I have to say that my 4870 feels honored by being put next to a GTX280 on a recommended specs list -> maybe that says that the game runs better on (equivalent) ATI cards than on (equivalent) Nvidia cards? I may be mistaken, but I always thought that the 4870 at best compared to the GTX260... Oh yeah, and for the 1st time in my life - my pc meets and beats the recommended specs of a game! :D

You misunderstood me... ;) I do NOT own a console, only a pc and when you submit your application you must 'say' that you own at least 1 console (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii or PS2). If you leave all of those options unchecked (as I did, because I don't own a console) you're told that there is a error with the application you are trying to submit. That is why I ended up 'lying' and saying that I own a PS2 just so that I could submit my beta tester application. Btw I use Firefox, not that it matters at all.:)

I've got a question... Do they assume that everybody owns at least 1 console? Because I don't and when I left the "tick which consoles you own" box open in the application it came back as an error. So I just said that I have a PS2, which I don't, but the game isn't in development for that platform so no harm done?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what exactly is an open beta? How does it differ from a closed beta and how does it differ from just releasing a demo?

Well it took a bit of time and there was a few hassles, but I am now finally a member! :) Why I'm here: I am extremely excited about the upcoming release of TDU 2 in the fourth quarter of the year and as a result I want to get my paws on every bit of info that is available about the upcoming ultimate cruising game! :D So, kind regards and see you all around! ;)
