  1. But do also remember: Everyone can think for themselves.

As Chris Rock said "F the movie, F the record, CRAZY!" about people wanting to know what the Columbine kids were listening to and what movie they were watching before they did what they did. "Whatever happend to crazy? Did we eliminate crazy from the dictionary?"

Main issues are: Friends and parents. Those two are the ones who influence you the most.

  2. I'm glad ya'll took this thread the right way and didn't feel offended. I know there are a lot of cocky people from Sweden over the internet too. In fact, I don't play a lot with swedish people because of their behaivor. Constantly wanting to discuss things even though they can't and such, it's just annoying.

It's true what they say, there are bad people in every culture. I guess I'm unfortune enough to have met too many bad Brittish people.

  3. Hello!

I've been playing TDU since last Monday and I've been having a great time with all kinds of people who are nice and such. The game is a blast playing online, especially after I got hardcore mode, sometimes I find guys who also have hardcore mode and is into drifting and we go drifting together without even knowing eachother.

    That's just great!

Now before you go all crazy over the attitude, I'm not pushing every Brit over the same edge, no no, I met this other Brit who I now got on my friendlist and we drifted some today etc. he was really calm and relaxed guy.

So, as I was saying, I really enjoy the community, but how come that there are ONLY Brittish guys who are being total assholes? I'm not the ignore type of guy, so I usually stay at the same spot drifting around as usual and listening to their insults about my accent and etc. Though I do not try to escalade the whole situation, usually I just sit and listen, maybe laugh about it too, or tell them off. But I'm never getting aggrevated over it.

Every single fella I met at TDU has been nice, bust most Brits I've met has been total assholes.

Like this one day I was racing around the Oahu Raceway in a green Camaro, and there were like four-five Brits doing some laps at the track by motorbikes, since my car was a lot slower I tried to let them pass all the time. But this one guy among the group of Brits was laggy, and I never see him crash into me, but he used some very vulgare language swearing over my green car.

He basically told me to F-off and told his friend's how f-ing annoyed he was by my f-ing green car.

But I didn't mind him and just continued to drive around the track. But these Brits stopped at the last turn all the time, and my green Camaro had a hard time trying to steer away from four bikes that were parked all over the road.

And everytime I went pass them, they begun racing again, and everytime they begun racing, they caught up on me, and everytime the caught up on me, this guy sweared all about me all the time.

Eventually I had enough when he said "This f-ing green car is all over the track and can't f-ing drive" and told him "Shut up, I can drive" in a rather ironic and friendly way. (Yes, it's true)

That's when he went overboard and just threw insult after insult at me telling me to f-off and get off the track. I told him to simply calm down and I'm just here to have a good time.

    What's up with that?

Today I met a Brit in a Saleen who constantly crashed into me. Then he asked me something like "Do you know how to do the eight trick?" or something, but I couldn't understand at first what he was saying, not because of language issues, but because it sounded like he breathed into the mic as he was talking.

I told him I didn't know what he was saying, eventually a friend of him came up and he asked his friend the same thing. His friend showed him how to do it, so I thought "oh, I might as well go check it out, because I wanna know what it was all about", so I went to the big turn at Oahu raceway and this Saleen guy started to ram into me. I told him to quit it but he immidiatly turned out to be a real a$$.

He complained at my accent and such, tried to insult me with "your mother" jokes and called me a "German". Well, I thought it all was pretty silly, so I didn't get aggrevated at all. Though I did talk to both of them, but they were both arrogant and insultive all the time.

Eventually I left because my dad was going to watch Formula 1.

Now I'm sitting here and is pretty darn tired of the attitude problems among all of the Brits (except a few) that I've met on TDU. These were only two examples, I've had about four occasions when this happend, and everytime there have been more than one Brit.

Also, I'm not a person who pushes everyone over the same edge because something one person does. So if there is any Brittish fella on this forum which I take for granted - don't be offended, if you're not one of these guys, then you're fine and I'll be glad to drift or just cruise with ya one day!

Anyone else had problems with these type of people?

PS. I know "ignoring" is the solution to most thing on the internet. So no need to tell me!

  4. the easiest way to join friends is to make sure you have them on your friends list ... go to the map, go to the player map, then filter on friends ... it's the bottom option.

    this normally works pretty well

if they have an N/A next to their name on the map screen it's because ...

    1. they're in a race/event of some type

    2. they're in a building (house/dealer/tuner/shop/club/etc)

    3. the server they are on already has 8 people

    4. I think that's it

If it doesn't say N/A next to their name you should be ok ... however there are exceptions

    1. if they're doing over 180mph it sometimes has trouble connecting to them as their location is changing quite rapidly.

    2. if you need to warp/jump a long distance ... I've had the issue where you rejoin the 'world' you can't see your friends and then it locks ... to get round this jump to somewhere close and then do a second jump to their exact position.

Oh and picking a 'quiet' location to meet is always a good idea too ... so avoid the main city and the race track ... they can be a pain ... and on the rare occasion that new download packs come out avoid meeting at the dealerships

Sorry if this is explained in the video ... but this is the tried and tested technique ...

Most of this was explained in the movie, except the N/A thing, maybe we had a problem with that, but I doubt it though. Well, we'll keep trying to get a hang of it though.

Oh and once you're in the same server 'lock-on' to each other ... (left a few times on the 'D'-pad, then down to their ID, then right (I think) to select lock) ... oh and if you return to the map you lose connection with the people you were locked to

ya, I know about the lock-on feature! It was pretty neat. Though if as you say, you lose the connection to the guy you're locked on to by returning to the map, also, if you're going into a checkpoing e.g. dealership, so you're pretty much forced to DRIVE everywhere and not teleport.

As Nodz says ... quite a few people have shifted to Forza2 and are playing it till they are blue in the face ... i hold my hand up as being one of them ... HOWEVER I will still be on TDU every now and then as there is only so much circuit racing and car painting my brain can handle (Note to Nipper I'm not including drifting as I haven't learnt how to yet!).

Ya, ya... Forza Forza! I tried the demo, I guess it was OK... well, demos usually aren't very fair to the game in quesiton so.

Organised cruises haven't happened for a while ... normally just happen to some extent (when they do)

But here's a suggestion ... why don't you organise a Noob cruise? (I'm guessing you're still newish to this game ... no offence meant if you're not). Create a thread, mention a time (in GMT) and date, give it a subject, suggest what sort of cars to drive (e.g. all Mutangs) and put a list of 8 spaces (obviously with the first one being yourself).

Oh and if you do it might be worth adding the relevant people to friends lists so it's easier to find on the map

    Have Fun, Hybrid

"Noob cruise", hey! I'm not new. :-P It's alright though. I've been playing the game for a while, I'm champion and has done most of the challenges. I'm pretty new to this online thing though, got Xbox live this Monday, so yea.

I'm pretty good at organizing stuff, I'm playing SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer) and I'm organizing a lot of cruises and stuff on the server I play on, so I know what's it's all about. However, organizing takes pretty much energy out of you and you have to plan a lot, I guess a simple cruise isn't so hard to organize with only a few people, but a big even is... yeah, energy-draining.

    Thanks for your reply.

  5. Hello everyone!

So, the first question is pretty simple:

Are there are cruises comming up soon? I've been playing on live for a bit but no one seem to be into cruising that much with a stranger like me.

    Second question:

I've tried this method to be able to free-roam with a friend of mine, but in the video, he says that it works 99% of the time. We had to re-do it a lot of times to get it to work.

What I'm talking about if you haven't pressed on the link is the gameserver issue when wanting to free-roam with friends, you'll end up on diffrent TDU servers and therefor you can't see eachother.

So when you guys have a big cruise or something, how do you do to see eachother?

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Hello!

This is an easy-to-follow tutorial how to earn plenty of cash in a decent time. I'm sure there are better ways out there which is also funnier.

The first thing you need is to locate Speed challenge 24 on THIS MAP. Speed challenge 24 is at E/F-5. (almost on the line between E and F)

Then pick a decent car, I used Mercedes Benz McLaeren the last time and it did this challenge very fast.

When you've picked a decent car, then join the race and in the beginning of the race, do a 180 degree turn so you're going the reverse way and then floor it, once you've reached the speed you need (180MPH) then retry the race again when you've recieved the money. (Press Y)

You can now do this a couple of time, either until you got the money you need or until you're bored out of it and just feels like stabbing me to death because of this tutorial.

    Summary:

    1. Go to speed challenge #24 (180MPH in heavy traffic)

    2. Get a decent car

    3. Turn 180 degrees in the start

    4. Floor it

    5. Recieve money & retry it a couple of times.

    Good luck!

  7. My memory fails me of when you get access to the Ford island.

Where is it? Look at the map and the harbor area in the south-west of the Hawaii island, then there's an island in the middle of the harbor and a long bridge to the island, THAT's the Ford island.

Ford island is a great place. I enjoy driving there more than I do enjoy driving at the Oahu raceway.

    Update:

Are there any proper race facilities available?

Yes, once you've reached rank 'pro' you unlock 'ford island racetrack' which is more like a road than a track, then when you rank up to 'champion' you unlock 'oahu raceway' a fully fledged racetrack.

And look at this map and look at G-7! That's the island.
