Rollin in an STi

man, its been a while since i posted here. some may remember me as 'Capn Wakka' or 'rollin in a WRX'. Im looking forward to go cruisin again in TDU2

i havent fired up TDU since the last car pack came out (just fired it up, D/L'ed the pack, bought the cars and put them in the garage, and that was it) out of what was announced, the A4 Touring Car is probably the only thing that is interesting me. otherwise, i might not even bother w/ this car pack and wait for the next DLC for FM2

i deleted the Sega Rally Demo after one race (of the two). i did not like the way the cars handle, or look (used the horribly drawn STi) (the headlights are totally WRONG!!!!) ....dont like it. not spending another $60 until PGR4 comes out

in the U.S., 80 M$Points is equivelant to $1. when buying online/via Marketplace Blade, i usually buy 5,000 @ a time ($62.50 USD) and that lasts me for quite awhile. And welcome to the XBL community. hope to see you on FM2 soon. :) (im usually running the B-class lobby's)

i went looking for one of those keyboards last week. i talked to a guy @ GameStop here in town, and the guy told me he talked with a REP from M$, saying that the keyboards were going to be shipped alogn with the Halo 3 consoles. i dunno if their out yet, but i was a lil dissapointed i couldnt get it last week. i'll have to check the store's website to see if their in...

im liking it, but it seems to take a little bit longer to load than the old layout. very nicely done. :)

it probably got delayed cuz of the programming. ive heard that Polyphony & whoever else is in the programming of GT5, is taking them close to or more than 120 days just to program ONE car. if PGR4 is in a similar boat (obviously not as big a boat), they want to get it right. heck FM2 was delayed by almost a year if i recall correctly. and there's still problems. lol

is that the new hideous looking '08 WRX's....

i agree also. i made an oath for myself. i will NEVER smoke a cig. not seeing my father was up to 2.5 packs a day. when i was still living @ home, i could hear him almost sounding like he was coughing up a lung. (i also hate his -explicit- guts, so i dont want to do whatever he does, which includes smoking) (.......i even told the guys i work with, that if & when he gets put in the ground, i wont be @ the funeral. then go later on @ night, w/ a sledgehammer.... if you catch my drift :D )

i like Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal. Bands like Metallica (of course), Pantera (RIP 'DimeBag'), SOAD, Tool, STATIC-X, Disturbed (the Genesis Cover is amazing), Godsmack, ShineDown, AudioSlave, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (i usally call it 'Rage Against the MACHINA as im still a big fan of FFX. lol), Stone Sour, SLIPKNOT (cant wait for their next album), and a bunch of others in that general spectrum of music that im forgetting.

i do not like the styling of that TKR. the front half looks TOO MUCH like the S7, and the rear is an almost EXACT take from the Zonda's. very original Barabus!

look good neil. there is a carbon fibre treatment thread over on Forza Central which really has helped me on a few cars myself. just wondering if you checked that out. but nice looking F430. (last car i gave the Carbon Fibre treatment to was the 908, in white. dont have any pics, as i still need to figure out how to get the vynils over the parts of the wheel fenders on the inside of the car)

i know here in the States, then the 2003 Z came out, only the manual-tranny versions had 300 hp, the Automatic's had 287. from 2006+, both versions have 300hp. maybe that is the difference. i dont know about in the game (i havent D/L'ed the pack yet, as im not home) but i think the '07 350Z is slightly better than the 2003 Fairlady Z ...but seeing as im a Subaru fan, i have hopes to see the '93-'97 Subaru SVX make it into FM2 (if i somehow come into money, the SVX would become a project car for myself. :) )

thats a great way to do it. the STi 05 and the S204's would be great, because the back-up lights are huge so the racers can see when u hit reverse. :) (though, i personally do not care for how they redesigned the taillights on the Subaru's into that pattern)

i have a Dodge Charger in my garage with the cop car theme from my home town. i dont have any pics of it yet, but it looks real good. (if i recall, Nipper might have seen it before) the only thing i added to the car, was the abbreviation for the State i live in next to the town name. (to give a better idea to where the car is from. :) ) Fm2 would be better if they had the Ford Crown Victoria, that way i can have the right car)

im playing Fm2 almost everyday (if i dont have any running around to do after work, ya know.) i fired up TDU friday night, to D/L the new car pack, and man was i shocked. i never realized the lower frame rate TDU has compared to FM2. the new cars look great, but i cant pull myself away from Fm2's multiplayer and paintshop. :D i bought NASCAR 08 as well, last tuesday, but havent played it since. lmao

i hope, when they release the full car list, they have the new Evo's/STi's. if not, i hope they'll be in a DLC, as the 2008 STi and Evo X will be out in the Fall here in the States. (i dont know what the 2008 STi is going to look like. though the Impreza, and WRX's look more like Kia's now. >.<)

i would probably use the same part of the Test Tracks like in the first Forza. there are some markings on the ground, but not sure if they are marked for a 1/4 mile drag. but a drag strip would be nice.

the closest track to me is Lime Rock raceway here in CT. but the closest NASCAR track would probably be Loudon. again, i wish i had money to take a vacation/to go to a race. but NASCAR 08 is good, outside a few downfalls (i mentioned them earlier in this thread).

Daytona is nice, though i have never been. :headbang: wish i had cash to take a vacation... anyways, i hope in an unlockable track is the infield course they use with the Rolex 24hr race. that would be a GREAT course to run.

i think the gear ratio's are set high for the fast speeds around Daytona. i know from watching NASCAR, when a driver wins the race, they can easily turn a nob on the Dash to adjust the brake bias all the way to the front (and during the race to help the car's handling) to easily do burnouts as a form of celebration for winning. a lot of drivers are doing it lately. but i know back in the last NASCAR title i played (NASCAR 2005 for the PS2) if i won at these 'Super Speedway' tracks, the rpms had to be near redline just to get the car to kick out to perform the burnouts/donuts. with those 'restrictor plates' i mentioned, it robs the engine of air into the intake, thus creating less horsepower, making them slow to accel. but get alot of the cars in line around Daytona or Talledega, and the group of cars can go well over 190mph. w/o the 'restrictor plate', the cars can easily go 230+mph on their own. but with the plate, with the lack of air, it takes them a while to get their momentum up to competative speeds. during those races where the plates are used, it takes a good 1 to 1.5 laps to get to full speed. i hope that answers why the cars feel like vacuum cleaners in the Demo
