  1. I get the feeling that you'll only see pedestrians when the cars are not moving...

    i.e.

    ...Before a race starts

...At a club or car dealer or other shop

Otherwise lag could be an issue. Since pedestrians don't move at 400kph (although I shudder to think of the hacks that could be made to change this) you can have more of them (32). I'm guessing that's the reasoning being done at Eden.

And that too, pedestrians can't be run over by stationary cars (just don't forget to pull the handbrake). :)

  2. Pick another name, someone else already has the one you tried to use. If you were previously using a NoDVD program to play the game, you need to delete it and use the original executable file that was installed by the 1.66a patch. If you did not keep a backup of this file, then you need to uninstall the game, reboot Windows, and install it again.

  3. Click the Start Menu, and paste the following in the Search box (then press Enter):

    C:\ProgramData\Test Drive Unlimited

Delete the CDKey.txt file and then start the game again. You will now be prompted for the new key. You MUST use the game DVD to play online (unless purchased from one of Atari's online stores).

  4. The number of Modding forums/subforums can be confusing, especially when I'm looking for Leadfoot's COTM threads.

It would be great if by default the list of Vehicle Mods could be sorted by their release date instead of by the date of the last comment. It would also be cool if various car mods (vehicle models, interior, HUD, sounds, etc) could somehow be grouped together. Maybe the modders can get together to come up with some ideas and Diablo assist where required?

  5. No it isn't. The big difference is that there are no separate online or offline profiles. You sign into the same profile irrespective of your connection status. If you have a connection, you can access the online features, if not, you'll only have access to the single player stuff.

That said, I'm willing to bet that you'll need to be online to get 100% game completion like in TDU1.

  6. I'm pretty sure they all spied on me before Diablo surprised me with the invite anyway. Being somewhat inactive probably wasn't such a bad thing. :)

Just noticed this in the chatbox from yesterday... who says Diablo is secretive? :)

Right I'm going to crash. Baldy' date=' Melman if you know who comes on while you're on you can make them a you know what if you know who says you know what to the question you know who was asked. [/quote']
