Knyazev TDU2: Universal Launcher

Good to hear that the project is going on. But I hope that the new one will not continue hacking DLC cars to be available in the game without purchasing them with real money, just like the patch here in the thread does. If it continues this way I will not use the new patch just as I refuse the old one. Hacking DLC cars is an absolutely no-go for me, and I think for many others too.

You're right Asg. ;) There are a couple of mods on the net, where the ads are modded or where the files are ready-made for changing the commonworld.bnk.

Last time I checked they where textures located in the commenworld.bnk? I'm not %100 sure but I think that's where they are located.

TDU2 VehiclePropertyEditor is updated to ver0.7.
 
Changes from previous version are as follows.
- The program changed; When the "Save/Exit" button is clicked in "Setting" page, program once finished, and restart itself with the new configuration.
- Brand name "Bristol ; code=58" It has been changed to be used as a "Porsche".
- When changing the name, was to display the number of characters available free space.

Installation:
Place TDU2VPE.EXE, iniLdr.exe, TDU2vPE_ini.xml and TDU2DBCarList.xml to a suitable folder after extract the zip.
Older version user, it is necessary to overwrite the TDU2VPE.exe and TDU2DBCarList.xml.
 
 
requirement:
- TDUdec.exe; This tool will change the db_data.cpr. Therefore, you must have tdudec.exe.
- Unpacked game files.
 
Usage;
- Before use, please specify the location of TestDrive2.exe and TDUdec.exe.
 
- Read Vehicle data:
In the section of "Taeget vehicle", select the Vehicle, to read the data by pressing the "Load" button.
The current value is displayed in the column "Setting".
 
- Edit a data:
Enter a new value to "Modify to" column.
 
- Apply new value to db_data.cpr:
Press the "Apply" button.
 
Note:
- To restore the db_data.cpr, open "Other command" in "Setting" page, there is a button to restore the DB.
Then restore all the settings back to the initial
- Approximately 500 characters are available for vehicle name change.
 
If you find a point to be improved, please let me know.
 
Known bug(s);
- If you change either of data of 370Z and 370z nismo, there is a bug that also affect the other data. The same phenomenon will occur even Spyker D8 and D12.
Only the above two sets of the above issues have been identified.
 
- Vehicle ID of Dodge Charger SRT8 is wrong. I will fix in the next release.
You will be able to fix it by yourself by changing the ID of the Dodge Charger SRT 8 to 321 from 377 in TDU2DBCarList.XML.

Just read my post some above your's, there I explained that you don't need to add extra dealers or extra slots to existing dealers. The slots that are availabe are enough to add so much cars that you run out of free garage space before you bought all of them.
 

How about updating the game with the original Atari launcher? ;)

I made a TDU2 startup utility.
Well, this is the same as batch files, but might be useful. :happyroll: Please use it if you like.
 
 
Feature:
- Automatic backup of your savegame before gamestart.
- Interface to the Knyazev's "TDU2 Universal Launcher".
- You can set 6 programs that be used at the same time as TDU2.
 
 
Installation:
Place TDU2Starter.exe and TDU2Starter.ini to a suitable folder after you extract the zip.
It is recommended to put in the same folder as TDU2.
 
 
Usage;
- Before use, please specify the location of TestDrive2.exe and TDU2_Universal_Launcher.exe.
- To start TDU2, just click "Start TDU2" button. The Game will start in a few socond.
After the game started, TDU2starter.exe is automatically terminated.

If you still have problems unpacking the steam-version of the game you can go another way. Install a piratecopy but use your legit steam-key during installation no cracked one. Then you update via Uplauncher until build16 v034. Then you copy the hole tdu2-folder elsewhere (leave the original installation untouched). Unpack the copied folder and then install TDU2UP. Important: You have to setup the Universal-Launcher then to the unpacked folder not the original installation.
