  1. Sorry buddy, but I am going to have to pull out of the Gumball. My video card is an Nvidia 7900 GT and I have just been bitten by the bad voltage regulator bug. It started around the time the patch came out and has been getting worse since. I fired up TDU tonight to practice and realized that finally the game has become unplayable. I don't expect to get my card back from the manufacturer in time for the event. Thanks for the hard work, I am upset that I won't be able to participate. BubHwld.
  2. Hello all, Maybe I am just not having a good time of it but I turned off ingame voice a long time ago and have never turned it back on. That being said, I am wondering if there is a TeamSpeak or Ventrillo server that is always up where people join in and can chat while they drive? This came to mind with the upcoming Gumball Rally that IcedBullet is putting together. It will be cool to use it for that event, but then I thought why should it be restricted to just that event. Then I thought, this has to be in place already. So anyone have any details of a server that is always up for us TDU folks?
  3. Great job putting this together Iced. Thanks. Day1 - Ferrari F430 Spider - S3 Day2 - TVR Sagaris - S3 Ingame - BubHwld
  4. The interesting thing is that the real gumball doesn't have points, BUT they do have to watch out for the law, deal with breakdowns, etc. I voted no points in line with the real GB, but I understand why some may want to have them.
  5. That is a fantastic idea Baltoman.
  6. Ummmm, yeah.. I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you on that one. - Bill Lumberg :)
  7. I know I already put in my two... But here are a couple more... 1 - Enahanced Video mode. The ability to remove HUD, and have different camera angles. Also to free move the camera around (freecam). This is to allow people to make a video a'la the Top Gear videos. 2 - Deploy an SDK with the software so that people can develop modifications for single player, and also develop maps that can be distributed for use either in single or mutliplayer (i.e. have them either replace a portion of the existing map, or add onto the region). This would be an excellent way for people to fill in some of the unused terrain. 3 - (okay I know you only wanted 2, but this came to me as I was typing the ones above, I am such a rebel) - The ability to search friends and invite them to a server session so that you dont have to use the ingame session matching server. Perhaps even have the ability to rent a portion of a server for a certain amount of time (a virtual instance of the world, since I am pretty sure that they currently use several virtual instances instead of a physical server for each 8 people). Or even better, the ability to rent your own server that you could load with whatever mods you wanted. A'la Counterstrike and Battlefield. These would be used for free-roam modes and mods and wouldn't tie back into the ranking, or money system on the production servers to avoid cheating and stat padding. This would allow some money for continued support of the community.

    WTF?

I play mostly in HC mode. Went back to regular (even with all assists off) and I felt like a superstar driver. Certainly makes it much easier.
  9. Hello all, Well I followed a link from the Europe Atari forums (I am in NA, but I like the layout better than the NA Atari forums) where they said that a list of all the ideas for improving TDU was being put together over here by Diablo. Being a fan of the game and wanting to see it do so well in it's next iteration (and being a little selfish, cause it is what I would like to see - hehehe) I followed the link and here I am. I bought TDU for PC back in May 2007 from Direct2Drive, loaded it up and fell in love. Got to Champion level, had all the usual complaints that everyone did about cheating and not being able to get to 100%, but I am not too concerned, I just love cruising. After the patch I stopped playing for a while (was getting some graphical problems and the sound bug that everyone knows about). A couple weeks ago, was bored and decided not to let my beautiful G25 go to waste so I fired it back up and fell in love all over again. The sound issues bother me still, but the graphical problems I can pretty much ignore - just slightly annoying. Anyhow, I tried many other free-roam games and track drive games, but nothing just hits me right like TDU. I hope that the developers throw another version out there. I hope that they can fix some of the things that went wrong last time, and maybe even put some more cool stuff in for us. I was hoping for another patch or even cost based expansion packs, but I guess that is not to be. Favorite Car in game is my Ferrari F430 Spider Stage 3. I also like some of the older muscle cars for the deep rumbly voices they have. I like to cruise, just chill out and enjoy myself. Sometimes I can open it up, but then usually crash pretty quickly - especially since I usually play Hardcore mode lately. So, probably too much about me already. Thanks for welcoming me to the community and look forward to sharing ideas with likeminded TDU fanatics.
  10. My wishlist - More detailed trip computers... With ability to save details (i.e. instant MPG, Average MPG, Top Speed, Average Speed, etc...) - Ability to share customizations. I.E. someone makes a car customization through painting it and tuning it in an external editor, or even in game and they can sell (for TDU ingame bucks) their creation. Saleen, Roushe... How about YOUR NAME HERE! Love all the ideas thusfar... Plus just to expand on a couple points earlier... - Weather... This should be able to be selected when you are searching (as I understand TDU doesn't run on a big server, but on several different ones) when you select if you want random or whatever weather, it would just restrict which server it puts you on. - Cops and Robbers... I would love the ability to drive as the police, also to have radar traps (go into 1st person and point a radar gun out the window) and also full out high speed pursuits with multiple units all together over VOIP.
