Well thanks to Project Paradise my little modification now makes sense. For those who are old players who lost their savegame and want to play HC mode from the start, it's possible. Of course you still have to get some cash going, buy some cars and get some roads unlocked. For those who want to repeat the game in HC mode, it's also possible now since Project Paradise enables HC mode in SP races, so thank you speeder and lean. :D [HCx] mod | turboduck forum

About fuel consumption, I used to worry about it all the time but now I don't even bother, it automatically spawns you to the gas station and re-spawns you to where you once were (like say if you were cruising with a group). Sure you have to play catch up but it only happens like every 20-30 mins. A little less fuel consumption would be nice.

Exactly my point....but I must say you put it across better!
The UP has been awesome, and what would be even better is if it would continue

    TDU V0.03A changelog:

    ADDED:
    * Pearl Harbor gas station is now available!
*A Launcher is now provided with the game client (for easy options setup)
    *Offline mode (-offline): disable multiplayer
*Solo Races (-races): enable Solo races in Hardcore Mode
*Unlocked Settings for Windowed mode (-wx): unlock settings for the windowed mode (-w)

    FIXED:

    * Fuel Gauge visibility glitches (in pause menu, in game, in photomode)
    * Time Synchronization no longer take over custom time the player set in photomode
    * Updated HD/SD modes settings (less freeze and aggressive lightning ; should also fix the occasional map crash)
    * Updated map display function (players should be easier to see on map)
    * Non-active modes are now disabled (such as Multiplayer Lobby, Ebay...)

I think that's all (unless I forgot something )!

Please upload a crash dump if you still get that issue (located in Documents/Test Drive Unlimited).

Find your TDU shortcut, right click then go to properties. You'll see "target" which points to the testdriveunlimited.exe. Just add "-fuel" to the end of that. :)

    ---

Find your TDU shortcut, right click and select properties:

Once opened you'll be able to see "Target", which points to your TDU.exe. It'll say something like "C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\TestDriveUnlimited.exe".

At the end of that, after the quote mark, you just need to add your command line parameters like displayed above. I have added -fuel for working fuel gauge and -allmanual so that all vehicles use the H-Shifter on my G27. You can add any of the following:

-allmanual : all vehicles use h-shifter
-fuel : enables working fuel gauge
-hd : graphics tweaks for high-end computer
-hidewheel : hides the steering wheel and avatar
-sd : less intensive graphics tweaks
-vsync : enables vsync (set to 60fps)

And don't forget to click --> Apply <--

Maybe there is a chance to block this from TDU2 well known guy directly on the servers. Should be possible when someone from the comunity has control of the servers ;)

Guys, what about getting back to the topic? There are many other threads for replacing car and color discussions ;)

    @ djey & fakeblood
I played several hours within the last days and I didn't get even one single crash. Maybe the bug is in your installation.

TDU back online is next to the PC release date of GTA V the best damn news in the whole year :) Thanx a lot for that great project

One question: Is there an issue with adding friends? I tried that but it didn't work ingame. You can send a request, but nothing arrives.

Just read my post some above your's, there I explained that you don't need to add extra dealers or extra slots to existing dealers. The slots that are availabe are enough to add so much cars that you run out of free garage space before you bought all of them.

How about updating the game with the original Atari launcher? ;)

Not just 30, there are really much more.

Nobody needs to have the same cars available on both islands, so you can fill every dealer with different rides ;) There are 21 dealers on Ibiza and another 21 on Oahu. Every dealer has 8 slots, that makes 336 Slots available.
Until now we got 169 different rides in the game, including all license cars, all police cars, the club cars, DLC rides, duell cars, wreck cars, UP...
Without all the special stuff that can't be bought at dealers (just the rides you can buy in a showroom) there are only 123 left, including all DLC and Unofficial Patch.

All that calculated together there are 213 slots left in the showrooms where cars can be offered.

Only bad thing is that there are "only" 280 garage slots, so even when someone fills up all showroom slots with different vehicles without any doubles you run out of free garage space before you have bought all the rides.
So the question you have to ask first is how to add new houses instead of how to add new showrooms ;)

Really random question, but roughly how many free car spaces are there left in TDU2 for new vehicles? does anyone know, and is it possible to "add new dealers" to increase the amount of slots. I know this was obviously done in DLC2 with the bikes but that would require a map change which would be bad for online play, so would a "virtual" dealer work, like you go into an existing dealer and can press a button to go to a "back room" or something? don't know if that is even vaguely possible but I thought it was a cool idea!

You really have to install all the official updates before you do anything else with the game, that's really important. Without that the unpacker will not work as it should and the UP as well.

Try to do everything in that order:
    1. install the game
    2. install every available official Atari patch until the game is on version 034 build 16
    3. unpack the game
    4. install the Unofficial Patch
    5. copy your old savegame backup into your documents folder
    6. have fun with the patched game and your old savegame

That should do the trick :)

Donnie I was thinking about that while we cruised with bikes :D Indeed would be interesting to see if is possible..

Cruise a lot with lp570-4 and I am satisfied. Fixing co-driver, new wheels and other improvements will make a great carmod even better & enjoyable.

    for UP team

I will definitely drive it more when the co-driver-mode is fixed :)

    Edit:

Regarding co-driver-mode one question to the UP-team: Did you ever tried to activate the co-driver-mode on the original ingame-bikes? That would be cool if it's possible. :)

The "unlisted cars" are vehicles, that originally only were in the game as the name. But the list is very very old. Some of them were added within the original Atari DLC1 and DLC2 patches, some of them were added by the Unofficial Patch and some of them slots were used to add some cars of the Unofficial Patch, that were not listet there, e.g. Lambo Aventador, Camaro ZL1 or BAC Mono.

All what is left you can get on the "change-the-ID" way with Cheatengine or TSearch. But as said, there is nothing more in the game but the name, no car data, no 3D model, nothing. So the car will be a Lancia Delta with only the first gear driveable and a strange rim position in most cases. And you only can add them offline with an old game exe. When you get back online the Cheater Detected message will appear and change all of the added "Lancias" into pink Mustangs. So it's not recommendable to add these rides until the Unofficial Patch addes something with the car ID ;)
