  1. Got some more up close shots of the cars coming up, even got hands on with some ;) The Proton had one of the best rears, but both MG's could compete with her...I mean the car.
  2. So insted of spamming other pages with my photos, I though I'd make one and dump them here in the form of a story. :) This is Photo heavy, so if a mod wants me to cut down on the pictures just say & i'll get rid of some of them! So it started off with a early morning, leaving Aberdeen at 6AM, after a night of a few drinks that when quite to plan. We headed off down the A90 on our trip to Knockhill for the British Touring Car Championship in my friends VW Polo R-Line. Picture from the backseat, I never actually took this one. The weather was meh, dark, foggy and raining from time to time, thankfully by the time we got to Dundee it had perked up alot, with the sun poking it's head out. We stopped at Tesco there for some food and drink's as someone had left them in a Honda that was 70 miles north...But a baguette, multi-pack bag of crisps and a coke as well as marker pens(they'll come in handy later) and we were ready to hit the road again. We got to Knockhill at around 8am, got our tickets at the gate and parked up. I spotted the MG stand where they were showing off the new MG3, so I jumped at the chance to have a right good poke around.(got a good chat with the dealer guy, and got a test drive coming soon ;))With it being so early we got to walk about the paddock without bother of crowds, spotting a few drivers going about as well as car's getting prepped, a perfect time to ogle the cars and take pictures... 'Carrera Cup' at Knockhill by CarbonCoffee, on Flickr From there we headed back to the car for supply's, we dropped by the MG stand again so I could get some pictures of the 3.. Race 3 Winners by CarbonCoffee, on Flickr And with that the racing over, and having got the camera covered in champagne from the winners, we decided to hang around as the traffic to get out was going to take ages! We got more than we ever hoped for by doing so! :D Next photo-heavy post will be on the track action and up close with the cars. ;)
  3. May as well add this as well... Another from last Sunday.
  4. LA Noire is a really good game! Just a shame there's no real replay value. HUGE map(sadly, i'd say like 75% of it there is no point going to or ever needing to go to) and a great story! If you can get it cheap it'd be worth it!(and the extra 'cases' as well)
  5. I don't get it?...It's clearly a MX5. ;) Somthing diffrent: The bike came with the car when new, and folds up nearly to be stored into the boot. Oh and the cars no bigger than a real Mini!
  6. I can understand why people get annoyed at the sounds, be as long as things sound near enough them I'm happy. For example if they had a Honda City Turbo 2 sounding like a deep snarly V8 then i'd have a slight gripe...although a city Turbo with a V8 does sound like an interesting idea. I've said it before, but the sound is't a huge thing for me when I'm driving, it's just there. I'll admit when I'm in the works van & got the window open that hearing the turbo spool is fun but I don't stop and admire it(also it's a Vauxhall Combo 1.7CDTI...not stunning). When watching cars it matters, but if im watching cars in game I may as well just go you YT and look up the cars? Also alot cars none of us will have ever herd for real! Hearing cars in a game or on a video is one thing, but the real sound is different. As I said I can understand why some are annoyed, but just my opinion thrown in. I'm putting on my flame suit and I type this by the way.
  7. Nope, we got standard tickets at the gate. We were just really lucky and cleaver at the same time. After the 3rd Race we stayed to see the podium and if we could get autographs to let the traffic die down(Knockhill has...interesting exit for the cars). We then decided to walk slowly back to the car then see the gate to the track was open and a few folk on the track so we though "what the hell, we can cut the track and get the to the car quicker". We did that then decided to get a few pictures (one of me sitting in a fold-back chair and such on the track), then we put the stuff in the car. Insted of leaving (huge traffic still) we though "lets walk round the track" (got pictures as well). We did a lap then seen the cars still in the pits, and we though we'd chance our luck walking in and taking photos. That worked out for us as nobody minded us being there(team staff & such), and even helped to push a car along. Near enough every car from the BTCC was there bar a handful! So we whent nut's taking photos at that range! The VIP pass's dont include stuff like that! And after that we bumped into Matt Neil (3 time BTCC champion and one of the best drivers at the moment), and he happly posed with us for pictures! :D I'll do a thread by the end of the week about the whole story and ton's of pictures! :nods: Here's another I saw... Daniel Welch 's Proton GEN-2 by CarbonCoffee, on Flickr Dat rear...
  8. Ticket to the days events at the BTCC: £30 Price of chips & bacon roll: £5.50 Managing to walking round the track at the end and wounder into the pit's post race and get unlimited access to most of the cars in the BTCC and the mechanics and staff not caring? Priceless. Pit-lane lineup by CarbonCoffee, on Flickr
  9. 1) I own a civic. 2) That's Gordon Shedden's civic...not everyday you get up close with it. ;) 3)
  10. I'll be right up honest with this, this was't my photo but... Who's that guy taking a selfie? Ah.. *first picture was taken by my friend, and other guy who does Blown Turbos with me!
  11. Not a pic, but... 911 Carrera Cup race from Knockhill last Sunday. ;)
  12. So not only was it a great day... I managed to walk around the track and get into the pits while near enough the whole BTCC grid was still there. Dunno if we were allowed to do any of it but they never cared, even got asked to help push Ollie Jackson's car. I'll get the better pictures on photobucket later in the week, but heres one limked from my FB... Also managed to meet a few of the drivers this way. :nods:
  13. Looks like you really enjoyed London! :) Got some good photos as well! Was thinking why you said you saw a few LR Defenders as there common here...but remembered that stateside there illegal due to the 25 year rule. (Imported ones get crushed and such) Yeah, It's a Cab over here...or the better term is "Over priced W...." And yeah..Soho at 4am...
  14. Not sure if trolling or? :cheeky: It's Flash's. ;)
  15. Some will understand, others wont a clue. I was at the BTCC, if you know the picture & 'scribble' should be enough. ;) Was't just that, I'll post a full thing tomorrow...got to do ton's of stuff I should't have been able to do with a normal ticket, and some stuff I should't have been allowed to do unless I worked on track.
  16. I was at Knockhill for the BTCC...this kinda happened. Yes, that's the track I'm on, sitting on a chair. :cheeky: I've got a few other photos of me i'll upload once I've gotten the pictures onto the laptop, let's say I got to some interesting places I should't have and met some people some of you's will know ;)
  17. Social interaction can be good or bad, when it's shoved in your face it's annoying, but if it's like NFS has been doing the past few years I think it's great! I get a good time on a race and go "nice, I'll do another" then I see my friend Steve has a better time than me, so I decide to show him i'm better than him and re-do the race to get a better time. Likewise He see's I'v done it better and he tries. Better when there's 5 or so of you all with the game and trying to beat each other, also great for small bragging rights when were all down at the pub...better when "person with the worst time has to buy the first round" as we all try to not be last!
  18. Never seen peugeots untill you said. Merc, Nike have two(Air Jordon & new Nike car), The Pug, SRT, VW and Zagato all have as well! Looks like GT are planning there own Motorama show!
  19. Heres hoping I can find out which roads they are based on! :D Hell maybe based on some of them I've done already! (and I've done alot of Country/mountian roads here!)
  20. The Cietza's V16 Engine is also transverse mounted, it gets respect for that matter alone! Also talking of the Diablo story, did you know that Lamborghini nearly bought over a small Italian manufacture that was still in the design works in the mid 90's to be the Murcielago. That small manufacture was called Pagani, and the Zonda could have been a Lamborghini. He chose not to sell and the Murcielago was more of a re-work of the Diablo. And the rest for both cars is what we call history. :nods: Sorry off topic. Loving the 'Vision Gran Turismo' cars, some proper looking concept style cars! Alpine, Aston, Bretone, BMW, GM and Alfa all have so far!
  21. That picture of the Venom & M3 GTS....background seems very British for some reason.(smialer to what I see when up deeside and cairngorm way) Liking how it's not all barred off roads from the looks of things.(By that I mean having a fence running along side the road all the time) Can't wait to play it, no doubt will be the game I'm putting on first with my newly unboxed PS4. :nods:
  22. Hello & welcome! :hiya: Don't worry were not all crazy around here...but it does help! ;)
  23. If the Flash was off then all that'd be seen was black. Trees everywhere, no light from the sky(also the rain was lashing it down). Don't have a tripod of my own( and this was taken on the fly. At 3:45am I'm just wanting to get home from work  Hoping for a clear sky somtime this week on my way home, will try again but somewhere in the open with some natural light. :nods:
  24. Microsoft maybe have a hand with that, considering how Forza 5 seems to feature more than Clarkson saying a few lines about cars in a feature most people likely forgot about after using. Just a guess. - Liking the new cars showen. Like alot!
  25. Don't have tthe booklet at hand, but from memory it starts from £24,500+ BGP. Worked it out I could get it on a 3 year finance deal by putting a £5k deposit and then Monthly payments of £350 for 3 years. And when I looked into insurance I very nearly went with it! Kinda glad I never went ahead if I'm honest, as much as I'd have liked it. But thats another story. Anyway... 3:45am, a backroad near where I live, lashing rain. My attempt to get some artistic, moody photo with ambience. I'll get there soon!
