That's gonna be too long to explain. I haven't written the tutorial for all that process yet. But you give me a good occasion to do it. I'll write it now, will try deliver it tonight or tomorrow and reply here when it's ready.
    Basically you need to
Rename each wheels like that: F488_Rst_F_01, F488_Rst_F_02, F488_Rst_F_03... Add the Bnk files in the Bnk folder ( Bnk\Vehicules\Rim\Ferrari) then with TDUF force the MagicMap to read the files,  In the database copy the wheels from the Ferrari F430 and edit all the values to make it different from the original. Specially each REF values that needs to be different from the original F430 wheels. Connect your added wheels to the slot. If you can't wait you can still do it following my video in my tutorial when I edit TDU_Rims.db and TDU_CarRims.db (not forgetting to resize the wheels in TDU_Rims.db), add the values in the Database (in TDUMT using the "DB ressources" app), change the values in TDU MT "Database" app. The video probably is only good for the rims where you don't risk too much.
At the moment did you managed to resize your wheels ?

Don't worry for noobs questions 😎 Yes you can do it all with TDUF ! When you click on "Edit", it's your chance modifying the numbers.
    https://github.com/djey47/tdu-cp/wiki/TDUF-Rims-Handling
Or if you want to use TDUF you can do it manually by modifying the value directly inside the databse (my guide). Much slower but same result.
Use your backup Atari files. Replace one of the 10 slots made specially for modding. Open TDUPE, set TDUPE to your vanilla backup game. Export the .tdupk physic file and close TDUPE. Open TDUF, open the slot you are replacing and import the Audi A6 tdupk file.

She said many times she won't add any vehicles. But you can either:
replace one of the 10 slots made specifically for modding or add a new slot with the help the wiki guide and tutorial.

Have you got the 4GB executable installed ? They are included in the .rar file of the 1.06 patch.
    ---
On other subject, I'm amazed how much echo Platinium is having around the internet. A fairly big channel did a good review of the mod. Great job 🙂

EDIT: @Milli May I report a glitch ? Not your fault obviously cause I did some testing as well and found the same problem.
In the British Independant dealer (Lotus, Ford Cosworth, Bentley, Caterham), you can't buy the Lotus Esprit V8. It's set on slot 5 in the dealer. Easy fix is to move the Esprit around in the dealer on a different spot with TDUF or TDUMT but you will not be able to buy the other car on that slot 5. It's strange the slot doesn't work. @Djey perhaps have you got any idea ?

TDUPE doesn't work with Platinium. Or it kinda works but it's a complicated process to use it with Platinium as Milli said somewhere.
Use TDUF 1.12 Database Editor instead and go to the "TDUPE inspired" section. Works like a charm when you import a tdupk physic file or change the values. You'll find TDUF in your extracted TDU Platinium folder in "TDU Platinium Toolkit".
Brilliant tool TDUF ! I strongly recommend anyone who want to mod cars to use it. Just take less than 5 mins to understand how to use it. Of course before making any modifications, MAKE BACKUPS OF THE BNK FILES AND THE DATABASE !
Just to let know anyone: One car in the game equals one line of values in the database. So each values correspond to something. The database works like that: One value = One name or One value = Hp for exemple. So if you want to create a name like "A10" for Ascari, you can create a name and TDUF will automatically create an associated number to go with the name you create.
Check out my old tutorial to understand how TDU's database works. But do not create a new car slot cause my tutorial is outdated and have a few problems. I might remake a tutorial video or write a guide in turboduck's wiki.
No adjust the IK in TDU Modding Tools or TDUF to "Shelby Daytona". I Or ingame just press one of the F4 to F8 key to remove the driver.

Hey Milli. Hello all the other old friends 🙂
Yes I've been away for so long. So many reasons made me disappear from here, life, work, depression, and so on. Plus I got bored with TDU's roads and I played too much competitive Sim Racing like GT Sport, Assetto Corsa and others...
Thanks to you Milli, you've made an outstanding work here ! Absolutely mad ! You like many others (Djey, franks...) made me come back playing. I guess you never forget your first game crush.
Been testing and playing for a while. No problem encountered yet since V1.00. I love that you've changed not only the cars but the general TDU experience. The race tour of the island is much better and somehow harder with a crazy fast AI that did a lap of 46mins30 with the F1 GTR. All is well and flawless.
Just a little criticism: car sound wise a few cars don't sound right like I don't get why Lancia 037's 4 cylinder sound like BMW M1's Inline-6. Or some cars sound too similar like the Maserati's V8s and the Audi's V8s. So at the moment I'm looking inside my old massive TDU mods folder to see if I can get a few great sound to give a bit of variety and sense. If turboduck give me permission, I'll post a pack of sound mods for all the Platinium+Atari cars. But it's not all bad, you added some great sounds specially all the Supras.
And why all the HUD's file names have "WHUD" ? In my tutorial I've name the SLS's HUD "WHUD" because they are 2 gauges mods for the SLS: one with a White HUD and one with a Black HUD. So I feel sorry for everyone putting the effort of naming their HUD "WHUD" 😂 You can give the bnk's name any names you like in reality 😉
So other than all that, BIG THANK YOU to you and all the community for this monster work. 😀
On a final note, I'm gonna help feed the wiki specially the "add cars slots" part.
Cheers ! See you on the road !

    Hello everyone 🙂

Since Project Paradise is released and TDU Online back, there is a great effort from every modders and a fantastic enthusiast from the community it self for improving TDU1. The work of modders are remarkable and big thanks for the great cars, sound, physics, tools and future Patches. 🆒

I know some people here who wants to do some modding but don't really have the skills, the time, the motivation and so many other reason to make mod. I want to talk more to people (like me) who wants to learn modding and wants to get skills. People who wants to see their dream car ingame or in the mod shop of Tduck 🦆

So my idea is to create a thread about sharing all our basic knowledge of modding and help each other for making mods. For example, What is really a DDS ? What tools do we need to make sound mods ? How to make accurate physics ? How to import a 3D Model to TDU ? Etc...
Actual Modders can also share their knowledge if they want to; I've read somewhere that Comb@t is making a video tutorial for car modding, don't know if it's still on it. Thanks for his enthusiast 🙂
Hopefully we'll see more modders around in the future.

The first post will be updated with interesting and useful tips and links to complete tutorial for sound mods, HUDs, Import Cars... (I think Iced_Bullet have done something like that in the past but he's not around anymore)

    I. BASICS AND FACTS

    a) EXPLANATION ABOUT MODS

A Mod is something modified from the original game or an addon. It could be anything like a new car, Environments mod, Weather Mods, Sound Mods...

For example, The original game doesn't have a BMWs, Porsches, Autumn environment, Day-Night Cycle; With mods, all these things are possible ! Or if you think the sound of your Gallardo sound awful, the dashboard of your Ferrari looks bad, or you want a customize number plate, that's again possible ! 😉
    b) DEFINITION ABOUT FORMATS

BNK: Or TDU Bank, these files are an element of the game. It could be Sounds, Car Exteriors, Car Interiors, Rims, Gauges HUD, Traffic, Environments... Etc. These file contains loads of different files. For example, Enzo_I.Bnk have 3D Elements and Textures (2db) inside the BNK File. Enzo_audio.Bnk have Wave sounds and an XMB file. Commonworld.Bnk have loads of 2db Texture files. This file can be open by Mini BNK Manager or File Browser in TDU Modding Tools.

2db: It's a texture file who is generally inside Bnks. But you can find in ...\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\FX 3 2db's files. These file can be converted in DDS with TDU Modding Tools to be modified.

DDS: Direct Draw Surface. These files are Textures. Example: The Roads in game are originally 2db file in CommonWorld.Bnk but once converted with TDUMT, there are DDS. When you open a the DDS file of roads, you have that:

    (r5_00.dds original Atari)

You can open and modify DDSs with Paint.NET, Adobe Photoshop, Artweaver and create new grass, road surfaces, billboards, plate numbers and so many other stuff in the game. But don't forget to convert your DDS back into 2DB file with TDUMT and make sure to backup any files your modifying !

3DG, 3DD : (Can't perfectly explain it my self) It's the file who support the original 3D Model of the car.

    2DM:

Wave: It's a Microsoft sound sample format who can last as many time possible. But in TDU, it have to be sample that last beetween half a sec to 10 sec. Most of these sample are inside "CAR"_audio.bnk in Bnk/Sound/Vehicules and makes the sound of the car. Most of the audio Bnks have 7 Wave sample. For making sound mods, The TDU sound format MUST BE in Microsoft ADPCM format, 44khz, 4 bit, mono. These file can be play Modify with Audacity, Gold Wave, Creative WaveStudio, etc...

tdupk: Or TDU Performance Pack. It's a file who contains values of a specific car like not to 60 mph acceleration, suspension rate, Gearbox ratios, Power, Nm, Engine displacment, wheelbase, etc... And can be open only by TDU Performance Editor.

    II. MAKING MODS

(TO BE DEVELOP, A LOT MORE EXPLAINED AND CLEAR. At the moment, I just link and quote. The community will improve all that ourself)

    a) TUTORIAL BY DJEY. ALL THE BASICS FOR TDU'S GENERAL MODDING AND THE BEST MODDING TOOL: TDUF

    b) SOUND MODS

    c) HUD

    d) IMPORTING CARS

Tools: Forza Studio for Forza Motorsport Models.
    ZModler
    Paint.NET, Photoshop, Artweaver...
For Tool's thread, don't pay too much attention for the size limit as Project Paradise Big Bnks option solved today that issue 🙂

This tutorial is understandable but way too fast. I've tried my self to import a car with this tutorial but you have to pause the video every 5sec... Oh well, you can manage doing a mod but it's a bit annoying to stop the video.
    e) MAKING ACCURATE PHYSICS

    First Download TDUPE
    > TDU Performance Editor 2.77
    > TDU Performance Editor 2.78

IMPORTANT: Open TDUPE, Click on Settings, Select the Locality to the same language of the game ! Once you've done that, again click settings, and set the Installation Directory to C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited. (Tested only with 2.77 -2.78)
MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE BEFORE MODIFYING ANY DATA !

It depends of how you want your car. If you want realistic physics based on a real car, I suggest you these website:
    > Automobiles Catalogues: Very complete datas of any sort of cars ! The best in my opinion.
    > Supercars.Net Not many data information but you can learn a lot about the car you want. Very complete list of cars.
    > Supercarsite.net: Another pretty good website
    > Google: Yes. This website too help a lot 😉 Jut search the car you want and pick the website you find interesting.
    > YouTube: Yes. This website is useful too for watching reviews and know more about your car.

    Usefull thread:

If you want physics on your own taste, bit of explanation:

    To Continue...

    III. INSTALL MODS INTO TDU

    a) TDU Modding Tools

Download it here first: TDUMT 1.16.2 by Djey

    b) TDU PERFORMANCE EDITOR

Download above in Making Accurate physics. Unzip your .Zip / .Rar somewhere.

To install a tdupk file, Select first the car you want to modify, Go to Performance Pack > Import Performance pack and then select the tdupk file you want to install. New data appears. Feel free to modify any of these data to your taste. Go to name editor. Click on Save once. If you see <Ressource not found>, enter your desire car name. Then click on save. Now your Murcielago is an Aventador 😉

    c) BNKS

    To Install
    > A car mod: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicles
    > Wheels: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicles\Rim\(MANUFACTURER OF THE REPLACED RIM)
    > Traffic Car: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicles\Traffic
    > A Sound mod: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Vehicles
    > A HUD gauge: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\FrontEnd\HiRes\gauges & C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\FrontEnd\LowRes\gauges
    > CommonWorld or CommonWorldDiv2: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Level\Hawaii
    > A Weather Mod: C:\Programes Files (x86)\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\FX

In December 2006 I treated myself to a new rig - a Striker Extreme MB with a 6800 CPU and dual 8800GTX cards in SLi connected to three monitors via a TripleHead2Go. I very much enjoyed TDU at 3840x1080 rez, always playing offline.
During family gatherings, as a fun activity, we would take turns to see who among us could rack up the most expensive ticket - I think the largest was around $250,000.00.
Later I was a beta-tester for TDU2. It had some features that I really liked. But over the years I would always come back to play on TDU more often than on TDU2. There's something about it.
During these years, I accumulated a very large collection of car mods for both games. Only a handful were not included in Platinum.
Recently I bequeathed the rig to my son, opting to make do with a Gazelle laptop and Intel 4000 graphics. I continued to play these games but the frame-rate was a trifle lower.
I waited eagerly for the appearance of both UCP and Platinum. That was a wait well worthwhile! I am now seventy-eight years young and I play TDU Platinum online with the Hawaiian Bliss environment, along with multiple profiles, and multiple custom license plates, both of which are choices in a batch file I use to start the game. TDU is now a fantastically enjoyable game thanks to all of your tireless effort and modifications. It is remarkable what your mod has done for a 13-year-old game.

    Sorry for being 'wordy', Milli.
I just wanted to say, 'Thank You!'

    FAQ:
Q: I sometimes get sudden and massive FPS drops!
A: Use the 4gb exes provided in the patches.

    Q: Is this online?
A: Yes. It requires Project Paradise to work, which is an online mod among other things.

Q: Can you add X car or change Z about Y car?
A: Nope! Milli isn't going to add any more cars to Platinum, and she didn't make any of the cars that are included. Adding them yourself isn't hard though, and there are several tutorials!

Q: Is there a way to haxor my way to max level?
A: Nope! Unless you use an uploaded max save, there is no way to cheat your way to max level.

Q: is there a way to haxor my monies to have unlimited funds?
A: Yes. There is one way. It involves Cheat Engine. Use Google 😉

    Q: Alt-Tabbing crashes TDU!
A: Alt-tabbing crashes TDU. Always has, always will. On Windows 10 you can get away with using the Start button on your keyboard to accomplish the same thing MOST OF THE TIME though. The only real solution is to run windowed mode and use external software to force it to fullscreen borderless.

Q: Controller keybinds and mapping questions!
A: Any Xinput controller will work out of the box with TDU. For non Xinput controllers you will need an emulation software. All keybinds will work, except the map. For complicated reasons, just use your mouse to navigate the map.

Q: Halp my game is borked!
A: Very descriptive. In all seriousness though most issues with Platinum can be solved by simply reinstalling the mod. It overwrites nearly all of TDU's core files, so the act of installing it from your original download can fix nearly any issue with the install. There is a video with install instructions and a download for the original TDU. Follow the steps in either the video or in the readme of the download and you should have zero issues.

Q: Halp my game is still borked after I did what you said!
A: Gonna need more information than "it's broken" in order to even attempt to help you. There is literally millions of potential reasons for a game to break seemingly without cause. Could be anything from drivers to unsupported resolutions.

    Hope that's helpful 😺

Specially each REF values that needs to be different from the original F430 wheels. Connect your added wheels to the slot. If you can't wait you can still do it following my video in my tutorial when I edit TDU_Rims.db and TDU_CarRims.db (not forgetting to resize the wheels in TDU_Rims.db), add the values in the Database (in TDUMT using the "DB ressources" app), change the values in TDU MT "Database" app. The video probably is only good for the rims where you don't risk too much.

    - Fixed engine type of BMW M4 F82.
    - Fixed and replaced some car sounds.
    - Reworked dealership lighting.
    - Re-ordered the days, so fog weather won't be displayed so often when you start the game.

I've been enjoying this mod so far, but one thing that bothered me slightly was the sounds of some cars, some re-used original Atari sounds and/or had inaccurate sounds. Since I had various sound mods released over the past 10 years in my HDD which are now long lost on the Internet, I took initiative upon myself to add unique sounds for most cars in the pack.
    What I did:

-Added new sounds for multiple cars (Including ones unlockable by tuning shop)
-Sounds for most cars are unique to themselves or ones with similar engine. (Example: VR6 engine cars)
-Matched sounds for cars that use the same engine (Example: E46 M3 and Wiesmann Roadster)
I hope it gets included in the next update, I'll upload the file for anyone who would like the file here
