Hi, after reinstalling OS and the game+Platinum pack, applying profile from old installation i have found that Koenigsegg One lvl3 tuning has 4500hp figure, also in garage. I was trying to reset TDUF load the DB, find car #900 and modify values, no change. Also i have tried to import some of my car patch for other cars, Save the DB, but only one of the cars got its performance tuned. Others does not reflect TDUF modification.
I have event tried to use Program FIles and Documents TDU folder from my old install, but 4500hp figure (and relevant car behavior = undriveable) is still there in Koenigsegg One lvl3.
Any idea what to try please?

I am having problem with gear shifting when Vsync tickbox is not ticked in Project Paradise launcher. I mean radomly the gear not change and i have to hit the key for shifting up/down the gear one more time on my keyboard - i am having manual gearbox enabled in Options/Controls. It happen quite often, like maybe every 8th gear change and not only in one car. Happen both in HC and normal mode.
When i launch TDU1 with Vsync enabled/ticked in PP (Project paradise launcher), then the gear shifting works fine. Note that i am using Platinum patch 1.12
What about you? What patch you are using and does it happen for you with/without Vsync? Vsync appears to significantly decrease my game FPS so i was wanting to keep it off but apparently i can not due to gear shifting issue.

@Outcast For Life i think that the first post of this topic or the readme of the project paradise launcher has instruction how to go about gamespy. Make sure to keep backup of your profile (on Windows it is in Documents (all users or current user, i am not sure) from time to time (in case you are actively purchasing houses and cars or such).

Regarding opening ports, i am wondering if ports does not need to be opened in case i plug home ethernet WAN cable from router directly to my PC. I tried that, but had no luck, like 60% cars are laggy/no sound, not chat. Here is another description about opening ports and other TDU advises.

If you see the error regarding that dll google that and maybe try to uninstall your graphic card drivers from within device manager and then uninstall direct x (i think there is some official uninstaller if i am not wrong) then install "Snappy driver installer origin" application and reboot computer, root that snappy installer and update all drivers including graphics, reboot again. Maybe this is issue of direct x? Also another thing is to backup game, uninstall, install again using instructions on the firs tpage of this forum thread, plain without any hacks or upgrades. You can also check this Windows 10 TDU1 tutorial and consider installing Windows 7.

There appears to be function to isolate your group from rammers:
Use auxiliary menu while in the car (the one where is chronopack, driving aid and Free-Ride Players). "Go to Free-Ride Players and invite everyone you want into the group. When they're all linked to the group, select ISOLATE."
 
TDU server admin (unsure who it is) may not want to spend time judging which abuse report is valid, which not. He is not paid for that, and admin is possibly not active in the project, just keep it alive, that is what i think. I think it helps not to show being offended and do not be unpolite to poor rammers, they will only spend more time wasting your drive.

I loved the TDU1 races too very much, though thanks to online play we can race too, only people have to deal on race start and finish location.
 
Unfortunately i can not connect server in TDU1 and TDU2 even it worked before for me. Maybe server admins banned my IP, i even reinstalled OS and tried various IPs. If anyone is expert in this or own the TDU1 PP server, please kindly PM me. I would be very grateful

I think you should not enter e-mail and password. only username (it has to be correct, matching folder name in savegame folder) and tick the GameSpy tickbox, that should be all.

Hello, anyone played TDU1 via Project Paradise Launcher on Linux? I see TDU1 may be played via Wine, but not tried it, nor PP launcher.
Update: i tried it, here is tutorial. I had to create .iso image out of the game DVD and then use Furius ISO mount app to mount it. Install latest wine-stagging and directx (sudo apt-get install winehq-staging, winetricks playonlinux libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 libtxc-dxtn-s2tc:i386;winetricks directx9)
Install worked, game too. Savegame is in /home/mylinuxusername/Documents/Test Drive Unlimited/

@roodsta i would close all other apps, check projectparadise checkboxes once launched the app if are set to default, or backup the TDU data and reinstall it. Replace car data files by original ones maybe. Google can find [URL="http://forum.turboduck.net/threads/29275-how-to-re-install-tdu1-fresh-on-a-pc"]tutorials[/URL] on how to do that. Maybe someone know better how to fix that.

Firewall and similar IP blocking software can block connection.
I am using 1.66A version and make sure you launch project paradise .exe not original .exe (original will fail to connect)

So i wanted to ask if anyone else had issues (like too many lagging/no sound cars (unsure if named ghost cars)) and after did port forwarding ALL or most other online players started being no lagging? If so it would be very helpful if one can share which ports exactly to forward/how, or link to the tutorial. thx! PS: in my case more than half of the other player cars are lagging, no sound, no text messages. But i am grateful that TDU1 online play was resurrected. thx PS: regarding [B]SecuROM & Win.10[/B], i agree with BeSweet. I also used Acohol 52 to mount .iso image and it worked for me. Regarding TDU version, i have the one that is recommended in the first post of this thread (1.66A).

I second this. It can be on the Github or somewhere like that.

@Dragonforce these are ideas to fix the TDU can not connect issue: backup & uninstall tdu, install original game, install 1.66A patch, install PP, run PP's .exe file (not original .exe), try new profile (having backup of your original) if original does not work. Still connection issue? Close all apps and then firewall too and try to run again. Check Windows firewall to have only one single rule for TDU which allow the connectivity. i think that You should describe this situation in greater detail, like on which screen what do you see exactly and if offline profile works OK. If offline profile plays ok and online says "connecting" kind of message. It may be the issue with the internet, firewall (removing TDU from it, or adding it manually, temp. disabling antivirus, firewall - i know it is bad idea under some conditions) or you may try to use different internet - a VPN. For example protonmail.com has free one. Make sure that you have followed paradise launcher read-me file exactly to create valid online profile. Please mention how the issue was fixed if you will find the fix.

"loading screen" says exactly what or how it looks
"game launches but i can't load in" you mean the "loading screen"?
"broke something it seems" not happened to me, i killed/crashed the game many times and do not think it broken anything
"i dont have the update patches installed yet" - you should install all patches needed and not anything else out of stock game and platinum pack

if you mean other player driving it, maybe it means Your TDU (Program FIles / Atari / TDU / Euro / Bnk / Vehicules) is not aware about such car appearance, in another words they are using some non standard car, from different car pack like Natan mod?
 
QUESTION: Anyone knows the database number of the Koenigsegg One (mine car level3 tuning pack is 4500hp for some weird reason). Restoring Program FIles TDU folder and Documents / TDU folder not helped. TDUF car number 900 seems like that but i was unable to find number 4500 inside. Engine capacity in garage is 11000cc.

Weird user have to use VPN, i read that protonvpn.com have free service and it is reliable provider (i am using their mail and fan of this company), but i think better is to setup own VPN server because one can open port 8889 and connect more players properly.

@Holync Except what I have suggested in previous comment, you can also try VPN service, disable firewall and turn off other software that may influence traffic. Isn't paradise launcher having a checkbox for offline mode, if yes, then this should be disabled.

Project paradise allows online and servers are online, you should not block it in your firewall, rather check firewall, delete TDU/ProjectPP rules and let it be detected again upon game launch. You should launch paradise launcher .exe not original game exe. enable bigbnk, vsync
Your profile must not be created as offline. Else it should work. Always keep your profile backup! TDU can damage your profile (happened to me)
Profile is located in C:\Users\YOURUSERAMEHERE\Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame\
You can delete profile, if you are sure you want to do it.

@glenquidditch seems good except i have fx tweak OFF, not HD. Not sure if it can cause your issue.
Wrong kg/bhp value for FXX?
LaFerrari lvl3 weight/bhp is correct, but Enzo turned to FXX, and then FXX again full tuned shows possibly wrong value kg/bhp.
My FXX is 1100kg and 1103hp., which i bet should result in less than 1.0 value but it is 1.5.. in my garage, car data. Not that it is big problem, just saying.

If nothing works, try to uninstall your sound card drivers from a Device manager. Disable (autorun) and stop all non-windows background apps and restart computer, making sure apps are still stopped and you are not running any non default Windows apps. And try TDU online. If that not help, try to update audio/GPU drivers from Windows or using SDIO app (if WIndows drivers not fix it - use SDIO only for audio drivers because it may install non-working drivers instead of currently working ones). Restart likely needed. This whole suggestion may not work, but maybe worth trying if nothing helps.

Maybe your game is somehow modified from original and Platinum patch, you can also backup your profile and try under different profile, or try to apply Platinum pack folder again overwriting files.
