    Aren't these designed for tradesmen who also have families? Not pure family 'people mover' cars. They're growing in popularity down here (not quite as ridiculously large as American trucks though).

    Do you play with a keyboard? Perhaps you just watched someone playing with a steering wheel + pedals or a gamepad with trigger where they can press the pedal/trigger 10% to accelerate slowly.

    You post which of my songs was better and people either like your post or mine. Then the 3rd post by someone else contains songs. It's only complicated like this because of the auto post merging function. Additionally anyone can post comments about any previous song battle anyway. Whenever I see Lady Gaga I wonder if that's the reason Sia never shows her face. Born to run has better chord progressions but the vocals are a bit slurry and yell-y. So I'll give the win to the newer one only because of the energetic beat. And erm I don't like either of Der Compensaters songs. :leaves: Here's two more for you, one potentially made famous by TopGear It's not that hard to think of similar songs, Mike (I find it helps if you think of an old one first).

    Simple thread this be, it just requires a somewhat equal appreciation of both older and new music. Post two vaguely related songs that are no less than 15 years apart in age. Next person posts which song they think is better. If you agree with them, like their post. If you disagree with them, like the previous post (containing the songs). Someone else can then post two songs and repeat the cycle. We can keep update a weekly tally of old v new wins in the OP.     Well I can turn the tune off, but I can't hide the larger intercooler. :) Thanks for the info. It's worth noting many stock cars with this engine have also had the same issue.

    103,000 kms I've got two people looking for engines but I don't think any are available just atm. Typically someone else would have to crash their car.

    Somewhere between 3000-5000 probably. I can either rebuild it or replace it with a second hand one (if found). Replacing is marginally cheaper but not the best long term solution. Looking to see if I can convince a dealer to accept is as trade in (at a much lower value obviously) if I spend more on one of their cars instead of looking for something cheaper privately (I cbb selling mine privately any more). I have told the dealer principal that I've influenced family + friends to buy Golf's, some from his dealership. He seemed nice enough and asked me to bring it in for their own diagnosis but I reckon he's more curious to check it out rather than be of great assistance to me. Some have had 'good will' repairs performed for this common issue at reduced cost (free parts, pay for labour). The best financial outcome I can imagine is pushing for a ~$1800 good will repair then sell privately for a low ball price. We've got a 'spare' Mk4 Golf 1.6 Manual in the driveway I can use (my sister used to own it before buying her Mk7) + I've got the motorbike. Thanks for the bro hug.

    The mighty twincharged golf needs an engine rebuild. Lost compression in two cylinders, likely piston ring land failure. Didn't sell it quickly enough (not that I want it to be someone else's problem).
