when I play, 90% of cars are simply invisible. I feel like I've tried every possible combination of installation methods, even using different patches and fixes. Nothing seems to work. It also keeps cars from loading in on most races so I can't even start the race. I'm not sure what I've done wrong, but I even tried completely wiping my guest PC and installing the mods on there exactly as the instructions say and I still can't get it to work. I have everything from DirectX9 to MS Redistributables installed and I am having no luck, despite spending multiple days on attempting every combination I can think of with online sources. Please, if anyone knows the exact process of what I'm supposed to do I would greatly appreciate them sharing it.

Does the game work correctly for you before installing the Platinum mod?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but this gives you rumble (kinda)

    https://github.com/samuelgr/Xidi

It vibrates the controller akin to how the FFB on the wheel works, so it's not really how you "expect" it to be. The question then becomes if we can remap how FFB works in the game to a more "traditional" controller style (e.g., wheel slip/road surface/bumps). Also enables you to use brake and gas at the same time if you have the triggers mapped.

Would Xidi be used in conjunction with or instead of something like https://github.com/briankendall/xboxToVJoy  paired with  https://www.vjoy.org/download-for-windows

""Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" allows your controller (gamepad, joystick, wheel, etc.) to function as an Xbox 360 controller. For example, it lets you play games such as "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) or "Mafia II" using a Logitech Wheel."

Seems to be solving the opposite problem.  Most PC players have Xbox controllers these days but TDU1 was released before they were ubiquitous.  More information:  https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2265-xinput-plus-v415290/

Converting from XInput (Xbox controllers) to Direct Input (older standard) will probably work out better.  Here is one option:  https://github.com/briankendall/xboxToVJoy  paired with  https://www.vjoy.org/download-for-windows

Does this TDU2 Official 'DLC2 v034' Update mean we don't need the TDU2: Unofficial Patch v0.4.1 and Large Address Aware Patch anymore?  Or de we still need those?

They are generally still recommended as they were released after the last official patch to resolve known issues.

  5. Yeah it's a valid point and I was thinking something similar recently with driving games where the time will come when older vehicle with fewer aids and less weight will be more desirable than their modern counterparts for those looking for a sim or hardcore experience.
