  1. 1:18 Mercedes C112 Concept car, made by Guiloy, costed me €69,95 new. + one of the nicest boxes I've seen + rare, in black/white prototype livery + good details like true-to-the-original rims, wingdoors and the extendable rearwing + black/red interior, better than the colors of the original interior - doors and bonnet (rear, it's rearengined) won't stay up and the car has no supports to keep them up - tires are apparently greased for a shiny finish, watch out putting this on a glass surface! 8/10 Lego Technic 8448: Supercar Mk.II, costed me fl.249,99 new (dutch currency before €), shown model is NOT any of the original models. + Biiiiiiiiig set, bare chassis is around 40 to 50 cm long. + Modular building method used on the Supercar is brilliant! + Working V8 and 5-speed + reverse. + Awesome main models: a sort of fastback with Gullwing doors, or a convertible with functioning folding roof. - It's RWD where the previous model, Mk.I, was AWD, and 4-wheel steered. - It's red. I'd say paint it black, yellow, or get silver panels of the ridiculously expensive Silver Champion set. - Manual shows 6 possible models (gullwing, roadster, concept, buggy, racer and hotrod) but only the gullwing and roadster are fully explained, the other 4 only have their ''special feature'' explained. - Why (insert_swearing_here) is there no Mk.III Supercar!? ¬¬ 8,5/10 2003 Mercedes-Benz World Racing 2-dvd PC-game, I believe I got it as a gift, new. + over 120 cars which all have own performancestats, behavior and different enginesounds + W125 Rekordwagen, C111 II and C112 were in :D + variety of colors, licenseplates and possibility to drive with or without softtop + larger rims for all the AMG-versions + accurate meshes for the car bodies + 7 freeroam scenarios, total of over 100 different tracks - visual damage was only deformational - cars couldn't do a lot else than drive: no horn, no lights, no turningsignals etc - the rimpieces with the spokes were 2D...¿ - game was relatively lowdetail and not good enough to compete, especially compared to the similar game: NFS5 Porsche. 7,5/10
  2. No problem ;) As for the rest of the post, I don't understand french really well (and the forumrule is to talk english ;) ), but do you say: ....I'll have to buy a second license to sell the other to a friend, I am French so the game normally is multilingual? because the Q7 coast line is pre-order on a U.S. website "WALMART.com" ... ? I assume for Europe there will be a multi-language version, and yes the Q7 Coastline for now is only available at WALMART.com to USA people. I don't know, maybe you can try to pre-order it from there to get the Q7 Coastline. Somebody should correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume you can install and play the US-game without problems. So, pre-order it at WALMART for you, to get that Q7, and give the game you already pre-ordered at Atari to your friend.
  3. Listening to a different Motorhead: the late 90's racinggame Motorhead :p. Yes I listen to quite some game soundtracks. This is the music of the track Redrock Ridge, music in the game is mainly from Olof Gustafsson. I have the full soundtrack as mp3 and it's one of the better game soundtracks I know, next to NFS3, 4, and 5
  4. Some dutch gamingsites say the game is pinned for September 24th as European releasedate. One note is that they all mention the 370Z as only pre-order bonus available, they have not (yet?) announced any other bonuses for pre-orders in Europe.
  5. Basically World becomes Most Wanted 2, Carbon 2 and Undercover 2 as the gameworld is a high-res-textured, slightly modified combination of those 3 cities/areas.
  6. I think they did. They said the police would come back, and they had a little surprise for hów they would return. Other than a renewed system of how they will monitor you, I can only think of the possibility for us to play as police.
  7. I posted some of those already in another topic, official TDU2 site up topic or something... Maybe we need one topic for all new screenshots to prevent 5 people posting it throughout the TDU2 section.
  8. Ye and that's what is actually preventing people from buying it and look out for other games, including TDU2. Look at NFSCars.net, it's (one of) the biggest NFS communities and everybody's furious about all that paying and this starter pack you can buy. It's so funny to see all those people giving EA the entire dictionary of bad words etc. On the other side, it's sad to see they just don't care. Then again, it's like CM, they also don't care, and luckilly TDU2 has nothing to do with either of them.
  9. Does IV really run great on your pc then? I can't imagine an 8800GT being able to run all graphical settings max.
  10. What would you guys think of new dummy-vehicles? Instead of having that somewhat odd-looking orange-red coupe, they make a few cars, one or two for each category, making it more like real. They don't have to be exactly the cars shown below, but something general. There's going to be heaps of plastic, tape and covers on it so they have enough freedom, and they don't need licensing. Sports- and supercars (shown are Lamborghini ''Jota'' and a Lotus): SUV's and other offroaders (shown are Mercedes ML63 and Saab 9-4X): Luxury (shown is Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS):
  11. Yes, like that. NFS Porsche and MBWR had quite some of these races, although NFS really made a separate gamemode for it.
  12. I don't think it would be possible from the start as this would require more cars, but Mercedes-Benz World Racing had some nice racetypes. These were some sort of comparism races between one old car and one new car, preferably one being the successor of the other. One of these races got you racing a 300SL with a headstart against a modern SL (R230) and you had to win ofcourse. As said though this would require some cars to be present in several generations, like an old and new 911, or a Corvette C3 against a C6, so maybe the DLC's can provide some variety. Other than this, I can't really think of other races and I also don't think they would suit TDU2 without pulling it too far to another genre/racingclass. Hot Pursuit would be nice, but that involves the player getting policecars and those could only be used/selected when doing a specific pursuit race. Perhaps they could do prototype testing. I don't know if this would be good enough on the racingtrack(s?) or that it would require a specific testcenter/skidpad, but that way you could get a message brand X has built a concept and it needs to be tested. You test it by reaching the objectives, such as reaching specific speeds or G's, and when you complete the race, either you get the car straight away as a thank-you or ''the engineers will fix the last bits'' and give you the car later on.
  13. Nothing new, just to inform European gamers can also try to obtain a betatester position.
  14. http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=19281 That's from now on the discussion topic for his hints. ;) Yes, it has been mentioned a few times, just remember to post the correct pictures, you now posted an impression and not a real photo ;)
  15. We don't know yet if all cars will be available for all versions, so for now, expect to nót get the Q7, as you already pre-ordered at Atari, which gives you that 370Z. However, if things will later on happen like with TDU1, there might be a chance they will release the pre-order cars for more people, so maybe you might then have a chance to get it.
  16. I also tried to look at that clock. One of the first screenshots was straightly aimed at the dashboard. I hoped it would have been in a different position, thus indicating working clocks, but they were on exactly the same position :( And I believe it seems refuelling is also not in. If you look very closely, these new AM screenshots show that the car's engine is on (right large dial). That early screenshot of TDU2 had the engine turned OFF, but the Fuelgauge (small left gauge) is in exactly the same position. So it seems refuelling might not be in, and that other dials than Speed and RPM won't work either. Last but not least: where's the navi? Compare: Old screenshot, engine off: New screenshot, engine on:
  17. Well he's dutch and I believe US and EU use different years for the same model, I believe US always uses a year later than EU. ;) EDIT: have you guys seen the new screenshots at that german site? http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=6&pk=91581&fk=2112865 http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=6&pk=91581&fk=2112866 http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=6&pk=91581&fk=2112867 Dunno if this last one is new, it does show the other rims for the Viper: http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=6&pk=91581&fk=2112888
  18. We have just two tv's: one utterly bad one on the cold attic which we basically never use, and the main tv in the livingroom. The livingroom is not an option, the whole setup is far away from any suitable for console-play (we don't have the ballrooms you always see in commercials :p), and my family wants to be able to watch tv while I game somewhere else. The bad tv is just not right, it'll be too small for proper gaming to start with. I will look at how big those parts are before upgrading, and make sure there's enough room, that won't be such a problem. @killalldude: I already opened the pc several times. We only had a 1-year warranty, and I already opened it for putting in that new 4GB ram, and because of the horrible internet-crunch we had recently *thought that a new networkcard might help*. I understand that if I keep upgrading, I will eventually have to replace that much stuff that it basically becomes a new pc, but I won't be upgrading this pc that often. Thanks about the tips for searching new parts and finding out what CPU fits on my pc. It's getting quite a bit more clear for me now :)
  19. I know, I also won't be upgrading untill September (assuming Worst Case Scenario, that I won't be in the beta). I am not getting a console though, there's not really enough room for a second tv etc. About upgrading Dells, that's what I hear more often. I don't think I'll already be changing pc again, but when this one goes I will look into building one myself. About the CPU, I saw this topic a few days ago of a guy with the same pc as mine. He managed to replace his CPU with a better one without any trouble after applying a BIOS update from Dell. It would make the pc support about a dozen of extra CPU's and installing the new one wasn't a really tough job. That kind of gave me a bit of hope, but I already heared that would require a new PSU... EDIT: I also see this about GPU upgrading: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3515/t/19243830.aspx
  20. Wow, well 100k sounds very good :p But I assume you don't want to be cruising with 8 of those or what?
  21. To get some more details, and at the same time preventing the Systemreq's topic to focus on me, I thought this would be better. :) So as my speclist says I have this E6420 2.13GHz as CPU now and a 256MB 8600GTS, both which don't meet the requirements, although the CPU is just slightly short. As I really want TDU2, I'm going to look at upgrading this pc, which is a Dimension 9200. I read somewhere that the maximum resolution of the monitor also sort of depends which GPU's would do, my maximum resolution is 1680x1050, 20'' widescreen. It's only CPU and GPU I'm worried about, sound always worked fine and I have about 3.25GB Ram to use (4GB but you know, Vista HP 32-bit...). I know it's hard to tell how and what as the game's not out yet, but what would you think be needed to run this game above medium?
  22. Very good pictures :) What's the advantage then of LOD0? I know LOD is Level of Detail, like lowpoly meshes for large distances, but what's up with LOD0?
  23. After seeing how well Codemasters paid attention to pc-gamers with GRID, I'm really not jumping of excitement to play their games anymore. And for me F1 can't beat TDU2, no matter who makes that F1 game.
  24. Thanks. Seems the video on that page is English, so the link is international-friendly :p She doesn't say a lot of new stuff, we now only know the new info that the classic Mustang is her favorite car.
  25. Hi, I don't know for sure as I never looked it up by opening the pc, but it's a Dell Dimension 9200 and it says on the internet the PSU for that pc is a Delta N375P-00 of 375W.
