    Transition between idle and onlow is a bit compromise, because I had a problem: the transition was bad or the idle sound was completely unrealistic and fake. Although it doesn't sound that bad ingame, cause in the video some idiot in Audi S6 spoilt it. And I used all samples from Shift, but I had to shorten some of them, cause otherwise it would exceed the 750 KB limit and it would end up in huge silence :rolleyes: And I like doing mods for myself, just as I want them to be.

    Yes, I know Urban has done this before, but as sound is something that can go completely different, I tried to do this by myself. I didn't stole anything from him, just did everything alone, as always.     So which is better for you? This or old one? Because I'm not sure from this. RS4 is revving up to 8000 RPM, so it's got to be high pitched. Old was like it was cutting at 6000 RPM, in my opinion. I also think, that it sounds a bit better ingame than here. ;)

    Hello, I'm back. I missed TDU, I just needed a break from it for a while, but now I'm coming with new energy and experience. So I've redone the RS4 sound, as it was old and not perfect. Now it comes with more samples, completely new, much longer starter and it's screaming even louder. Hope you like it. Recommended ignition time is 2.725 sec. Although, you can set it to whatever you want, but I don't recommend the default value, it's definitely too short. PS2. If you don't want the roar in the ignition, 0.66 sec is good value.

    I have a problem with TDUPE. My version of TDU is polish, which is translated and I can't choose any other language. However, I found out, that my polish database is in german file, which TDUMT reads without any problems. So I installed 1.67 on german database, and I'm trying to run TDUPE on GE database also. I have also different localisation of TDU. Am I doing something wrong? Of course I can download english "backup copy" from torrents or something, as I have original TDU, so that will be legal, but I want to know if I can do that on my version. Or maybe I can change ignition time manually somehow? Because that's the only thing I want to change. Thanks in advance for help. Edit: Sorry, I was used to old version and I was changing locality manually which was causing crash at start. At least, it starts now :)

    Solution: You don't have to cut it to original lenght. The only limit is overall file size, it must be under 750KB.

    If it's blowing air, it must suck it earlier, it doesn't produce it by itself. Anyway, I currently have unninstalled TDU from computer, because I have enough of it for now, must have break. Should be back in few months. ;)

    Had to answer this one: Turbocharger is actually sucking air like a vacuum cleaner so it's really not strange that they sound similiar :D

    There is also a version without supercharger. However, I'm still gaining experience in sound modding. When I was doing it, I thought it was good. Now I see that whine is really too loud. But I have so many sounds to make and I've already deleted the modified samples so I would have to align samples again, which is maybe not hard work, but a little bit boring and monotonic, because I check the sound ingame, then go to home, change car to other one, exit home, minimize game, then change sample pitch, get back to game, enter house, change to car I'm modding, check the sound for the transitions, and if they're still not good, I have to do the same thing again and agin until the transitions between samples aren't smooth. Hope you understand me.

    It's based on Murcielago, so it should go up to 7500 rpm, but I'm not sure of it, maybe it revs higher. Haven't tried.

    You can mod only a few things online. But you can change ignition time and you won't be kicked out of server.

    It's weekend, so I went back to work on some sounds. RS Cosworth is first, cause I've started it and it wasn't finished. It sounds good, I think. I just don't know what to write here. I suggest downloading TDU PE by Dredgy and make it longer to 1.0 seconds. My friend recorded the movie and forgot to change it. I don't want to make installers, because it's really not very easy for me and it doesn't create any backups.

    Yeah, in Shift road R8 has 4,2, but in real LMS has got a Gallardo engine, so I suppose it also has it in Shift.

    A lot of answers in one post :P When Camaro from Shift will be done, I'll start thinking about it. Exactly the same as higher. Again, same. First good proposal, cause it's made already (I mean car model from Shift). Goes up in my queue to second place. And first is... Yes, Escort RS Cosworth is first. Cause I've started it, but I was just lazy and haven't finished. Unfortunately, next week I'll probably busy, so maybe next weekend. You'll certainly get it before Christmas, though ;) Magic. :) If I'd discovered it without asking anyone, why should I share this information to others? Noone helped me, so really, keep on trying. I can tell you something, however - you can open it with totally freeware software, don't need any very advanced and expensive stuff. That's for it now. :p

    Weather? Really a long time. Weathers are: A - foggy B - nice day C - stormy day D - cloudy day I found that time goes around (if not exactly) 3 times faster than in real world, and TDU clock is 12 hours (from 7 AM to 7 PM). So it's 4 hours weather A, then weather B etc. Time of the day depends on time ingame, sunrise starts around 7 AM, and night is really dark at 3PM. Time of day changes slowly, but if you watch the sun for a while, you'll notice that it is moving, so it's not that slow. And online I didn't noticed that it remembers last time and weather. Turned it off yesterday, was weather B and slowly going lighter after night, turned it on today and it was sunset and weather A. So don't know how does that work.

    As I promised, here is the sound for GT3 RSR, which goes on RUF RGT. It has a different starter, different low sounds, and it's based on RGT, so it revs up to 7800 rpm and it sounds a little bit more mechanical. Unfortunately, RGT sound settings (which I'm not able to decrypt) made it also a little bit quieter. But it still sounds good IMO.
