  1. I was recently adding cars to my TDU collection when I noticed the Veyron didnt even have a W16 engine applied, but a V16. So I went to Modding Tools and changed the database by adding 2 engines (W16 and 5-cyl-inline). The game saids 'okay I can handle that lalalala' but the Performance Editor keeps crashing. Clearly he doesn't like real performance :cheeky:. Anyways, could someone please send me the DB file (which is in euro/bnk/database)? I don't know if it is allowed by the site rules, but hey I can try right? Thanks in advance!
  2. yup, that's a funny physics engine bug. The model on which the car was made on as a template or donor, was probably a low power car. It's the same when you modify the SSR to have 1000 bhp, it just revs up to 5000 and stays there. What you can do is either lower the bhp a bit to, say, 600 bhp and modify the acceleration and drag. Done that with mine and then it runs really good. If you want to keep the near 1000+ bhp, you'll need to adjust the inertia of the engine, mostly down but sometimes up. Experiment with that a bit, nothing can go wrong.
  3. The Doc is back! Great quality sound mod m8. It can even fit on the new Venom GT Comb@t made
  4. When you change something with different tools, they tend to break on each other for doing something the other can't... So I made a few extra engine specs, including 5-cyl inline and W16 (Audi TT and Veyron). Although TDU Modding Tools is a magnificent tool that can work on nearly anything, it cannot change all the physics, such as BHP and torque. So I was planning on jumping to TDUPE after this, though it didn't seem to like the new engine displacements... Now I'm kinda stuck, because I removed the entries from the enginedatabase in TDUMT. Though PE still won't start. Anything you guys know that can help me out?
  5. This is another epic mod of yours. Though I prefer Porsche above tuners, I really like this one (700 bhp ftw!)
  6. Quality keeps getting better and better. GJ m8!
  7. Brings back a lot of good GT3/4 memories ;) tnx!
  8. Since the CSR 260 that's already ingame is getting a little bit overwhelmed by all the newer high-poly cars, I was thinking of this newer version. It has a ton more power and sounds magnificent (Ariel Atom 500 competitor). I have no idea where to find a 3d model of this car. If there isn't one available in a game or internet, I would also be happy with the R500, which already has a sound mod here, but no model ;). Thanks in advance!
  9. I installed the physics on other cars, and they work. When I move the model over, it doesn't... That's the whole catch about it.
  10. Yes, that will fix it in some cases. However with this car (and the Veyron SS, Gallardo Superleggera and others) I can set it to 10, and even then it will hover at high revs. Main post edit: other info added.
  11. I've been modding and playing TDU for a few years now. Though it seems that I (and maybe even you) don't know all the secrets of TDU and modding... I discovered a minor issue with physics combining with models. Setting up your physics and installing models isn't really hard, however with this info it might become once again! Enough with the smart talk :p. This is the thing I found out: I wanted to have the Porsche Carrera GT in my game, so I downloaded TDUzoqqers EDO Carrera GT (put this one on the RUF Spyder because of the cabrio setup. I modified the physics to a realistic state and started the game. There I noticed that the rev meter when up really fast after about 4000 RPM. However, it did'nt go back to 1000, it just stayed at 5500 without any throttle used. So I tried the same physics on another model Carrera GT. I only changed the exterior to begin with. However, it have seemed to have fixed the revving problem. It went smoothly up and down, with the same physics as before. However, with the new exterior, the bonnet likes to go up when I roll down the windows (TDUzoqqer's interior does this apparently). The other part is (also model reliant) not revving to max rpm and losing power at high rpm. I once had Tool's Gallardo Superleggera. It was a wonderful car to drive, but the model was kinda outdated compared to the newer mods. So I noticed the beautiful version of Comb@t_$hotgun. His Superleggera (with spoiler) was at a far higher poly count than the older version of Tool. So I updated the model interior and exterior. The problem now is that it doesn't rev to maximum RPM (8200), it just stays exactly at around 8000 RPM. The other (and more annoying) part is that the car loses all its power at around 7800 RPM, it doesn't go harder. However, if I change gears, it flies on again (until I reach the problem RPM's). So my conclusion is: proper car/bike physics can only be made if the car modeller allows/creates this. I have no idea how this works or what the cause is. Only thing I know is that somehow the motor's compression rate is set by the model (which is rather stupid tbh xD). I'm sorry for the long post, though I really hope that all of the epic modders in this community read this and take a look at this (new?) info.
  12. wow this is really looking badass! Although I don't like the "dial-less" interior. Could you do a different version with analog speedo and rev meter?
  13. I suggest the Lotus_Exige cam. That one is almost dead center on the steering wheel. Unfortunately the game crashes when I use this car for 5 mins (don't know if it's the car or just my game ;p).
  14. haha! Actually a very nice idea. Though the black one...? Maybe make that with white letters.
  15. awww yeah you made the spoiler version, thus making my day! tnx dude!
