  1. BMW: Most Wanted ‘Tease the season to be jolly, Fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la’. In the latest ‘Week in Review’ posted up on the official Forza website we are being treated to a little bit of a mystery as to what is to come in the new year with January’s Car Pack. Discussing of how the brand new event in January will star a car from the first of 2017’s DLC, Brian Ekberg mentions that the vehicle in question is in fact “the most requested BMW in Forza history”. Leaving us to scratch our heads and ponder of just what this ‘WE WANT THIS SOO BAD!!’ Ultimate Driving Machine could be. When we take a look at the BMW history in Forza it is actually more effective to look at what has been included and start scoring out those that are the iconic and the best in most people’s eyes. And with everything from the tiny 'Bubble Car' to the M1 and many generations of M3 and M5 being featured, the list is a lot shorter than you might expect. So what hasn’t then? Well perhaps we should be taking a look at BMW’s hybrids. These haven’t made their way in yet and fingers are pointing that this is what it will in fact be. Does this feel to ring true of the "most requested" moniker being tied to it? Hard to say but there was a poll on the official forums that had the i8 leading, but with a little of just over 40 votes it's not exactly an astronomical showing of support. Taking the hybrid thinking into real consideration though which one will it be: i3 or i8? I’d love for it to be the i3 for this event just to see the faces of people but no it will most probably be the i8. Whatever it is, (40+) people want it and so it will be received well (by at least 40 of them). Fortunately there is no need to wait too long to find out what it is, as the reveal will take place next week on Facebook. [via Forzamotorsport.net]
  2. Microtransaction 'Tokens' Come to FH3 Time to get those pitch forks out and grab a flaming torch as Forza Horizon 3 has been updated with a new ‘Tokens’ microtransaction system. In an act of pure disgust they are asking for players… no wait that’s the wrong word as players don’t need to use these at all as FH3 is generally pretty good at paying out and rewarding in-game currency, providing you play through it. So in respect, this is targeted to those who don’t play that much or who want to own everything without putting in the effort to do so (whales!) via the workings of the game, delivering an option where they can pay for an easier ride. Ah, but what about all those incessant prompts and notices that will be constantly pushed in front of your eye-balls? Yeah that could be the case, if you don’t go into the ‘Extras’ tab in the ‘Marketplace’ section of the game’s ‘Pause’ menu and toggle the option. Microtransactions are and can be a menace to gaming but the ones here are not. It would be very easy to label Playground and co as money-grubbing monsters who have made it so that the game is geared (haha pun!) towards their use, but FH3 is not this way at all. Yes you will need to play a good amount in order to achieve the higher-end vehicles but that is the way it should be, no? Getting everything handed to you is no fun, well it is in the short term but it also removes playability and longevity as there is no need to continue to achieve when it’s all available to you. However don’t get me wrong. I do understand that the grind can be too much, but at the same time I also remember how boring a game can become after everything was unlocked. It’s a hard thing to get right, but as long as it doesn’t feel that something has been priced extortionately high (GTA Online I am looking at you) or would require a literal year’s worth of normal playtime then I have no real problem with it.
  3. Blizzard Mountain Expansion Winter has well and truly arrived in Forza Horizon 3’s Australia with the release today of the ‘Blizzard Mountain’ expansion. First heard of back at the end of November the expansion is set within a snow covered, ice laden alpine environment. And in case you were wondering, yes Australia does actually get snow! The whole point of it all is that players are bidding to become the ‘King of the Mountain’, and they do this by tackling a new campaign featuring over 50 new events and challenges that they will compete in. Being on this sort of surface and the fact it’s a bloody mountain they're doing this on, the addition of new races like Descent, Hill Climb and Blizzard will provide a bit of a new challenge to seasoned players of the vanilla game who may be becoming more used to its surroundings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOB0QAVUiXc After staking their claim as the King of all below them, players can then hunt for and crash through the new bonus boards, locate the beauty spots and see how they fare against others in new Bucket List Blueprint and Rivals events as they chase after the 500 Gamerscore attainable through the 28 new achievements. Seven new vehicles along with one new Barn Find (so that makes 8!) are there to help players take the crown and are especially set up for the treacherous conditions of the mountain. Front and centre of them all is Ken Block’s Ford Focus RS RX. For the ice-rally fan who wants a bit more of the classic approach though there are two icons of rallying with the Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 and Lancia Delta S4 Group B. The full list (sans Barn Find) of those contained within the pack is shown below: Forza Horizon 3 ‘Blizzard Mountain’ - Vehicles 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car If players have a particular vehicle they cannot tear themselves away from in their inventory already then the option to stick on some snow tyres is also there and should see them spending many hours sliding about and possibly falling off from great heights. Now that's a picture we would love to see! Blizzard Mountain is available now on the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The pack can be bought standalone or as a part of the Expansion Pass. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="6311,6312,6314,6310,6307,6308,6306,6309,6313]
  4. Logitech G Car Pack The new content train is well and truly on a roll right now in regards to Forza Horizon 3, what with the new ‘Blizzard Mountain’ expansion due out shortly and now this – the latest DLC car pack called the Logitech G Car Pack. December’s offering is the third monthly DLC car pack to be released for the game and is available now for Xbox One and Windows 10 players to buy, or download if they have the Car Pass. https://youtu.be/GXqlST_53M8 As has become somewhat customary with the car packs with the game this one is again chock full of some really interesting and exciting contents. The most outlandish being the Morgan 3 Wheeler, which now happily joins the Reliant in becoming another vehicle that sports a trio of rubber to help keep it pointing in the right direction. Japanese fans will be ecstatic to see the icon that is the 1992 Toyota Supra added to the roster. This car I particularly fondly remember being a real gem in winning me many a race in the first and second Gran Turismo games. Bentley’s stupidly gorgeous EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept is a luxury grand tourer that will no doubt be right at home eating up the miles as it cruises along the coastal roads and wherever else players deem to take it. And with it being a hybrid you can feel contented knowing that you are doing your bit for the game’s virtual environment or something. And then there is the aussie nutcase who springs out from nowhere: the HSV GTSR. Boasting a lot of power, a lot of questionable styling and a lot of yellah, the GTSR is a real character and belongs blasting up, down and through the roads and greeneries of FH3’s Australia. The Logitech G Car Pack is available now for those on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, or is free to those who have bought the Car Pass. 5. Blizzard Mountain Achievements With only a week to go until the first expansion of 'Blizzard Mountain' skids onto Forza Horizon 3 for Xbox One and PC a bundle of images and their accompanying achievements have been revealed. Found on the Xbox achievement encyclopedia that is Xbox Achievements, the posted list for the expansion gives an idea of what players can expect as they play through. However, these achievements are paired with images that depict what the task requires or a hint of how to obtain it. These in themselves are not only allowing us to see some of the action that will be available but also disclosing what the new Barn Find is. We won't spoil what that is, however if you want to know what is hidden away, be sure to check out the source link at the bottom. 'Blizzard Mountain' consists of a new alpine environment setting that will see buyers of the pack taking the seven new rides available – plus the aforementioned new Barn Find – across the more than 50 events and challenges that have to be completed in the quest to become ‘King of the Mountain’. Those wanting to live out those Ken Block fantasies will be glad to know they can make it a virtual reality, with the inclusion of Block’s latest Gymkhana Focus RS RX. New Bucket List Blueprint and Rivals events as well as a whole new batch of bonus boards to crash through and beauty spots to discover, make up the rest of what will take up players’ time while they roam around the snow and ice covered landscape. And this trekking around can be done in any of your stable of vehicles too because of the new snow tyres upgrade. Additionally, 500 Gamerscore can be attained through the 28 new Xbox Live achievements. Forza Horizon 3 ‘Blizzard Mountain’ will be available as a standalone purchase when it releases on December 13th, or is included with the Expansion Pass which gives buyers access to the two expansions (‘Blizzard Mountain’ and one other) for a discounted price. Ultimate Edition owners no longer get until the end of the year as was originally stated to buy the Pass, as that appears to have changed now to them having to buy it before the end of December 13th, 2016 in order to take advantage of the extra saving. 6. Blizzard Mountain Expansion The first Forza Horizon 3 expansion pack, teased earlier this month by means of no more than a glimpse at a tyre parked on a snowy surface, has been named and info about what players can expect from its purchase revealed. The 'Blizzard Mountain' expansion is coming out on December 13th and is bringing with it a first for the Forza series – snow and ice. This expansion will have players fighting blizzards and tackling huge elevations in their goal to become the King of the Mountain. Set on a snowy mountain playground with extreme alpine conditions, players will explore the new environment which contains an extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake within its boundaries, in eight new vehicles, including the 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX and a new brand new Barn Find to seek out. Blizzard Mountain Vehicles 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car Race events have been specially designed to be rather gnarly and enhance the chance of those playing shouting out 90s lingo such as ‘radical’ and ‘cowabunga’. (what am I on about?!) Outside of the main events there are bonus boards to destroy and beauty spots to enjoy. Along with the ability to put a new available upgrade of snow tyres onto any vehicle to confidently tackle the new road conditions. A new batch of 28 Achievements worth 500 Gamerscore will also be able to be gained through the pack, of which you can view below. (shame there isn’t one for skidding through a barrier during an event and crashing down the mountain in my opinion) Blizzard Mountain Achievements Welcome to Base Camp 10 Open the Blizzard Mountain Festival. Just Getting STARted 10 Earn your first star at Blizzard Mountain. Triple Star Performance 10 Earn 3 Stars at a single route at Blizzard Mountain. Ding Ding 10 Reach Round 2 of King of the Mountain. There is a small discount available if players stump up for the Expansion Pass. That gets them this expansion plus one other, whereas Ultimate Edition owners can be happy knowing that they can take part in the discount love also, with a bigger discount, but only if it is bought before the end of 2016. 7. Premium Price At Its Apex PC players finally got Forza on their platform with the release of the free-to-play Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for Windows 10 back in September. Apex was the first of the highly-acclaimed Forza series’ of games to hit PC, closely followed with Forza Horizon 3 a couple of months later. Apex has been getting some updates hear and there, with the latest helping with performance issues and bringing even more wheel compatibility to the title. Apart from this it’s been fairly quiet on how the game will be expanded with new content and how. Being free-to-play it is a no brainer that real money will be involved in some way and the release of Apex Premium Edition (let’s call it APE for short) is what Microsoft have come up with. So what is so Premium about this version and why should you go APE? Well for starters, for the small price of about 25% of a normal Forza Motorsport you will receive 1 track pack and 2 car packs with 7 cars each, making for a massive 14 cars added to your virtual garage. A lot less than the amount that the standard game on the Xbox One delivers. The track pack contains none other than the legend that is the Nürburgring and has the Nordschleife, GP Circuit and the 24Hour layout which is a layout made up when the previous two are combined, making for one hell of a road roller-coaster. All layouts are available in day, night and wet making the pain of the price perhaps that bit easier to swallow. Full contents of what buyers will get for their money is shown below: Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Premium Edition Power to Weight Car Pack (7 Cars) 2016 Ford Mustang GT350R 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 2013 SRT Viper GTS 2013 Caterham Superlight R500 2013 KTM X-Bow R 2014 BAC Mono Hyper Endurance Car Pack (7 Cars) 2016 #66 Ford Racing GT LeMans 2013 #91 SRT Motorsport GTS-R Viper 2016 Nissan #1 NISMO MOTUL AUTECH GT-R 2014 Mazda #70 SpeedSource Lola B12/80 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 2012 Hennessey Venom GT 2013 Lamborghini Veneno Nürburgring Track Pack Nürburgring Nordschleife GP Circuit Full Circuit (24H Layout)
  8. Forza Horizon 3 PC Demo Is Here! They said a Forza Horizon 3 PC demo would come after release and they were right, as it has just become available on the Windows Store. Yes we repeat, the Forza Horizon 3 PC demo is OUT NOW! Already deemed to be one of the best racing games ever, the third in the Horizon series is the first to make its way onto the PC and it does so in fantastic style. With the extra horsepower available, the graphics are crisper and the frame rates are faster, as well as increased wheel support over Microsoft’s own gaming console. (yeah makes perfect sense that one??) So if you have not bought into the hype and glowing opinions from many a player and reviewer, now is the time to try it out for yourself and see what the whole fuss of a glorious recreation of an environment that takes the best parts of Australia and allows you to drive around it in hundreds of different vehicles, which you can modify and tune to make them as unique as you would like, is all about. And do not forget those amazing screens you can take too. What you waiting for? Go get it now! Forza Horizon 3 PC Demo - Windows Store
  9. Forza Horizon Alpine² It is the beginning of a brand new month and that means some new motors for the latest Forza must be due. Well it is and in fact it is available today! The ‘Alpinestars Car Pack’ brings seven new cars to Forza Horizon 3 including a most-requested drifting legend, a circuit-smashing Viper, a classic Aussie muscle and a Talbot Sunbeam for all the odd fellows and lassies that are out there. :p (it is Lotus tuned mind) Forza Horizon 3 – Alpinestars Car Pack 2017 Acura NSX 1998 Nissan Silvia K’s 1990 Mazda Savannah RX-7 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT 2016 Dodge Viper ACR 2016 BMW M4 GTS 1979 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam Out now, the DLC is available as part of the 'Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass' or as a standalone purchase. [gallery type=rectangular" size="small-post-image" link="file" ids="5744,5749,5748,5747,5746,5745,5750] Forza Horizon 3 - Expansion 1 Tease But wait!! We were also given a sneak peek at what the first of the two expansion packs aims to deliver... Snow! "Theeee hillllls are alive with the sound of screaming V12!!" That’s right, winter is coming to Australia in what is actually the summer due to it being located in the southern hemisphere, but we can ignore that as the image above showing a Lamborghini Centenario caked in the white stuff is just too good to ignore. Don’t forget that you can buy a ‘Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass’ to get discounted access to the two expansions, or for those who bought the Ultimate Edition then you will be ecstatic to hear that a small discount is available on the pass until the end of this year. [via ForzaMotorsport.net]
  10. Forza Horizon 3 Oct 14th Update A new update has been released for Forza Horizon 3 on PC and Xbox One that includes many stability and performance improvements for the Windows 10 version. It’s been a bit of mixed bag in terms of how well the game has run on people’s machines and for those who suffered frequent slow-downs or even crashes they will be hoping that this update remedies the issues they have faced. And if it doesn’t? Well performance and stable operation is a “top priority” for Playground Games and Turn 10 so future updates may be the ‘one’ to bring the fix. Away from the technical tweaking and bug fixing there is also the introduction of new ‘Horizon Edition’ vehicles to the level-up Tombola spins, replacing the previous versions that were available. These tuned and modified versions are quite rare and offer players a chance at some easier progression due to the boost to XP, credits or skills that they come with. Other areas have been attended to also: being we are massive fans of the photo mode shots that our members share on our forums and in the Gallery, it is awesome to see that a fix from all of those mentioned below includes one for the blurry image issue that some on PC have experienced. Forza Horizon 3: October 14th Update Stability Fixed an issue where having a microphone enabled in the game but no speech pack installed would cause the title to crash on Windows 10 Fixed an issue that would cause a game crash for some Windows 10 players when entering Maroondah Road Bucket List event Fixed an issue that would cause a game crash for some Windows 10 and Xbox One players when joining online Bucket List Blueprint challenges with mismatched DLC Fixed an issue that would cause a game crash for some Xbox One players when pausing the game Fixed an issue that would cause a game crash for some players when collecting Loyalty Rewards while in a Convoy Fixed an issue that would cause a game crash for some players when using the AMD R9 Fury X graphics card on Windows 10 Fixed a TDR for Windows 10 players Performance Players running four-core setups on Windows 10 should see CPU improvements Improved thread layout changes for eight-core setups on Windows 10, resulting in improved performance Improvement to performance in upgrades and tuning screens on Windows 10 Fixed a stall when driving in Byron Bay on Windows 10 Stall fixed when applying Drivatar liveries while driving on Windows 10 Stall fixed when driving in free roam on Xbox One Wheel Support Improvements to force feedback dead zone and FFB performance when driving on tarmac on both Xbox One and Windows 10 Fixed a bug so that wheel button prompts now match the in-game bindings on Windows 10 Actions that must be mapped are now identified in the UI and number of actions that must be mapped has been reduced on Windows 10 General Improvements Fix for photo mode being blurry for some Windows 10 players Groove music playback improvements on Xbox One Upgrade basket UI now supports mouse input for Windows 10 Fix for bug that prevented Windows 10 players from progressing past the Start screen with no internet connection Added Master Volume option for Windows 10 players Fix to Advanced Camera functionality in left and top views in Paintshop (Xbox One and Windows) Fix to enable Rewind when returning from Co-Op to Solo (Xbox One and Windows) Added option to mute microphones in-game (Xbox One and Windows) Player can now continue driving when fuel runs out (Xbox One and Windows) Gameplay Changes Horizon Edition cars that boost either Skills or XP no longer provide a benefit in Online Adventure Fixed an issue where the Perk “The XP Bump” worked in Online Adventure. You know if you want, it’s not a requirement or anything. :)
  11. €xpan$$ion Pa$$ Forza Horizon 3 has not long been out and despite being the biggest game of the Horizon series it appears that Playground Games and co know that players are never shy of wanting (to pay for) more. Along with the multitude of car packs that will be coming and the expansions that frequent the series, environment size has always been an aspect that didn’t really get any attention. And it is something you won’t hear many players moan about either as long as there is plenty to do and see then extra areas are always welcome, and it looks like Horizon 3 is destined for bigger things. The 'Expansion Pass' looks to follow in the skidmarks of previous games. Whether this will mean more of the same off-map locations seen with the Rally Expansion for Horizon 1, Storm Island for Horizon 2 or perhaps even a new slice of Australia to explore that increases the size of the original map (store icon shows as a map of Australia with expanding arrows) can only be guessed at this time. Either way, as we said, more environment in open-world racers is always welcome and we look forward to see what route Forza Horizon 3 will follow. If they do go for adding an actual new area to the map, how would this work for players who do not have the pass or have purchased that DLC item? Maybe they just see cars driving through a barrier or something. Thinking along these lines you would have to imagine it will likely be more of the same... would very much like to be proven wrong though. One more thing… those of you with the ULTIMATE!!!! edition will not be getting this included in your purchase. You might however get a discount or you could wait until the 42 edition comes out or something. Unfortunately first-party Microsoft will always want you to pay a premium and more. Source: Microsoft Store
  12. OZ ABOUT THAT THEN! It looks like Playground Games and Turn 10 are onto an absolute winner with Forza Horizon 3 as when the reviews came flooding in they were mainly all glowing. Running at a MIGHTY 90 in the superior Opencritic scoring and currently sitting with a 91 at Metacritic, the game looks to have done everything the previous instalments did so well and expanded on those areas the fans wanted seen to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD1ccSM9qiA Bigger environment is a check, wide-body kits is a check, better campaign progression is a check and the main one of all – having a Reliant 3-wheeler in the game gets the biggest tick of them all! Throw in the supremely creative 'Drone' mode and you got a studio that not only looks at what their players want, but has a look around at the world and considers what they might ask for next. Early media from those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on the game is looking incredible and the impressions, well they cannot help but rave about it. As a racing game mental case, I have always seen the Forza games as the Xbox system seller, and now for the first time for the 'Horizon' series, the game will also be available for those PC fellows and lassies by way of Windows 10. Not only that, buy the ‘Play Anywhere’ Digital Edition and the game will be available on both platforms for the one price. Going that route however will mean losing out on a physical plastic case so that might be a problem for the hoarders or those who emphatically like to fill shelves. Looking like one of the best racers ever those with pre-orders are set for a fun (clean) time and those sitting on the fence have probably had their doubts taken away with the landslide of review media now out there. The only ones who really have a tough choice to face are those who want the game but either don't have an Xbox One, or will need to upgrade their system in order to play it. Now that's a doozy! Forza Horizon 3 - Review round-up The following reviews are for the Xbox One version Opencritic | Metacritic evo - No score just a damn fine write-up from the car people. GamesRadar - 4/5 Eurogamer - No score, just an informative read USgamer - 5/5 Destructoid - 9/10 Videogamer - No score (waiting for online play before scoring) TechRadar - Play It Now! Trusted Reviews - 5/5 Expert Reviews - 5/5 Of course there are your usual outlets such as IGN, GameSpot and others but the above are ones I personally look to more than those. Hell the evo one alone would be enough to sell us on the game! A little addition from myself: It's not hard to see that we are big Test Drive Unlimited fans here at turboduck and it seems kind of fitting that the game which released in 2006 and received a lot of adoration from fans of the driving and racing genre for what it offered is, 10 years later, about to see a title do the same thing and on those exact same platforms too. Seems nuts it took this long but it just goes to show how ahead of its time the original TDU really was. Some got close, but they fell short in some ways but Horizon 3 looks set to do it. 14. Forza Horizon 3 Demo According to the Microsoft Store website a demo for Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One is due to drop sometime today! The listing that appears to have sneaked online in the past few days shows the release date as 12th September, 2016 at 01:00 (UK) which is if using 24 hour time, less than an hour from now. It looks to be quite a sizeable one too, coming in at more than 18GB for download. There have been sightings on POS and promotional materials that seem to mention a demo sometime this week, but it would be excellent if it was this close. The good thing is, there isn’t that long to wait and see for ourselves either way. Unfortunately however, there is no mention of a demo for PC, sorry about that. Source: Microsoft Store UPDATE:// 1 - PC Demo information Forza Horizon 3 PC Demo? Turn 10 have posted information in regards to a PC demo of Forza Horizon 3 and the good news is, one is on its way. The slightly bad news however is that it will not release until after the game's launch. They recommend players eager for a Forza PC fix to try FM6: Apex which recently exited the Beta phase and became a full version release, as what they have learned from that has helped in the development in Horizon 3 for its Windows 10 appearance. We know fans are curious about the state of a Windows 10 PC demo for Forza Horizon 3. A standalone “Forza Horizon 3” PC demo will be released sometime after launch. We invite all players who are eager to play Forza on PC to try “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex”, available now in the Windows 10 Store for free. - Brian Ekberg // ForzaMotorsport.net UPDATE:// 1 - Posted on Sep 13th @ 00:39 am GMT
  15. Forza PC Wheel Support Big news for the Forza PC contingent as Forza Motorsport 6: Apex on Windows 10 leaves Beta and enters full release and brings with it, WHEEL SUPPORT!! And this same support will also be forthcoming to the give me it directly into my veins Forza Horizon 3. Available now, the near 100MB update will enable support in Apex for the following wheels: Logitech G27 Racing Wheel Logitech G25 Racing Wheel Logitech G29 Racing Wheel Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel Thrustmaster T300RS Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel Thrustmaster T150 Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel How good is that?! The Logitech G25 and G27 have a long history of being exceptional wheels for PC racing enthusiasts and to see it being supported really will put a smile on a lot of faces. So go grab a duster and some polish and clean that bad boy down! The wheel... of course... not... anyway! The support doesn’t just end at the wheel and pedals either, no, Turn 10 have done the support right and also enabled H-pattern shifters for the Logitech models listed above, except for the G29 which will get to join the manual shift party at a later date. (no date has been mentioned as to when this will be) The absence of Fanatec is not for long either as products such as the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the CSR models will see their support coming to Apex beginning in late September. Note that there are additional wheels that we plan on bringing on board soon, notably Fanatec products such as the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models. Support for these Fanatec wheels will be arriving in Apex beginning in late September. - Brian Ekberg It also appears that more support for other makes and models will come in the future: We will be adding additional support for H-pattern shifters from other manufacturers in the future. - Brian Ekberg Now how about getting rid of the stupid proprietary nonsense in regards to wheel support on console Microsoft and Sony, huh? 16. Forza Horizon 3: Car List Reveal Week 1 We're getting ever closer to getting our hands on the much anticipated Forza Horizon 3 in just a little over 9 weeks or 65 sleeps for those who have pre-ordered the ultimate edition. There are a fair few cars that are new to the franchise including some cars that I never thought would make it to Forza. I suppose the recent Turn 10 Select Car Pack for Forza 6 was a hint of things to come? The first round of DLC has already been announced which is something that we really don't like to see. If the content is already made then release it on the disc included with the game! Strong whiff of Activision right there. [caption id=attachment_5073" align="aligncenter" width="1120] This sure does look good fun![/caption] There's also a mention of reward tiers, something that we saw in FM6. So be sure to level up Forza Rewards to reap the benefits of the free cars! But be warned, it's no mean feat to reach tier 10. Be sure to check out the gallery at the bottom of the page for some rather tasty pictures of the cars. Laps do not have to be from a standing start (flying laps count). If you already have a faster lap recorded outside of the competition, this does not count, you must record another and take a picture for proof. Banana for scale. If you win, don't forget to chose a car/track for the next week before Monday! Make sure to do your times in RIVALS (or free play), they will not be recorded in test drive. 19. Forza Lamborghini Centenario Turn 10 Studios and Lamborghini have announced at the Geneva International Motor Show that the next Forza cover car will be the Lamborghini Centenario. The super-special and limited edition car created to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the iconic marque and is already sold out in the limited-run of 20 of each Coupe and Roadster versions made available. As it is likely none of us reading this are one of those lucky buggers who have been able to grab one, then the next best thing is getting to see it on the road and failing that at least our games will allow us to somewhat experience the driving pleasure that this car provides. Thankfully it appears it's not an exclusive, as the words "First in Forza" are used, signifying the car will be seen in other games later on. Yay! More info about this 'next Forza' will come at the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo in June, however if we take a look at the typical Forza release schedule - and with Forza Motorsport 6 having released last year - the smart money would put it at being Forza Horizon 3. This being the case is strengthened even more if we look at how the cover for Forza Horizon 2 featured the Lamborghini Huracán. Unless we're going to get a third spin-off for the series in the way of a community-desired Forza Rally, but then having a hypercar fronting a rally-sim might just be a bit on the weird side. We’re excited to continue our long history of working with Lamborghini and to be part of their 100-year anniversary by celebrating the Centenario as the featured cover car of the next Forza game,” said Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. “It’s an honor to announce our partnership at one of the world’s biggest automotive shows, and we look forward to unveiling the game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.” “Working with Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios allows us to broadly share the limited-production Centenario with an unprecedented global audience and let them experience the emotion of driving the most powerful Lamborghini ever produced,” said Maurizio Reggiani, board member for research and development of Automobili Lamborghini. 20. Forza 6 Community Bounty Hunt - Are You Tough Enough? The end of the February bounty hunt is nigh. You have 3 more days to beat RBW Tritons (710th at time of writing) pretty impressive time of 1:38.230 in his Rolls Royce Wraith around the Brands Hatch GP circuit. If you want that Aston Martin V8 Vantage then you need to get racing. As I suspected in the original write up about this bounty hunt, this is no mean feat and many have already fallen by the wayside. I myself have successfully completed the challenge with a time of 1:38.101 but other great racers such as our own superhyper have already thrown in the towel. Paladin Skylark, you're not going to give in too are you? But do not fear, I'll share with you the replay of my fastest lap along with the telemetry so you can see gearing, speeds and pedal positions to help you along the way. Don't forget that you can also do this to any of the top drivers on the leaderboard in game which may help you further. First of all, I do not believe that the time can be beaten unless you have all driving aids turned off and use manual transmission. Manual with clutch would be even better as this saves you time when changing up gear which could be worth half a second or more per lap. It also allows you to blip the throttle on down shifts to bring the revs up and help transfer the cars weight better under braking which can be helpful during corner entry. There are a few tunes at the top of the leaderboards. Most notable is DTM Lionel E46s tunes, both 135% and V.6 along with LMR Harmonics tune. You can't really go wrong using any of the tunes but The LMR tune is a bit more slidey if that's how you prefer to drive. Some of the kerbs can be a massive pain in the arse, quite literally if they throw your car off of the track. The main ones to watch out for are the inside and outside kerbs on the first corner as they can both seriously unsettle the car. The curb on the exit of turn 4 can also give a bumpy ride as seen in the video above. Another one to watch is the inside curb on turn 5 as this will just force you wide. For the first corner you need to brake just before the first white brake board on the left of the track and aim for a late apex to ensure you don't hit the kerbs. For turn 2, trail-braking is key. You need to ease off the brakes as you're going into the corner and then coast until you can see the end of the curb before getting on the power fully otherwise you'll just run wide. Turn 4, another corner where a late apex is beneficial, run wide through the first part of the corner as this allows you to get the power down much sooner to give you a good run at the longest straight on the track. Turn 5, again, you need a late apex to stay away from the inside curb. Take this corner in 4th gear and aim to use the curb on the outside. Turn 8 is one you really need to master to get the laptime. Just as you're going through the right hand kink in the dip, look out for the discoloured piece of track to the right (about 1:07 in the video). You want to start braking just before this with the aim of cutting the next corner. You can go fully off the track and not dirty your lap but try to keep 2 wheels on the curb so you don't lose grip and run wide on the exit. It took me roughly 300 miles to pull together my lap so patience is the key. Just keep practising until you can nail all of the corners and eventually your lap will come. Even with 1 or 2 mistakes (missed apexes and running on bumpy kerbs for me) you can still make the lap. Keep at it! [gallery columns=4" link="file" ids="4253,4252,4251,4250,4249,4248,4247,4246]
  21. Along with the new DLC, there's also a content update this month which fixes a whole load of things. It's good to see they're ironing out any kinks and continuing to improve the game. See below for the full change-log thing:
  22. [headline]Forza Motorsport 6 Announced[/headline] Where better a place to announce the next iteration of your extremely popular racing series than at a HUGE motorshow? That's exactly what Microsoft and Turn 10 have done alongside Ford with the announcement that Forza Motorsport 6 will be coming exclusively to Xbox One as the series hits its 10-year anniversary this year (yes Forza Motorsport came out in 2005 folks!). The partnership with Ford will also see the new Ford GT that was only just revealed at the autoshow itself becoming the 'cover car' of the sixth title. As we here know, Forza Motorsport is a very much loved and respected racing franchise and it will be very exciting to see how it evolves over its predecessor, especially when you consider what Forza Horizon 2 included within it, and of what Project Cars will bring itself to the racing genre on the Xbox platform, releasing earlier this year. 2014 was a decent year for the racing game, it looks like 2015 will be following that nicely too. [subhead]Forza Motorsport 6 - Announce Video[/subhead] Only the very basic mention and video above is all we have been shown but as per the case usually with a FM title, we will no doubt hear and see a whole lot more at E3 in June.
  23. Do you have photographic skills or just snap to capture a moment? Which ever one you are post your Forza 5 Photos here for the rest to see.. I will start off with a Nissan 370z speeding along after the Follow Through on the Top Gear Circuit.
  24. Hi Guys! I thought I would share with you some of my happenings in Forza Horizon 2. So excited to finally have the game after so long watching all the development and such, so its nice to get stuck in! I am a bit rusty with photomode, so please bear with me :)
  25. Falken Tires has open an contest for Forza Motorsport 5 to create a livery for the Subaru BRZ Drift Spec! The winner will have it's livery made on the real car for the 2014 season of Formula D.
