1. I have to agree that this game isn't focused entirely on the competition part, so yes and no. The thing is, Develeopers today know exactly about the cheating issue and in most cases they fail epicly. But I stand to my point, whenever there are leaderboards in a game for players to compare their stats with others, the goal SHOULD be fair fighting. And as we know todays players are very likely to cheat -especially when mission are so badly coded that they get harder and harder to finish, it's up to the Devs either to re-balance gameplay or to get their hands on Anticheat. It's no secret that almost all cheat tool authors start with finding + manipulating values loaded within the RAM (doesn't even matter if it's a Racing Game or a FPS) and therefore it's just unbelieveable that 99% of all games have no protection (e.g. usage of ASLR or just implemented rolling code, additional scanning etc) which makes it so hard and require so much knowledge for those people so they will not succeed. Aside from the fact that players were able to reach max level in the first 2 days after the release. That is a huge fail from the Devs.
2. May I visit you and constantly punch you in the face for 15minutes? I mean, who cares about getting a face overhaul when you are still able to stand on your two feet... May I politely remind you that RACING GAMES are mostly all about competeing each other and even though the cars balancing is a bad joke in TheCrew (specced Ford Focus going 400kmh+ quite outperforming an Agera and an old Hotrod can go 500kmh+ on that Speedway...), it shouldn't get even worse than it is already. But your wishes are partly getting true -I've already seen screenshots of cheaters which proves this game has no real-time anticheat. Which also proves another thing: If they ban, they do it afterwards and thats the same old story as in all Testdrive and all NFS etc etc. If Ubi is (in terms of dealing with cheaters) as good as some players told me weeks before in TDU2, it won't become an issue at all. But if not, the game will suffer from the same destiny as TDU2 does. The game partly is still a beta and even though they paid for it (or at least I think everyone paid for the game), some kids are fooling around with the well-known tools, manipulating the stats with uber high scores. The funny thing is i know all of this and i still haven't put a single tire into the game, my DVDs are still sealed.
3. TDU2 PC Servers are still offline, just checked it some minutes ago.
4. You can apply racing techniques to ANY racing game and they will work. Different Handling/Cornering of the cars only requires another timing when it comes to braking into/before a corner.
5. 1. The unpacked game in the new folder is free of Steam control. 2. maybe your .NET already has an error or you did not set the path to the TDU2 unpacked folder? Open Unilauncher -> Tools -> Settings, then click the upper folder icon and navigate to the right folder where the unpacked game is in. ------------------ I discovered Bugs (or undocumented features?) from the patch. The Miami Mustang now doesn't reach 193kmh on tuning stage 4, it does 188kmh now and it rattles at the limiter (what it didn't do before the UP). And the Audi R8 5.2 coupe does not accelerate as fast as it did in the un-patched game. The R8 spyder is now accelerating faster. I measured the 5.2 coupe with around 4-4.1sec from 0 to 100kmh and it should do around 3.7 (values apply to tuning 4). General overall performance of this R8 became poor. And these are only 2 cars I came across. Don't get me wrong, the UP 0.4 is wonderful and I like it very much. but I'm still wondering how cars get affected in performance when only some other cars have been added?
6. Another thing I have now noticed is some failure in the new database. I don't know why it is -but the reprogramming also affected at least two other cars in terms of performance (I did not test all cars in the game, maybe some others show weird behavior too). I did some serious tests with other players who also have UP 0.4 and found out that it HAS to belong to the 'Huracan DB'. What I noticed is this= The Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M Spider now lacks performance. Non-tuned it reaches 296kmh only and with tuning 4 it does exactly 320kmh. For comparison, the normal spider does 329kmh respectively 351kmh (tuned). The second car is different. I will not publicly tell about it. mitkop81, you get a PM in a minute.
7. Hi, first post and straight a big THANK YOU for this lovely car. The car has its ups and downs. PRO It has a good quality and sound-wise I am using the Gallardo file it becomes real 4WD with the Chickenmod it has lots of grip, unlike most of the other cars in TDU2 the Data Sheet is almost 100% correct (except acceleration value) CONTRA while almost anything has been modded and is nicely done, the performance is just the Ascari KZ1. Which is baaaad. I did some serious testing against other cars on an open road Drag and got beaten by R35, Gallardo 570-4, Ruf rTurbo... the 0-100 time measured with cell phone stopwatch is around 3.3sec and I even tuned the car to stage 4 (where it says 3.04sec -exact Ascari value BTW). After it gets to 100kmh it seriously lacks power. The car really is a Beauty! -but definitely not competitive on the Ascari KZ1 base stats. Suggestion: If this car would be put on the McLaren MP4, it would be a perfect fit. The MP4 ingame accels in 3sec flat non-tuned. That is exactly what the Huracan does in real Life. The non-tuned MP4 does 329kmh ingame, the Huracan does 325kmh IRL. Anyway, good job, i love it even with its low power :nods:
