  1. same here. small workaround is Alt+Return to enable windowed mode first. And would suggest to anybody who had unpacked TDU2 put \Euro\Bnk\islands\ibiza\fx\game_weathers.xmb file to \Euro\Bnk\islands\hawai\fx\ and overwrite it. Besides that its removing the Blue fog, it also fixes the false random yellow and red blooming wich occures sometimes in far distances.
  2. Than there must be any other problem with your tdu2 installation ore you missed one file. try to disable any d3d overlay programms such as afterburner and xfire.

Ye The original Idea was to modify those Values in Ram By the "Hardcore enabler Tool" And if someone closes the Tool all Values will be reverted to original including the Physics "Hardcore" Setups. I know there must be the option to Lock All Races in Ram. Could be easily reversed by examining offline the online Races (wich are than locked). And use that Lock option on all Races.

  9. Good to hear that and thank's a lot but were at a good position with the current Tool. The Main Patching routine is ready and there are only small thing we have to change.
  10. News update: At first i want to say welcome to our new "TDU2 HC Creator" Team Member: -Xarlith -Veno -Trainfield -Jorgemodek The Tool for the Team is right now under heavy developtment. On Sunday i talked to a friend "dOs" and he showed me that hes working hard on it. So i decided to let him developt the HC creator team Tool. We are now in the Phase of thinking what has to be in the tool to build good setups. I will inform you if there are any news to it.
  11. It will be better, Tomsolo just replaces a Texture. This texture is only visible when doing burnout. I already changed the Drift Smoke to burnout smoke. And i am able to edit the look of the smoke. (not only texture) I am almost done with the tool and i want to release mod even for those who dont have extracted game files. They will need a tool. regards
  12. ye okay i dont use skype and havent in mind that type(chatting) is possible there. But that is also possible in TS and sharing files also. But i wanted to have a private platform for the team because, i can only talk 4 myself (i dont want to be online at specific times) I am a friend of doing things when i have time and fun to do so and i dont have much time. I dont want to make announcements in a public area for that specific Project. If its not possible here at turboduck i would create a new foum for that. But we will see how it goes, ill take a look at skype and how to create a room, such things. regards
  13. Hmm i think if u wanna talk to me you can join our TS Server but We will definetly need a Place for the Team. Not all are online at the same time and Talking like TS or Skype is not possible all the time. Better to have a place where all can inform others at any time. And by the way, that project will take long time and i dont think it depends if 2 or 3 weeks less anyway.
  14. @Xarlith & Veno Noticed, i will tell you my decision soon. @Jorgemodek Good to hear that, i would love to have your sound mods released ! @Diablo As i already said working hard on it to bring back the HC Mode to TDU Series Thinking of what Jorgemodek said, we will need a Place to talk to each other. Where i can publish my tool, tutorials and we (the Hardcore Team) can exchange our setups and Knowledge. Do you think it would be possible to have a special section here on turboduck forums where only we (the Team) have access to ?
  15. Ye to have new/old ones is a great idea. But would require a lot of action in zmodeler i think. Overall is the idea great to have TDU2 with a TDU1 feeling. Yesterday i did some resarch on the ambience sounds Birds/wind/citty and so on and i saw that TDU1 has stored them in a xmb file. I succesfully extracted it and noticed that they are 22 and with same names as in TDU2. So it would be easy to have the TDU1 Ambience sonds in TDU2. By the way, i created a new TDU2 Hardcore Thread here
  16. Recently a lot of people where asking me how far i am in progress of the TDU2 Hardcore Mod. So i decided to create a Thread where i will post my progress. Okay, Here we go! Description: Question: What is the H Mode? Answer: The Hardcore Mod i am working on is a physics/handling modification for expert Drivers and of course for those who wants to drift. Question: Why create one if there is already the driving aids "hardcore" option in the Game? Answer: Well the driving aids option "Hardcore" or "Ausgezeichnet" (how its called in German) is just the possibility to switch off the tractions control and is not challenging enough. Screenshots: Videos: Todo: -patch All Cars Physics (Progress) -patch a [H] in players names (Done) -switch off online races (Undetermined) -switch off offline races (Undetermined) -disable player vs player quick races (Undetermined) So there will be just the free roam driving left like it was in the first TDU. This project is total time consuming because every single cars physics behavior has to be edited. l am currently searching for people who wants to join the "H Mode creator Team" to help edit the physics for each individual car. Best would be those who know TDU1H mode and own a Racing wheel. (Racing Wheel is optional but at least Controller is a must have) And of course are real TDU series fans wich wants to spend spare time in fixing it. H Mode creator Team member will have acces to my H mode creator tool and Tutorials on how to do so.   17. To not make the same things twice is highly important. We have to stay in contact and talk on anything we do. Adding new cars and maybe make some of the existing cars traffic vehicles was also a thought of me. I already did a handling fix on the caterham super light to not bounce like a gelly ball after a jump. Thats one of the major bugs they did in dlc2 to a lot cars.
  18. The Effects are from the TDU2 ingame Photo effects option. I only added first version of my custom TDU2 HC Mod Logo wich i am currently designing.
  19. No problem. I just thought, why answer your pm if this conversation maybe could help others to solve their problems. Thats why i made the rar archiv a self extracting exe with installer. To make sure all files will be extracted properly. But never mind, i'm glad u figured it out. Enjoy it.
  20. I quoted a message wich was sent to me via PM. Please don't write PM's to me when there is a suitable Thread for it. Solution: SweetFX needs writing permissions to the TDU2 install Folder to create it's log file. -You have to make sure Testdrive2.exe runs as an administartor. -Universal Launcher has to be started from TDU2 install dir and as an administrator.
  21. Yes i can. Nope, not yet possible. Hmm, it is a lot work and if i redo the cars handling/physics i want it to be regonised. Maybe i'll do a TDU2pe tool for a few amount of people to let them fix the stock handling. That's true but its kinda annoying and i dont want to open Pandora's box for them. regards
  22. No, i build the H mode to have at least same max speed than default. But i would open up a new door for the cheaters if they know how and wich file to edit. @Jorgemodek That would be nice!
  23. I did a lot research on the vfx_car.bnk in the past 2 weeks. I now have a tool ready wich can replace the smoke texture in it without rebuilding the bnk. As you may know the minibnk manager fails on rebuilding it properly. There are also some .prt, .bfx and 2dm files in it. I figured out that the .prt file manages the look of the smoke. Resolution, Shape, how it appears and how it disappears. The .2dm file tells the game what texture to use, what color and such things. So i made a huge step yesterday in the smoke patcher mod. Now i can edit the look and feel of the smoke. Expect a cool new smoke feedback when drifting. Tool is almost finish, will be rdy soon. And sorry for the delay but the research on the vfx_car.bnk took a lot more time as i was expecting. But with those new knowledege i can build lot better smoke mod.
