  1. Thanks - but where is that db_data.cpr file? I searched my TDU2 game folder and it's not in there. The vehicle editor folder has the original in its backup subfolder, but the root folder for the editor only has a db_data.dec file, no .cpr file.
  2. Does editing a car's properties such as grip create problems when in online mode? And if so, is it only for the car you edit or for all your cars? The reason I ask is that I can get online and drive with other players' cars in free mode but if I get invited to a "follow the leader" session or other private race/event I get a message that I cannot enter the session. I can make friends, join a club, and have been able to run an instant challenge a few times with another player. (I have never done any manual adjustments of IP port openings etc.)
  3. Servers up now for last week or so. I've noticed that if I alt-tab out of the online game and try to use a browser to get to a site it just does not work. I have to quit the game to restore connectivity. Is this normal? I am using the universal launcher 3.6 with the unofficial patch and Serenity, and I have modified a few cars using the car editor to adjust grip. I have not done anything manual to set up open ports or anything. i am wondering if this relates to the problem I have in not being able to connect when I get invited to session play (follow the leader, etc). Do these requests require a different port to be open that in my case is not accessible?
  4. I have Serenity pack installed. I am finding that when others online invite me to join a private session like a chase (or enter their house) I am getting the message "cannot join session". I can run with others in free run fine, chat with them, but can't get into private sessions even with those designated as friends. Is it this pack? Happens even when I am driving a totally standard unedited car from the original game. Could it be because I edited a few of my cars grip settings using the vehicle editor?
  5. I have this pack installed, works fine, but when I get invited to a challenge like a chase and I accept, I get a message that I cannot join. I am wondering is that is because of this mod? I was driving an unofficial (mod-added) car (GT500) at the time this happened IIRC. Or is it the community patch (although this seems unlikely)? The only other thing I have done is make a few alterations in the specs of a few cars with the vehicle property editor - but this happens even when I am driving an unedited car.
  6. Binbow, first thanks for all your work on this editor and it is great to see you are still developing and supporting it! I have been able to use this effectively to modify a few characteristics on one car but now I want to edit the Aston Martin DBS coupe Carbon Black edition that is used in the final gold challenge as its handling is ridiculous as shipped. However that car is not listed in the dropdown even when "all vehicles" are checked off. I tried editing the "plain" DBS coupe file but that did not effect the Black edition's handling. Is there any way I can mod that car? If not now, then in your next release possibly? Thanks.
  7. minor bug report: Using the M4 in the A4 class race series, the engine sound was missing in some but not all races. The sound is always present when free roaming outside of the racing though.
  8. Anyone with a modicum of sense is going to be concerned when some unknown process is using 25% of the cpu cycles for no apparent purpose. Good to hear it's just a bug.
  9. Universal Launcher - a warning A little off-topic but as this is the only active thread in this subforum, I thought I should let people know here, since anyone using this mod will have to be using the TDU2 Universal Launcher: Be aware that this launcher does NOT quit after the game is launched, even though the UI disappears the process is still running - AND it's using up a lot of CPU cycles in the background (about 25% of my 17-2600k's capacity according to task manager). Depending on your system this could impact game performance negatively. More importantly what is it doing? This seems like a major security threat although the launcher did not trigger any warnings when scanned for viruses or malware. Killing the process after you start your game has no negative effects on the game at all (at least in offline mode, I have not tested in online because the servers are down right now).
  10. Hi all, just acquired TDU2 on a Steam sale for a few bucks and that is what got me here (via Google of course). Admin request - I could not register with my desired username - could you change it back to what I wanted please - Devon (it's reported as available). Not sure why I was thought of a possible bot registration when I passed the image test.
