom :D My most recent (not even finished!) and possibly favourite model of all (ALL.), my 993 GT2 Clubsport. Satin/battleship grey with a lot of bright blue accents. like the roll cage and brake calipers. Heavily inspired by the likes of Singer, Magnus Walker, RWB and an Australian shop named Autohaus Hamilton. The front spoiler was setting, hence it sitting up on a clothes peg lol. More works in progress. AE101 Corolla Levin GT Apex, AE92 Trueno GTZ (was actually finished, then I decided I was going to redo it- it was the first model I made and was very rough), 180SX- first gen, pig nose- and my broken RE Amemiya FD3S. I think i'll just buy another kit, the chassis got wrecked and I already stole the diffuser... Hotwheels! Speedhunters Viper ACR, Pagani Huayra, Acura NSX, Honda Civic, Toyota 2000GT, Nissan 240Z, limited edition Dan Gurney AAR Cuda, Camaro SS convertible, 70 Challenger, 934 Turbo RSR, 934 Turbo RSR :), E30 M3, F&F mk1 Escort.
13. That's 1am on Monday for me, that's simply not doable for me. Can we work something else out?
14. Woo, let's lower a fiesta! (in a couple of weeks when I can afford to have it done...)
15. Ended up getting an engine in it from a front cut of another jdm ae92 levin gt apex, with manual gearbox etc. Most of it was together, just lost interest in making it work because I had got the fiesta, which is far more enjoyable in pretty well every way than the levin ever would have been, so I sold it. The guy that bought it got it like 99% but a fuel issue left him with a car that wouldnt run, I have no idea whether he managed to fix it or if he sold it on as well. Either way, maybe i'll be in a trueno gtz one day, but the Levin was not to be, in the end.
16. HA yes, I overlooked the mess of cables, because i'm used to it. Yup, left handed because we're right hand drive in Australia ;)
17. Nothing terribly fancy, but it gets the job done. MDF construction, cheap 1 piece non reclineable seat, Logitech G920 w/H pattern shifter.
18. For general rig show-offiness use this thread instead --> [Gaming Setups] Couldn't find a thread on cockpits/rigs, so I started one- if one DOES exist, am happy to delete this and post in the pre-existing thread. Nothing terribly fancy, but it gets the job done. MDF construction, cheap 1 piece non reclineable seat, Logitech G920 w/H pattern shifter.
19. Theme wasn't intentional, but I tried to roll with it with this set too. Tried Laguna Seca first, but I just don't like the lighting/colouration of the circuit this time around, unfortunately... Maybe a different car will work there for me... So I tried Watkins Glen instead, and oh my, what a beautiful circuit, I didn't realize from racing it just how much elevation change there is. Took a new approach to my settings too, I think it works.
