My brother had the flashing texture problem, all he did was lower the Hz.

Hammy, I think it'll run fine. You may need to play at 1024x768 and without AA, but other than that it'll be fine.

I can surely say, 60+ FPS, no. :P You might need 1.5GBs of RAM. The CPU meets the required, and the GPU should run fine. I would run the game without AA, and you will get 60FPS.

If you only have two memory slots, I would sell the 256 stick, so the 512 is cheaper. I'm not sure why you're getting a new motherboard. I've heard a 6600GT is very, very good. It can run FEAR on all max quality (except Soft Shadows), 1024x768 res at 60+ FPS.
