    I don't know why you would go the complicated route if you can just go the easy route. Also, I especially don't know why you don't want to do that in TDUF, concdering you didn't even open TDUMT before asking that otherwise you'd instantly see this here:

    replacing cars is literally the first thing one comes around when googling "tdu car mods tutorial". Stop using your "inability" to replace cars to push cars into platinum. Just replace the generic slots. This is the exact reson why there are there to begin with, so people add cars they want to.
     
    People replaced cars in TDU since 2008 or so, so I'm sure you can do that too.
     
    Many car mods even come with installers. So you literally dont have to do anything else than clicking a button.
     
    This is a message to everyone else too, by the way. Before requesting to add specific car mods - you have FREE SLOTS for this exact purpose - to do that yourself.

    Just change a car's brand in TDUF for the mission, complete the mission and change it back

    there is no access to the Eden Vanilla cars from Xbox, your only hope is that those cars will appear as mods.

    You can just add the car slots to the shop it doesn't matter which brand they are

    in TDUF in the vehicle slots profile under the datasheet tab the third row. Called "Price ($)"

    editing existing mods is super unethical and an unwritten rule in the modding scene to not do that. So it won't happen for Platinum. The only two solutions are hoping the original creator will fix it (super unlikely) or live with it.
     
    Nobody is making mods because it's super time consuming and fairly complicated to achive good results for beginners. And old modders just don't want to.

    some mods, such as mine, turn on all the lights by pressing high beam. Very ghetto solution, but just put a coin between L and O (concidering high beam is on L in your game) to keep the lights on.

    That's something Milli can't fix since she have not made the car models.

    The body (Paint) shader now supports VCAO (Vertex Color Ambient Occlusion) which improves performance a bit in the long run. Hell to set up. You won't notice it unless I actively toggle it on or off, but trust me it looks better.
    Also, wheels can be painted now.
     

     
    Minor progress is still progress.
    Current gameplan is to make everything work via debug tools before going to actually put it into UX. Actually self explanatory, but I am the kind of person which likes to rush things. Typically not an issue if I keep control of everything, but here things can come in between so going the safe route here.

    I've made a neutral debug level to test paint shaders in, and it turned out almost better looking than the actual environment lmao

    just a short teaser until I find out how to make a proper video without OBS after 20 seconds.
     
    Still a lot of UI and behind the scenes work. But I imported a gazillion wheels so there is that.

    Some small update. Did the majority of the work behind the scenes on the scripts.
     
    Visual updates are mainly:
    Wheel UI is in the works. Rims can now be changed outside of debug tools

     
    And, arguably one of the most important things, functions to change paint color are now working. Finally I can preview the car in anything else than pure white:

     
    Not much, but the paint thing is a major update. Will post more updates as soon as there are any.

    SSR, Efijy and both Saturns are useful. SSR is the replacement mule for Rolls Royces, Efijy for Bentleys, and the Saturns are overall great to replace by everything 😂

    Keep in mind that various data like interior camera views, physics data, suspension height, even seat position of the drivers 3D model might be very off then. But yeah, quick and dirty, that what Milli said.
