  1. Lol, I'm saying even though the custom paint shop can't replicate factory colors, these colors still have specific coordinates that show up every time you enter the custom shop. So, even though you lose the real color of the factory paint upon entering, you can still consistently apply whatever coordinates it defaults to in the custom shop. For example, if you have a car that has say only white, black and red factory paints, you can locally add a factory blue in an unused slot. This blue won't show up online, and if you bring it to the custom shop, the true color of the factory blue will disappear. However you can still apply whatever blue coordinates it defaults to, either plain or metallic. So essentially you're using a factory paint as a custom bookmark for the custom paint shop, so you don't have to keep manually painting cars every time you want a certain color. EDIT: This is the default "blue turquoise" paint of the 993, reapplied through the custom shop with the metallic option. I also did it twice to make sure the coordinates are consistent. These colors will never look as good as a factory paint, but sometimes they're not bad.
  2. That's a great guide. I had the big color image from somewhere, but never saw the folder with the paints on cars before. On a side note, even though these factory paints don't show up online when applied locally, I noticed that some of them still look pretty good when reapplied through the custom paint shop. So for cars with unused paint slots, factory paints can be locally added as sort of quick bookmark to apply various colors in the custom paint shop (which show up online).. haha.
  3. Raced the Clio against Milli...... she knows Ford Island.. lol.
  4. Never heard of anyone doing that. And there is no tool to make sense of the gibberish in the file.
  5. You wanted to disagree with modders "who steal from other games" being able to protect their works, which is a community guideline.
  6. Again, it was just a suggestion because you wanted to complain about how this place is run. I didn't demand you leave or anything. I don't really care what you do.
  7. I mentioned other communities because I figured if this is such a big deal for you to drag this topic back up, then maybe you would feel better if you were away from these things that are so bothersome. And I disagree with you thinking its okay to make judgement calls on others mods. Other modders may not see it that way, so it doesn't matter what you think. What they think is what matters. And if these "minor" things are such a bother, then making a full replacement is always an option. No one's stopping you. And of course you're free to have whatever opinion you want. Just like I'm free to point out why I think its wrong, lol.
  8. If you believe that, then I'd say your best bet is to go somewhere else that shares your views about how to maintain a healthy modding community. I believe what I said because it's proven to keep things running. I've seen other communities fall apart because of people who think they know better than everyone else and therefore can do whatever they want. (And coincidentally in every case I've witnessed, its always the best, most valuable contributors who get fed up and leave.) But in the end, each community gets to decide its own guidelines, not a single person or tiny minority. And, imo the successful ones should stick with what they're doing, despite any outside objections about how things "should" be. That's not beating around the bush, thats just how it is.
  9. I'd say either you have too many tracks in the folder, or there's something wrong with the encoding of those .mp3 files. They might not even be .mp3 files because sometimes audio files that aren't .mp3 get renamed as such, and a lot of music players will play them anyway so its not noticed. Also you have to add them to the .station file in \Euro\Bnk\Sound\Radio
  10. Got it, cut the Platinum related stuff. For now I'll wait and see if ppl repeatedly ask those. Don't want to bloat up the page. Also, earlier someone said setting multi-core cpu affinity to single core fixes frame drops, but I haven't tested it myself nor have I heard back from anyone else on that. But I added it anyway for now, since I saw it was included as a solution in the official readme included with the game, lol.
  11. Added stuff to the FAQ.. lmk if anythings wrong. Check it out here.
  12. Just the usual stuff everyone's watching atm. Saw Avengers: Endgame recently, and finishing up Game of Thrones. Also The Trip was indeed great.
  13. You know how to check your rank progress when you're in your house, right? It's under the info tab. Anyway, progress isn't so much about points as it is about completing tasks. You have to gold cup all the missions, buy 15 houses, buy 50 cars, buy 3 cars of certain brands, buy clothes, drive the whole map, and log 5k miles. Multiplayer tasks have been modded out, so you'll reach 100% completion and Ace rank if you just complete all the singleplayer tasks. On a side note, everything is buyable without having to grind missions if you buy cheap tuners for the races, and cheap houses and cheap cars to fulfill the progress requirements. I had well over $1 million left after buying all the essentials for Ace rank. Afterwards, you can just sell all the filler cars and clean out your garage.
