  1. In the same vain, as much as I love my luxobarges such as the RR Phantom, Bentley Flying Spurs and the early 2000's Maybachs... The rest of my choices are very much that of the Sharps I guess.
  2. I never saw news of it till the other day! Man I'm behind these days! I'm not 100% to think of it, Hong Kong doesn't exactly set me alight as a location. My first thought's is of course of a massive city. Of course, outside the city there is a lot of nice countryside! Size wise, not as 'small' as I thought, area is 1,106Km2, it's just under 2 Ibiza's! I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't set me alight. When I think Hawaii I think tropical paradise, when I think Ibiza I think summer holiday & partying, when I think Hong Kong I think...a urban environment and Government unrest. Still going to keep an eye out for it, but can't see myself rushing to buy it.
  3. Never saw what side the drivers were on, but as we know games will often just use LHD as if the modules are reused it's easyer, less people will moan if a car is LHD rather than RHD let's be honest! I never knew the sizes of the Forza maps, they've always seemed tiny to me but that's because you can just aim in any direction, hit the throttle and keep going at speed till you hit an immovable object, and the fact cars gain speed stupidly quick. But yeah the island would be rather small, even if it had all the Channel Islands in! In the end I'm just throwing a stab in the dark, as thats all anyone can really do of now! But the placeholder number plate idea is most likly of now, that or it's the one all cars in the SC will wear.
  4. Underwhelming, yeah, expected some gameplay. Guess just a teaser to get folk to remember the game is still there. Anyway, lets speculate on location again... Number plate is oblong, black with silver lettering & a logo (The Solar Crown one). Now a place I can think of that rich folk live on (or say to, for tax reasons) that's is an island that doing a 1-1 scale wouldn't be a crazy idea...that also has a number plate that's not too different from it... Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands. Scenery there is nice, weather is good too. With a bit of artistic licensing it'd polish up well. Just a stab in the dark from the little info there is. Edit: Just seen elsewhere people pointing out that Singapore also uses a number plate like that! Which would make much more sense for the sense of the rich & casinos. Personally between the two I'd rather Guernsey.
  5. I disappear for a few months, completely forgot about TDU:SC and then was somewhat disappointed when I seen there's been no news on it what so ever. Shame. Hopeful we hear something this year.
  6. Oh, old-new faces! Good to see - Seeing how it's had a 5 year plan so far leaves me with hope, also means less of a wait I'm sure. Can't wait for some more info to come out.
  7. The checklist you've got there @Ryzza5 is spot on for myslef! If it was't for TDU aiming for "The High life" idea, you'd be limitless on locations! I mean take the Isle of Man here in the UK, it's got good roads and a lot of wealth (Not a Tax dodge....) as well as nice scenery. But its hardly a sunny paradise!
  8. Okinawa would actually be pretty sweet. Size wise, it's smaller than O'ahu but bigger than Ibiza. It would also bring a good mix of urban and nature. It's truly an amazing peace of paradise. Kyushu would be great also, but it's a damm big island! Sadly though I don't think it would work with the whole TDU vibe myself as it doesn't have the pull or amour that Hawaii or Ibiza has. In the same way if I'm thinking of good driving roads, nice scenery, vibrant city life and 'The Highlife'...the French Riviera comes to mind rather than The Highlands of Scotland. For now All we can do is guess. I mean who'd to say it's even going to be an island?
  9. Despite having 5 cars on the drive It's not as impressive as you'd think 2000 Lexus LS400 - 280hp 2015 Abarth 595 - 140hp 2000 VW Golf 2.0 Convertible - 114hp 2003 Astra estate 1.7Cdti - 78hp 1957 Morris Minor - 48bhp A total of 660hp... Now if we limited it to ones that I actually have taxed and on the road...
  10. To bump this back, I offer something simple... Bliss!
  11. 1:1 scale, I mean I'm going to use good ol O'ahu for reasons we all know and love. According to google, the landlass of the island is 1,545km squared. Why do I point this out? Well the game Fuel, had a map size 14,400Km squared, or 'About the size of the US state of Connecticut', although that map was rather barren but the size was done back on PS3/360 gen. So I'd guess current and next gen could handle 1:1 of O'ahu. That said, Ibiza is only 571Km squared. Or for a bigger island, lets use the French island of Corsica in the Mediterranean, which is bigger than O'ahu with a landmass of 8,722Km squared. Keeping it local to me, the Isle of Skye has a landmass of 1,656Km squired. It would 100% fit the TDU vibe of glitzy homes, nice weather and having high end designer clothes stores. This is all irrelevant rambling though! As for the 18 rating? I'd guess maybe having a casino again, meaning having the 18+ rating for now keeps them covered for alot of places.
  12. Your not the only one...the PTSD from following the TDU2 Hype train still lingers in my mind.
  13. HypeHyp Hype The TDU2 Facebook page, not been updated since 2013 has just added a photo, updated profile pic and a video... Video is nothing, but the fact stuff has been changed on the TDU2 FB page(no doubt a name change is coming) and now posting after so long is something. Going by the logo I'd guess Solar Crown is a top choice for the name.
  14. As long as we don't end up with TDU2's "we have 100 cars in game, but about 25% of them are special editions of cars in game, and another 7% are the more extreme model of cars we have". Y'all know what cars im talking about. A good balance would be nice, which I think TDU pulled off. Current crop of Hyper and Super cars, mixed with the current crop of sports. Dab in saloons, and a nice layover of classics from exotic to muscle. Oh, and a few oddballs and concepts!
  15. Guess we'll just have to keep our eye and ears peeled for info. Ah this takes me back to about 10 years ago when news of TDU2 was coming about! I'm sure like most of us I'd be happy if they redid O'ahu for a location, or Ibiza again. An sunny island, nice roads, good mix of cars and good handling would be top of the list. Oh and don't forget being able to pick your interior spec! Having the choices of carbon or aluminium trim in alot of cars was oddly a joy for me! (Aluminium being the choice for me)
  16. I was reading on GT-Planet just the other day that people who made the past few WRC games, as well as the Isle of Man TT and a few others are working on it. Reading that Reddit post I'm interested. Hope if it does happen, it manages to re-capture some of the magic of the first game!
  17. Having owned a fair few cars, some that are 'financial mistakes'...The good times out weigh the bad! Just be sure to make sure it wont cause actual financial problem! But a real engined, Alfa GT! I do envy you, the sound of them alone is epic!
  18. In the past year, according to steam i've put in 270 hours to playing Euro Truck Simulartion... I blame friends having ETS2 and th multiplayer mod TruckersMP. The worst part of it is the fact i fix truck and trailers for a damm living! So 75% of the stuff in game I get to do for a living... But hey, the banter with friends is worth it!
  19. More modern photo of me... Okay I've not really changed, the hair grows and gets cut but I still lust for some Yankee V8...
  20. Oddly the best thing of interest this year would have been a Lister LTF-666... In recant years local events haven't been what they used to be, with GT Scotland being much, much more quiet than they were and the local circuit being much the same. As well as weather being rather Sh.. To me saying a 'modern' was the most exciting car I've seen this year is actually odd! Considering how in past years 918's, P1's or a 911 GT1, F50 or Enzo was a 'normal' thing for up north. This has been...meh, even for me! (And i'll get excited over a base spec Rover 100!)
  21. Bit of a 7 month bump but.. Girls und Panzer: Ribbon Warrior... Only found out abut GuP last year thanks to the other half, being a fan of WW2 stuff as it is...GuP was right up my street. Seems the manga related stuff is just as good as the anime! Ive read all the other GuP mangas too, all great!
  22. Smoking, by Boston! Some proper ol rock!
  23. Long time no post from me too... what to say? I'm alive, Ive made changes to my 'fleet' of cars... I've used my Abarth little to none this year, I sold the E36 I had as well (its in good hands...long term members here can maybe guess who has it!) , I still have the Minor and since then I've had two major changes... I had a 2.0 Golf '3.5' 2.0 Convertible as well as a Astra G estate... The golf was a great lil summer machine... The Astra is a proper mile muncher being the 1.7 DTi... In the 3 months Ive had it its done little over 4,000 miles (Its less than 500 milea from 200k as of now!)
