  1. 1. Mythbusters Hilarious, interesting, too popular. Should I think of ONE bad thing about them, it's that they indirectly spawned that stupid kidcrew of ''Crash Lab''. 2. Scrapheap Challenge The original series with the original setup, and with Robert Llewellyn as host. 3. Fast 'n Loud They're hilarious, and I can't get enough of shows doing cars. 4. Fifth Gear I've watched this show before I knew about Top Gear, as strange as it may sound. TG might be funnier but Fifth Gear just suits me better with their more serious approach. 5. Chasing Classic Cars Can I have his life? His contacts? His job? 6. Wheeler Dealers Any season, any setup, from the first series to the current Trading Up series. 7. Road Wars UK Ye... why do I like this so much?... To see people being caught because they had to get into trouble, to see how the police reacts on certain things. I like police chases too. Thanks to Electronic Arts, it was NFS3 that got me into police pursuits lol. 8. Blik op de Weg I think this translates to ''View on the Road'', it's a bit like Road Wars, but a little less action-packed. Also, it follows traffic police catching traffic offenders such as speeders or dangerous drivers. It's not like Road War's regular police who have to respond to stuff like robberies, burglaries, domestic violence or public disturbance. 9. American Chopper Yay, something not car related! Swearing, joking, fooling around, and building bikes. Yep 10. The Dukes of Hazard The car. The fun. The car. The action. The chases. The car. Rosco. J.D. Hogg.... The car? Yep, a looooooooooooooot of cars in there. That's because I'm not counting in the shows I watched when I was very young, such as the old Cartoon Network, or even longer ago, stuff like Sesame Street. In addition, for Cartoon Network I'd simply nominate the whole channel minus maybe 5 shows. And ofcourse I can mention a lot more series, especially on Discovery Channel, like American Hot Rod, American Casino and the whole A Car/Plane/Helicopter Is (Re)Born with Mark Evans. When I was young and they had it on tv here I also watched Battle Bots. The US series, in which Grant Imahara (yep, him) participated, and Bill Nye was the one going a bit more indepth on some of the robots etc. And on dutch tv... well... The only show I kinda like is called Miljoenenjacht, which means ''Hunt for the Millions''. Simply put, it involves 25 golden suitcases with money in them (a cardboard cheque) from €0,01 up to 5 million. Contestant has to pick one suitcase which he keeps with him. Then, he has to eliminate the remaining suitcases by picking them. They get opened up and the more low money amounts he eliminates, the more high money amounts are still in the game, and the higher the offer will be from the ''bank'' to buy that suitcase he kept safe. Contestant can choose to accept the offer, or continue eliminating more suitcases. I know there might be a show like this in the UK for it too, but I don't know the name :p.
  2. Ryzza had a topic on that, but it only focussed on online TO offline.
  3. For a moment there it looked like the mission was in danger with that failing rocket of the lander, but they did it!
  4. You mean this one? Released [upd]FeaturesPack.05.v028 [mini] | turboduck forum
  5. I'm not entirely happy with this update. The new DAF is nice, lots of the stuff they mentioned sounds good and they keep working like they have 100 people on the game, but the AI is still going downhill. The update is told to contain more realistic AI vehicle speed in curves, but I think they messed it up. Traffic now rapidly slows to 40 km/h on the big cloverleaf interchanges, when they simply have to make a loooong wiiiide curve to the right which you could easily do at 90 km/h. Already caused a crash and 2 circus manoeuvres to avoid an accident.
  6. Same for me. The reason I played GTA was because the title had ''Auto'' in it, which is dutch for car so I associated it with cars. My aunts often showed me lists of games from a colleague and I could pick a few, I chose GTA and loved the driving aspect. All the killing was side-stuff.
  7. Have you actually played the game?...
  8. ETS2 is updated to 1.14!
  9. Wouldn't you'd also need to edit textures to make the texture of an indicator glass/bulb to appear illuminated? You know, the thing that's bugged on for example the Spykers (when you put them in reverse, the front indicator textures illuminate).
  10. One side of me says, no problem. I don't see harm in it, and if they don't get it from GTA they'll get it from other sources. Also, I first played GTA1 (300-secs demo) when I was 7 and played through GTA2 when I was 8. I only found it hilariously funny and wasn't good enough in english yet to get 50% of what they meant with their words on the ingame radios. I loved driving tanks over cars as much as I could, or roll behind a running pedestrian to blow him up towards the screen. Didn't affect me, I'm too easy going and kind and I don't suffer from it in any way. Then here's the reason I might say no... GTA 1 and 2 looked like nothing but fun because they were graphically too basic games. Simple puppets seen from top down with funny movements. A modern GTA looks very realistic, the human characters do so too and so do all the fights, blood and what not. I'm not sure if that would scare kids or not. Then again, I find it too easy to blame bad behavior of people/kids on games. Usually that would involve private real life problems too, causing them not to grow up properly with the right guideance. And that's a fact, and I got the real life experience to back it up with. In the end though I would let em play such games.... say maybe from 12 years and up, because I think beyond that age they'll find such stuff otherwise anyway. I'll just tell them it's like an action fighting movie and made to kick against some legs here and there because the makers like to annoy people. First make sure they understand what's good and what's bad, and what's fact and what's fiction. And if I see the first signs of influence, such as the kid becoming less polite, more destructive or trying to do really questionable things, intervene.
  11. By convoy, do you mean vehicle/parcel delivery or the ''celebs'' missions? I only have the latter ones available.
  12. I don't see the slightest issue in it, you just ignore his post he said she can drive everything as far as he's concerned :p.
  13. Meh, that's people's own fault. They forget that purchase prices lower automatically, repair costs if they change at all tend to rise instead. They want to drive top-class cars for euro-shopper budgets, then they rage when one thing breaks down and it's more expensive than their old Skoda or Opel. :D
  14. The bigger/more luxurious the car and the bigger the engine, the faster it loses its value. That's why you'll find most people look for such cars second hand rather than new. There's a 221 Mercedes S65 AMG for sale in holland for just 36.000 euros. It costed 305.000 euros when it was brand new. It happens to all such cars.
  15. She's clumsy so you give her 2000 kg and 5 meters worth of Merc lol :p Nice cars mike (except the abarth because well.... I can't view the page). Imo the wheels of the RR are just on the edge of being aftermarket in their appearance (ah well more brands suffer from that).
  16. My car: Mercedes C216 CL63 AMG 69.950 Partner car: Mercedes A207 E350 Cabriolet 42.500 Weekend car: Mercedes R230 SL55 AMG 39.950 Track carLotus 340R 28.950 And I end up with 9.950 left for a nice holiday with my girlfriend, who travels cheap because a sheet of A4 paper fits in the luggage :nods:.
  17. You might have to wait.... or drive around and check later. It also took a while for me and I also had some minutes with 0 to 2 people visible on map.
  18. Awesome. Just awesome.
  19. Ye I'll just confirm as well it's working fine, other than it might take a few minutes before the game understands players are nearby, and the fuelgauge not disappearing in pause/exit. I had no issues during play. Feels great to be back.
  20. Give me my score back...
  21. I already had the idea the name rang a bell! Ye it's a nice one for a Q&A :)
  22. So this is mine, matches quite good for a change.
  23. Have you ticked the box for the GameSpy account? It's working good for me. I only seem to find a few guys out there but ok maybe not a lot of people are playing at this moment. :)
