  1. Nvm.... I found an old post of Andreaz1 stating profiles only work with the games with which they were created..... I installed a different copy I had laying here. Can anybody confirm this?
  2. Well I did that, I first made a profile called Test with which I finished that first race, then I copied my files over. But it didn't detect it :(
  3. So with the release of TDUZoqqers modding tutorials and the TDU Paradise project of Speeder, I decided to install my whole TDU1 whack again. What I've done: -installed game + key -patch it to 1.66 (but the game said it already was 1.66.... mkay) -installed megapack + key (went fine) -played game (got rental car, bought house, finished the first race) Playing the game made me notice some things I now ask for solutions for. I also had TDU1 installed on my previous PC, a Vista 32-bit machine, and never had the next issues on that pc. 1. The map button doesn't work. I've re-assigned it several times, but when pressing it I hear that TDU-error buzzer. How to fix this? FIXED I had not finished the ''tutorial'' yet (didn't recognize the tutorial required a return home and leaving the house again). 2. The game acts in a way I remember from GTA2. When played on modern machines, that game would go ballistic in gameplay speed if the frame limiter wasn't checked. Well, I have the feeling this now happens to my TDU1. The traffic almost instantly changes lane, sometimes causing jumps or bumps, traffic spawns suddenly a few times very near me, and animations like lowering the windows or starting the car go very, very fast. On my Vista machine, lowering/raising the windows took like 2 or 3 seconds (and yes, gameplay was smooth....), now it takes 0,5-1 second... How to slow this down? 3. I played TDU before, finished it (ok maybe to 95-99%), and I backed up those saves. It's a map with the profile name, and that map contains an IGE map *in my case with 3 IGE files*, a playersave folder with 2 files and a playersave2 with similar files. I tried moving my profile name map to Documents>TDU>savegame but the game did not recognize the save when I entered the Profiles list. So, how dó I get this to work? Do I need more files? I also have a TDU_MC_1_66_A.dmp file, is that one required? FIXED I have followed Ryzza5's description on how to convert an online save to offline, and it's all back again. Details of settings ingame: 1920x1080 60Hz 4xAA HDR on Perhaps unnecessary to mention but I'm talking about my own old savegames, my TDU game is legit and my megapack is legit.

  6. I'd vote for expanding the mod shop to more titles, I just hope that won't let the amount of dead links blow through the roof but ok that is hard to prevent really. There are more driving and racing games out there, maybe we got people here who also mod other games than just TDU.
  7. With the original game servers? Yes, that was ever since TDU was released and they successfully carried that on to TDU2. No offense meant to anybody here, but in 80% of the cases I clicked a friend to join, I was thrown into some random hungarian or russian session. Again, no offense meant :) It was about half of all times I tried to join people that I just gave up because it took so long. It eventually could work by joining other people who were in the same session as your friend.

  11. Lol... the more people demand the longer Speeder should wait xD Just give him time man. We're all eager to play but I bet there's a lot to be fixed and worked on behind the scenes.
  12. That's quite of a downer, no working convertibles. They do get wipers and such to work, but no roofs. Missed opportunity for a game setting where you indeed want to drop that roof asap. Cross country races are really with all types of cars? Lol. I remember seeing that in a vid, a Bowler having competition off-road of an E63 AMG..... seriously wtf :para:
  13. Ye it really reminds me of tracks in Grid. Basically also a bit of Monaco but especially the US based ones are a lot more in a simple grid pattern like this is too. Somebody already went there through streetview? :p

  16. Silver silver silver silver S65 AMG Coupe, with Carbon pack for carbon outside bits, carbon trim inside, wood/leather steeringwheel, and the Night pack to get rid of the horrible silverish mesh in the front intakes.

  18. Well they're better than your signature... ye I know, doesn't make sense, neither was the graphics statement :p . I didn't state it was purely about that. I can also take pictures with GranTurismo or Driveclub that look as "good" as pre-2000 NFS games did.... He just made very cool pictures, and I do find the one-before-last shot amazing.

  20. @SZABI: so that means the X6M is also in? Would be odd otherwise to campaign with a car not in your product, wouldn't it?.... Interesting.
  21. I left that out because imo that's not a new map but an expansion on an existing road network, just like Big Surf's Island in Burnout Paradise is. Majority of the map is not changed. Here we are talking about new remote areas (I think that northen scandinavia qualifies as that, that whole world is not in the current game yet).
  22. Ivory Tower might not care. They're mostly TDU1 devs and TDU1 lacked digital dashboards too, which imo have long been a standard in racinggames. Ofcourse a bit too direct of a link but just goes to show it might seem so standard for today, while it doesn't mean everybody will do it lol. ETS2 is getting a DLC that will add Scandinavia to the ingame world. I'm not 100% sure if it will include Denmark (not included in default game) but it will include the northern countries, plus all transfer locations (which I assume will become harbours).

  24. I think that's an entirely different thing involving a different side of the game's code to be changed, and I think that's more something for one of those Community Patches than for a project aimed at simply establishing a new server for online play. :)
