I would very much prefer other modders not to touch my mods. I lock them for a reason. I think I can speak for all modders or ex-modders spending a lot of time (weeks or even months in my case) for car mods, which don't want some randoms to fiddle with it. ZModelers locking system is garbage anyway, so it's a matter of respect at this point to not reimport and rework released mods from others.

Rules has no respect for anyone, I already see that by the trash he releases with the sole good features being my  inventions for car models blatantly ripped , yet again, I will not accept randoms to re-release my mods.

And the windows are not synced online afaik, so you would not see it on other player's cars anyway.
yes because the final gear ratio was not changed. It's normal gearing behaviour
This is her right to decline that if she does not want to take your money, it still does not mean you can expect her doing things for you. If she does not want your financial support, you still have no right to demand anything from anyone.
You can export single car slot rows or wheels or anything from TDUF. You don't have to send whole database files. If one will take contributions, they can easily just import this single slot rows into the DB. That's how car mods were distributed for over 10 years at this point.
Again, does not matter. If she does not want to accept your financial support for work she does, then you still have no right to take anything for granted. It's Millis mod, not yours. It's Millis time, not yours. And it's her decision, not yours.

It is model related. The rotation of the needles are determined by the location of the dummys in the interior 3D model file. There is no quick way of fixing it other than trial and error, and since this is not efficient, it is not worth the time.
You have the gearing data of the real world car all over the internet. Just upgrade the OS, install TDUF or TDUPE and enter those exact values for all gears then? You cant just upgrade one gear and expect it to work. This is how gears work. Everything is connected. You have 7 gears and a final drive ratio, all those have to correspond with each other.
Again, you have no right to demand anything of a work you don't pay a dime or a second for. This is a volunteer project of some individuals doing that in their free time. You absolutely have no rights for a demand. You can request and suggest, but you can not demand anything.

And your cheat argument doesn't really grip either since vanilla players have the same issue you described then.
I already explained everything about "demanding". Milli does not have to do anything you demand, and you should not expect your demands to be fulfilled. Please step down from your high horse.
But what stops you to contribute work for the project then? Expecting stuff to be done from volunteers but not contribute anything yourself but demands is helping nobody.

She does not *need* to do anything. You can easily do that for your own game. You have the tools, you have the research power. If you'd like to do changes on the game, go for it, but do not demand it from others. The input is appreciated but please drop this demanding tone.
We are talking about Test Drive Unlimited, not Assetto Corsa. The cars were grippy in the game since the beginning, this is an arcade game. The physics engine is 15+ years old, and was pretty mediocre back then even.
The price cars are always free, and there are quite a few. Nardo is one of them. They don't have a price. They are always at 0 but you can not obtain them normally.

I'm happy for every single voulenteer! Let me know what you can do and I'll find something for sure. At the moment I need to setup basic functions for one car, but when I'm done, you might help me rigging cars - when you are able to do that. Otherwise - Materials, unwrapping and texturing would be really appreciated.

I'm afraid custom events are above my level of programming yet. I can make basic AI race you but they all would be really primitive and easy to beat. For now, the goal is to make a more or less solid concept to work on, what happens after that - i dont know. I might have a basic idea of how to create open world events later then, but not yet, I'm afraid

So, yeah. Uhm. Let's go, I guess.
Hi folks. I was gone for quite a while on the forum and from modding TDU. To be fair, TDU bored me, I was so deep in the 3D-modeling and rendering materia that TDU was just not a challenge for me anymore with the (hands down) very limited modding possibilities. Don't get me wrong, I can't complain what a 11 year old game still is capable of. But, let's be honest, it's way off from today's standards.

As of this matter, I would like to introduce you my little big project I spent quite some time coding and learning in the past weeks:

Project: DRIVE

I know, from the screen on it looks really poopy, sorry for that. That's actually the only screenshot I have of it right now.

"But Zoqqer, dafuq is this?"

Long story short

By the way, I am a disaster at coding, especially C++, and I needed a reaally long time to find myself into the engine again, but now that I am capable of doing the very basics it will only get better.

"Okay, but what is it all about?"

And those are the features I am planing-to-but-unsure-if-I-can realize:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Progress:
28. February 2018

18. August 2018
First public tech demo preview by DonnieBrasco:

That's the literal working list I have atm:

At the moment, only Rassva and me are involved into the project, but I am the only one who is actually coding.

And that's the whole point of the thread:
it is not for showing off or something - not at all, I actually would like to make it a community project.

So if anyone has a basic idea of anything of the following, please let me know!:
-Scripting C++
-Blueprint scripting unreal engine
-unreal engine shading
-3D modeling
-environment design
-character design and animation
-UI design
-Audio design (raw wav's are fine)

.. or if you have anything else you want to work on.

Please remember, this is a community project, there is no release date. Also, in case I really will finish it one day, this will remain FREE forever and forum exclusive, as I don't have commercial rights on the 3D models, textures, brands or software, so I can't pay anyone who will be involved, sorry about that.

So, yeah. Let me know what you think. I doubt I will ever bring it to an enjoyable point, but I just wanted to work on a racing game with you guys.

Have a good one :)

Quite busy with work, business, other projets and misc real life stuff. Barely have time to do anything. I worked on some custom parts which are not worth showing and this wet paint shader.

The parts are not fully mapped so its missing on some areas, but it turns out cool. It's also animated.

License plates are being generated now. They either follow a random combination in preset pattern:

Or can be customized fully in text (excluding prophanity) and length:

Here's the plate format concept I did for it:

The environment is being reworked by an environment artist friend and will be something like that:

Some docks in my hometown of Berlin, Germany, in moody, foggy weather with a bit of drizzle.
Currently working on the customization UX of the license plates. After that, the wheel editor will follow. Very UI-sided project.
Slowly but surely making progress.

Heylo, time to revive the thread a bit. I was very busy with work and other stuff in the past time so I didn't have much time to update my game (Also thanks to Forza Horizon 4 which also took a majority of my free time lel)

I am "back" on my game again ("" because I sort of am, since I have had some time the past 3 days). I finally put in the new UI into the project and it's working very well. It still has some imperfections which I need to take on with time, but the core of it is working good. As you might imagine, I won't be able to release the demo this year anymore, as it's still missing some things everywhere, and eventho the most are easy fixes, they still take a lot of time.

Nontheless, the progress is good and I can't wait to show you it :) Stay tuned.
@TDUZoqqer if you can help Playground Games by selecting cars to add to the game that the community actually wants, get that job ;)
I wish it would be that easy haha! I think there are more reasons behind the scenes about not adding the cars the people want than just not wanting to. I know of strict regulations on the licenses and stuff. One reason why Mitsubishi and Toyota aren't featured.

I had no interior in this build so the whole interior is missing 😄
Got screens of the new build, I really like how it looks like, customisation also works, but only through debug tools yet. Still got to make the UI work properly.

Bonus: enjoy those whacky suspension tune debug images lmao

Honda bois appreciate
