  1. This game is awesome - I've put over 70 hours into it so far, and made my first mod just minutes after they released the editor. Game of the year for sure.
  2. Of course, but so is modding TDU.
  3. There is no problem discussing things that breach EULA on these forums, however using a no-cd patch is illegal, and there is certainly a problem discussing that here.
  4. It's not HDR if you're just going from the same starter shot :p But how does PMing you for a code work - have you bought a batch load or something?
  5. That's not macro :p

  7. Nasty. Ice is no fun with normal tyres.
  8. This is silly. If they want to cut costs in Rally then just go back to roots - make them use road cars.
  9. 3 critical security flaws for Firefox have been found at the same time: http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2008/mfsa2008-69.html http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2008/mfsa2008-68.html http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2008/mfsa2008-60.html So just as MS have already patched the flaw in IE, firefox users need to patch ASAP as well. And mac owners.. don't be smug either - Apple just released a bunch of security and bug fixes as well: http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_6_Combo_Update
  10. But it's just not Test Drive! :p I mean, volvo.. come on! Personally I would rather they kept to the spirit of Test Drive and offered fewer, more exotic cars - get that really polished and distinctive rather than try to offer so many different types of cars that they can't spend as much time getting each one right.
  11. You're kidding?! :p I bought test drive to drive fantasy cars, not your every day common car :p
  12. And enough peroxide to power red bull for a season! :p
  13. Heh it's not really a strategy game (though it has some elements of one) - it's X3:Reunion.
  14. No, that's actually quite simple. hehe that's part of the fun, guessing which game screenshots come from :p I'll give you a clue, it actually came out way back in 2005 :)
  15. You try making a game! Eh? What are you talking about? They haven't set any dates back.
  16. Yes it does.
  17. Yup. And now for probably one of the most complex games in history: -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  18. Probably best to start your own thread (though a mod can split these posts off if they want to). Why do you need an nVidia card specifically? There's nothing wrong with them, but you could be cutting your choices down if you mandate that. Performance wise you'll be more than happy with anything from the 4830 upwards by ATI, or the 8800GT upwards by nVidia. Best deal I could find was this 9800GT at £92 : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/512MB-Palit-9800-GT-PCI-E-20-(x16)-1800MHz-GDDR3-GPU-600MHz-112-Cores-2xDL-DVI-I-HDTV Though you could get away with a slower card certainly (what resolution are you playing at?). In some ways your needs are best served by the last generation of mid-high ranged cards, which are hard to find new - I would honestly be tempted to grab a bargain 8800GT from ebay if I were you.
  19. Some of those shots look great, Iced. Especially like the explosion one
  20. Yup, nearly there :) You can save another £10 by getting this otherwise identical graphics card: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146705 You'll be fine whatever hard drive you choose - they're all pretty good. Maxtor are Seagate's budget brand these days, but that's OK. Western Digital and Samsung are also very good. Don't forget DVD player if you don't already have one. Yeah, for that reason 64bit is a good choice. Driver support is practically there - it's mostly old games that have the problem these days. 64bit is a bit more annoying to work with in terms of more stringent driver checking etc. but the performance and stability are better than 32bit.
  21. Unless you have a retail copy of XP to put on there in the first place then you want to make sure to get Vista proper, not the upgrade package. Video card ram is a bit like system ram, but is used to hold all the texture information etc. 512mb is loads and more than enough for most purposes - especially on an ATI card which is more efficient.
  22. Ow! -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  23. You own the bit of plastic that they've used to transfer the software to you, that's fine. But you don't own any rights to the software contained on that media, and hence you can only use it in accordance with the EULA that you agreed to when you installed the game.
  24. Yes, afraid so. (And technically you don't fully own the game - if that were the case you could decide to make copies and sell them yourself - you only own a license to use the software in the manner described in the EULA. The publishers retain ownership of the actual software.)
  25. Hehe there's lots of things he could do to make it cheaper - so much so that he could even afford a nice CPU and still come in cheaper.. but building a PC isn't always about what is objectively best or best value, instead what you most like yourself, because you're the one that's going to be using it :)
